A Place That Cannot Be Entered

The stewards and the others exchanged glances, even sweeping the area with their divine sense, but Evan Yang was nowhere to be found.

"You still dare to come?" Gale Foster snorted coldly. His map had been stolen by Elder Liu, and because of him, he'd lost three sworn brothers. His hatred for Elder Liu was unending.

"Steward, is he really dead?" Third Master Gale asked.

"Logically, he should be dead," the steward replied. The others weren't as strong as him, so they hadn't seen what happened to Evan Yang at the last moment.

But the steward had seen it: after Evan Yang spoke those words, he fell unconscious, but now his body was gone, leaving the steward frustrated.

"Stop pretending!" Gale Foster shouted angrily.

"Let's return to the main hall and arrange things," the steward said, seeing that hovering in midair wasn't going to solve anything. He quickly addressed the others.

"Hmph, you'll find out soon enough. It's your own stupidity!" Gale Foster snorted.

Inside Gale Hall, the steward summoned many guards and issued orders one by one.

"You know perfectly well—I'm fused with him now, and right now he's basically dead. How could I possibly feel good?" Little Leo replied gloomily, then collapsed, unable to even stand on his own two feet.

Evan Yang, unconscious, had no idea his soul was already shattered—much less that he'd been sent into a terrifying place.

"It probably wasn't him. If those two really teamed up, they could easily subdue the Fenn Family," Steward Fenn replied.

The steward felt more and more pressure: first, the brewer had kidnapped Second Young Master Fenn to extort the method for resolving the Tyrant Seal's backlash; second, Sevenmile Peak's pursuers had shown mastery of the Tyrant Seal Art.

He had no idea that all of this was actually orchestrated by Evan Yang alone.

Meanwhile, Elder Liu had no idea he was being pushed further and further away by Evan Yang, and the Fenn Family was already searching everywhere for their whereabouts.

"That was close, kid—you really don't care about your own life," Mad Elder sighed, looking at the unconscious Evan Yang in his hands.

Just now, it was Mad Elder who intervened—otherwise, Evan Yang's corpse would have already been taken away by the Fenn Family. Evan Yang himself had no idea that someone had rescued him after he lost consciousness.

The guards outside immediately sensed something was wrong, and Gale Foster noticed it too. By the time he reacted, Elder Liu was already in front of him, and the guards rushed in as well.

Elder Liu sighed inwardly. "Are all these guards at the Shadow-God Realm?" He hadn't expected so many of them to be at that level.

"It's you!" Gale Foster exclaimed, quickly stepping back to join his guards. At the same time, he sent a message to the main peak master. He'd originally returned to send his disciples to search for Elder Liu and the others, but never expected Elder Liu to boldly come to his peak.

"That's true. Still, it's good your power helped support him for a bit—otherwise, his soul would've already scattered," Mad Elder sighed.

"Why are you talking so much? Can you save him or not? I risked my life just like you told me—if you can't bring him back, I'm not letting you off!" Little Leo glared.

Mad Elder glanced at Evan Yang. "There is a way, but to repair his soul, we have to go to a certain place."

"What place?" Little Leo asked curiously.

"A dangerous place, but also a place of great fortune," Mad Elder muttered.

"Stop being so secretive. It's just the two of us here," Little Leo said.

"Are you even human?" Mad Elder shot back, glaring.

"Fine, I won't argue with you. Just hurry up and figure out how to restore his soul—if it isn't fixed within the deadline, he'll really be gone for good." Little Leo felt weaker and weaker, struggling even to speak. This was all tied to Yang Han's condition.

The weaker Evan Yang became, the weaker Little Leo grew.

Seeing Little Leo's state, Mad Elder understood, so he stood up and said, "Let's go."

With that, Mad Elder grabbed Evan Yang in one hand and Little Leo in the other, traversing through planets and the void.

He moved at incredible speed. If Yang Han weren't unconscious, he'd definitely be curious enough to ask Mad Elder about his true strength.

