Chapter 612: Consolidation

"Are you saying that anyone can go in and bathe?" Leon interrupted Anderson, a hint of disbelief in his voice. If what Anderson just said was true, then this was beyond outrageous—even Leon himself was tempted.

Just imagine—a mage with a body as strong as a high-tier Sword Saint. What would that even mean...

"You're overthinking it..." Anderson's words caught Leon off guard. "Primordial Deity Blood is one of the most terrifying things in this world. Its power is far beyond your imagination. Any living being immersed in it would have their body strengthened to an unimaginable degree. At the extreme, it could even rival Adamantine..."

"Holy crap!" Leon was startled. Adamantine was said to be the hardest metal in all of Northend. The legendary Throne of All Creation, and the Sanctuary Tower Leon had once seen, were both forged with copious amounts of Adamantine.

It was said that if even a small amount of Adamantine was mixed into a suit of armor, it could withstand all spells below Tier Four. Not even a spirit-level weapon could leave a scratch on it.

As for armor made entirely of Adamantine...

Leon had never actually seen one. Even a piece of Adamantine the size of a fingertip weighed at least a thousand pounds. Armor made wholly from Adamantine—only a Primordial Deity could possibly wear it...

If Primordial Deity Blood could turn a person's body into Adamantine, then that would be something anyone would dream of...

But then, why did Anderson say he was overthinking it...

"Tell me, Anderson, I don't quite get it. If Primordial Deity Blood is that powerful, isn't that a good thing?"

"Of course it's a good thing..." Anderson rolled his eyes. "But precisely because Primordial Deity Blood is so overwhelmingly strong, if you bathe in it, your body becomes completely insulated from magical elements. Do you realize what that means...?"

"Uh..." Leon was dumbstruck. Total insulation from magical elements meant losing the ability to use magic entirely. At that point, no matter how tough your body was, you'd just be a sturdier target.

That would be a real problem...

I'm a mage, Reina is both mage and warrior—neither of us could afford to lose our magic. And the alchemical golem is just a construct, not a living being, so that's out of the question too.

The only one who could possibly bathe in Primordial Deity Blood is probably Hubert. As a Dragonblood Orc, he never relies on magic in battle—his spellcasting comes from body runes and the dragon blood in his veins. Whether he can connect with magical elements means nothing to him...

Just as Leon was thinking this, Anderson spoke again: "But Merlin, if you drink a vial of Primordial Deity Blood, you can greatly enhance your physical strength. The key is, drinking it generates an enormous amount of magical power. Even a small bottle can let you break through the Mage rank and become a Title Mage. Oh, I almost forgot—Primordial Deity Blood will let you truly touch the fundamental laws of the world. Once you drink it, your spellcasting ability jumps at least a whole tier. You'll find that when you channel elemental power, it'll respond as naturally as your own limbs. Honestly, the benefits of drinking it aren't much less than bathing in it..."

"Huh?" Leon's eyes lit up at that. "You mean even Reina can drink it?"

"Exactly. Don't ask me why—I'm not sure myself. I just know someone did it before, and it worked."

"When was this, roughly?"
