The Tragic Ordeal of Elder Liu and Mason Liu
That aura was overwhelmingly strong. Elder Liu instantly sensed something was wrong and tried to escape, but it was too late. Suddenly, an old man appeared before him and said, "Still thinking of running?"
"May I ask who you are, senior?" Elder Liu never imagined things would become so disastrous—he had never expected to encounter such calamity.
"My disciple is the First Peak Lord of Sevenmile Peak. I've heard you are accused of taking something belonging to them, so I came to investigate." the old man replied.
Elder Liu knew he was in real trouble now, but there was no way he could admit anything, so he said, "Senior, I truly haven't done it—I'm being framed."
"Framed? Who's framing you? Because of you, three of our brothers are dead!" Gale Foster shouted angrily.
Elder Liu frowned, "How did I cause the deaths of your three brothers?"
Just then, the First Peak Lord and another peak lord arrived, having rushed over.
Seeing so many people arrive, Elder Liu felt utterly defeated. "Still denying it!" the First Peak Lord shouted angrily from the doorway.
"I didn't take your things, and I didn't kill your brothers!" Elder Liu replied.
Gale Foster argued back, his anger flaring, refusing to believe Elder Liu. The First Peak Lord joined the confrontation, voices rising until Senior Liu finally spoke with authority: "Enough. Quiet, all of you. I'll take charge from here."
Senior Liu flashed over to Elder Liu’s side. Elder Liu tried to resist, but it was already too late—a palm struck the back of his head, and he collapsed.
"The three of you, find a private room. Everyone else, wait outside," Senior Liu ordered.
Zhang Xiaofeng nodded and quickly led Senior Liu and the other two peak lords to their usual secret meeting room, which was soundproof and blocked divine sense.
Once everything was ready, Senior Liu said, "Whatever you see next, don’t speak of it outside."
Everyone nodded. Senior Liu produced a needle and inserted it directly into Elder Liu’s head. There was no blood—it slid in as if it belonged there.
Senior Liu muttered something under his breath and waved his hand. Elder Liu woke up, but he wasn’t fully conscious—dazed and muddled, as if under the effect of a Mind-Veil Pill.
Senior Liu asked, "Did you take the map fragment?"
"No," Elder Liu replied.
Zhang Xiaofeng grew anxious and tried to argue, but the First Peak Lord stopped him.
Senior Liu frowned. "Did you suppress his cultivation by several realms?"