But Evan Yang, unconscious and with his soul nearly shattered, knew nothing at all.

Soon, Mad Elder left the planetary region behind and arrived at a place with no planets in sight. Before him stretched a vast expanse of white.

It was as if a patch of fog hung in the void—white and impenetrable, with no way to see what lay inside. But outside the fog, several large characters were displayed. No matter the angle, that line was always visible.

"Regardless of life or death, entry is forbidden. Violation will result in soul annihilation."

"Regardless of life or death, entry is forbidden. Violation will result in soul annihilation."

"What do you know?" Mad Elder shot back, glaring.

"How could I not know? This is the Soul-World—feared by both the Human World and the Immortal Realm! If a living or dead soul enters here, it's certain death. Do I really need to spell it out for you?" Little Leo glared back.

"So is he alive or dead right now?" Mad Elder asked with a smile.

"Are you playing word games with me? Old man, this is about whether he lives or dies—how can you be like this?" Little Leo was completely exasperated by Mad Elder.

"Enough. This is the only option right now. His soul is extremely weak—almost no different from a dead man's, but there's still a trace of living aura," Mad Elder said.

"Isn't this hurting him? Aren't there any immortal pills or methods to restore his soul?" Little Leo asked, frustrated.

"If his soul weren't like this, maybe medicine could help. But now his soul is shattered, and only your leftover strength is holding it together. Once that connection disappears, his soul will break apart for good," Mad Elder explained.

Little Leo listened to Mad Elder and realized it was true—a shattered soul isn't just an injured soul. If it were only badly wounded, medicine or other methods might work over time.

"Sigh, it's all my fault—I gave him too much power, and that backlash nearly killed him," Little Leo muttered.

"I'm not done questioning you about this—I'll deal with you later," Mad Elder said.

"Enough talk. If he's going in, let's get it over with," Little Leo said helplessly. He'd planned to stop them, but now all his hopes were pinned on the Soul-World.

"Alright, I'll try. After all, if we go in ourselves, we'll die. Let me see if there's a way to send him in," Mad Elder mused.

"Just throw him in," Little Leo said after thinking it over.

"Throw? You want me to throw him in? What if he lands right in some monster's mouth? No one knows what it's like inside—I really don't know what to do," Mad Elder grumbled, never having entered before.

"Stop stalling. If anyone dies, it'll be me—what are you worried about?" The more Little Leo watched, the more anxious he felt, as if he were just waiting for death.

"Alright, then—good luck to you both," Mad Elder said after some thought. He wrapped Yang Han in a layer of light, a protective barrier.

"What did you just do to him?" Little Leo asked curiously.

Then Mad Elder tossed Evan Yang inside. He moved so fast that Evan Yang disappeared into the white fog in an instant.

"That's good—at least it'll keep the little guys at bay. I just wish I knew what was inside. I really want to go in and see for myself," Little Leo said, frustrated.

"We'll just have to wait here," Mad Elder sighed.

"That's all we can do. Damn it," Little Leo collapsed weakly on Mad Elder's shoulder.

Evan Yang, unconscious, had no idea his soul was already shattered—much less that he'd been sent into a terrifying place.

This place was unimaginably terrifying. No one had ever come out alive—whether living or dead, any soul entering would be annihilated.

Meanwhile, the Fenn Family was still searching everywhere for Evan Yang and Elder Liu.

Elder Liu had no idea what was happening. He was still hiding in a secluded spot at the foot of Third Peak, watching the mountain for any changes.

It wasn't until one day, when Zhang Xiaofeng returned alone, that Elder Liu decided to sneak in after some thought.

Back when he was vice peak master, Elder Liu knew the mountain inside and out—where guards were stationed, where they weren't, everything was clear to him.

"Of course it's me—who else did you expect?" Elder Liu said, knowing that with Gale Foster and these guards' strength, he had nothing to fear.
