Human Girl

After killing that Human elder, there were no more experts left in the city—just a few average Human cultivators. Evan Chu didn’t need to act personally; the Yang Family head and the others could easily handle them.

"You have half a stick of incense to finish off the remaining Human experts. We need to move on to the next city—don’t make me wait too long." (Note: 'half a stick of incense' is a traditional Chinese time unit, roughly 5–15 minutes, commonly used in cultivation novels.) Evan said to the group.

"Don’t worry, young master—we guarantee we’ll get it done!" everyone responded in unison, then quickly vanished as they set off. Evan, meanwhile, was still reflecting on the effect of his recent dual-element attacks.

“Now that I’ve mastered the five elements, I can naturally communicate with the elements inside a domain. Next time, I should try fusing water and fire for an attack—the result might be several times stronger than a single element.” Evan muttered to himself.

"You’re getting smarter—you actually know how to use composite elements as attack skills. Not bad! Composite elements are much more powerful. When you fused the five elements before, their power multiplied. Once your cultivation reaches a certain level, you’ll be able to merge and unleash all five element shifts at once. I can’t even imagine how strong that’ll be—maybe you’ll be able to destroy the entire Netherworld with a single move." Luna praised him.

The higher your cultivation realm, the more terrifying your attack power will be. Evan, I believe that one day you’ll be able to wield the Ninefold Stellar Transformation to its fullest." Luna said.

"Don’t worry, Big Sis Luna—I’ll definitely do it. Because I’m a genius, and because I’m the man you chose." Evan replied.

Before long, the Yang Family head and the others returned. Evan knew they’d finished the job, so he told one of the Third-Layer Venerable guest experts, "You stay here and guard the city. The rest of you, come with me."

Soon after, Evan and his group entered another city—Trinity Waters City. Just as the name suggests, this place was surrounded by three moat-rivers, forming natural defenses. The Beast King had originally wanted to build the Beast Clan capital here, but his innate aversion to water led him to choose Beast King City instead.

"We might run into the Human King Zander Xiang here, so everyone be careful. Leave Zander Xiang to me—you just focus on your own safety." Evan instructed the group.

"Zander Xiang is the Human race’s number one powerhouse—rumor has it he’s even stronger than the Ghost King. Young master, you really need to be careful. Don’t be reckless. If you can’t win, run for it and don’t worry about us." the Yang Family head advised.

"Got it. Let’s head into the city and see for ourselves—I hope it’s not as bad as I’m imagining," Evan said.

Everyone quickly split up—Trinity Waters City was huge, after all. Spreading out made it easier to avoid attention and get things done. Evan swaggered through the city gates; there were no guards now. Inside, screams, sobbing, and the roars of Beast Clan cultivators in beast form echoed through the streets.

"Humans really do move fast, but it’s your bad luck to run into me, Evan Chu. Back at the Nine-Shade City wedding, if you’d just been polite, maybe we could’ve been friends—as fellow Humans, I might’ve let you have the Beast territory. But your two disciples sneered at me, and you didn’t say a word. Since that’s how it is, don’t blame me for being ruthless." Evan muttered.

Maybe it was fate—Evan had barely entered Trinity Waters City when he saw a middle-aged man and a Human girl slaughtering Beast Clan cultivators with ruthless ferocity. The girl’s attacks showed not a hint of softness.

Evan saw the girl, and she saw him too. She stopped killing Beasts and snapped at Evan, "You little punk, what are you doing here? Trying to steal Trinity Waters City from us? You were so arrogant back in Nine-Shade City—today I’ll make sure you’re not arrogant anymore! A Human who marries into the Shade Clan, becoming the Shade Lord’s son-in-law… You’ve disgraced our entire race. Killing you is the only way I’ll be satisfied!"

Evan hadn’t expected her prejudice to run so deep. He’d already detested her, and now, hearing this, he felt that simply killing her would be letting her off easy. A wicked idea was already forming in his mind.

He laughed, "Someone as ugly as you isn’t even qualified to talk to me. Have you ever looked in a mirror? If I looked like you, I’d never show my face in public—anyone who saw you would have nightmares. Acting all high and mighty… you’re shameless! So young and you’ve already lost your virginity—if I were you, I’d have killed myself long ago to apologize to the world."

"You… you’ve gone too far! Die!" The girl could no longer tolerate Evan’s vicious mockery. Her face twisted with rage—making her, who was usually as beautiful as Lin Ruoxi, look utterly ferocious. She charged at Evan, sword flashing, determined to hack him to pieces.

Against someone who hadn’t even reached the Venerable Martial Realm, Evan could ignore her completely. He could stand there and let her swing away without taking any damage—maybe she’d just tire herself out and collapse.

"Hit a nerve, did I? Now you’re furious. Tsk, the morals of the world have really fallen—how did Zander Xiang end up with such a shameless female disciple? She’s a disgrace to Human powerhouses everywhere." Evan added, twisting the knife.

Already enraged, the girl’s swordplay grew even fiercer at Evan’s words. In a flash, she was right in front of him. The middle-aged man with her tried to stop her, but it was too late—he could only shout, "Miss, be careful!"

Her sword struck Evan’s body, and for a moment she was ecstatic—she thought she’d finally killed the detestable thief. But the blade felt like it hit solid steel; pain shot through her wrist, and her sword couldn’t even scratch his defense.

The girl was clever—she instantly realized how terrifying Evan was and spun around, trying to escape. But Evan had no intention of letting her go. He unleashed Star Siphon, and a powerful suction pulled her helplessly to his side.

At that moment, Evan’s face twisted into a devilish grin the girl would never forget. He grabbed her proud, full chest with both hands and squeezed hard, as if trying to crush it—the force was immense.
