One Move Each

1/19/2026

The three God-Emperors didn’t attack Evan Chu right away. Instead, they surrounded him in a three-pronged formation—so that if he tried to attack any one of them, the other two could strike him immediately.

It was the simplest and most advantageous tactic for now. “This kid is only at mid-stage God-Emperor. We’ll trap him with our Domains and then attack. No matter how strong he is, he’s doomed. Everyone, don’t let your guard down!” one of the God-Emperors transmitted via sound.

As for their Space Domains, Evan Chu could basically ignore them. With his current cultivation, he could withstand even late-stage God-Emperor Domains—early-stage God-Venerable Domains were no problem either. How laughable that these three still thought so highly of themselves.

The three God-Emperors exchanged glances and smiled, each unleashing their Space Domain on Evan Chu. Their faces brimmed with confidence, as if victory was already in their grasp. In such Domains, a mere mid-stage God-King ant would be doomed for sure.

Evan Chu did feel a bit of pressure, but it didn’t restrict his movement at all. For someone as battle-hardened as him, this was nothing. He was even considering whether to gather up the elemental molecules inside their Space Domains and serve these three a real elemental feast.

A moment later, Evan Chu made his decision. He’d used the elemental feast trick too many times before, so this time he’d switch things up. Since they thought he was locked down by their Space Domains, he’d wait for them to attack and hit them with a surprise move they’d never see coming.

He wanted them to see just how weak and worthless their so-called Space Domains really were. At that thought, a sly smile crept onto Evan Chu’s lips.

After a few breaths, one of the God-Emperors couldn’t help but say, “This kid’s actually got some skill—he’s held out in our Space Domains for so long. Not bad, really. Too bad he’s dying here today, but that’s still a decent end for him.”

“He killed our brother, so of course he has to die. I’ll be the one to avenge him today!” another God-Emperor roared, his figure flickering as he lunged at Evan Chu. The other two’s Space Domains seemed to have no effect on him—he was instantly in front of Evan.

“Your time’s up, kid!” The God-Emperor summoned a silver-white longsword and slashed at Evan Chu with all his strength, aiming to take his life in one blow.

Evan Chu just laughed. “You want me dead? You’re not worthy!” As soon as the words fell, his left hand unleashed Absolute Cleave!

This was Evan Chu’s second time using Absolute Cleave as a God-Emperor. Instantly, about twenty percent of his Chaos Divine Power was drained—but the terrifying might of the attack left him satisfied. The God-Emperor’s sword-qi was wiped out completely by Absolute Cleave.

The space around them trembled violently. Evan Chu’s strike was no weaker than the shockwaves from the battle between Rainbow Court Mistress and the Drifting Cloud Pavilion Master in Rainbow City. For tens of thousands of miles, everyone could feel the fearsome power of this blow.

Even Blue-Shade God-Venerable and his group, thousands of miles away, sensed the overwhelming force. From the direction of the tremors, they could tell it was where Evan Chu had flown. Only Evan could cause such a commotion—no wonder he dared to fight alone.

A huge chasm, dozens of meters wide and bottomless, split open the ground. The God-Emperor was utterly annihilated by that strike; all that remained was a faint, bloody scent lingering in the air.

Another one-shot kill—inside the Space Domains of two God-Emperors, no less. Such terrifying attack power was beyond their wildest imagination. This was at least God-Venerable level. The two surviving God-Emperors were left dumbfounded.

And when Evan Chu shattered their Space Domains, the two suffered powerful backlash and severe internal injuries. No matter how hard it was to believe, the truth was right before their eyes—they had no choice but to accept it.

Now was not the time for hesitation—striking while the enemy was down was Evan Chu’s specialty. While the two were still reeling from his last attack, Evan’s figure flashed before one of them. With his other sword, the Snowbound Divine Sword, he unleashed the fifth form of the Wind-God Sword Art.

The sudden assault caught the God-Emperor completely off guard. He swung his sword at Evan Chu and tried to retreat, but against the fifth form of the Wind-God Sword Art, his attack was nothing but child’s play.

Evan Chu’s raging wind-blade sword-qi crushed the enemy’s defense, erasing it without a trace. The sword-qi struck home, and a cry of agony escaped the God-Emperor’s lips—maybe the last sound he’d ever make in this world.

That God-Emperor was shredded by the wind-blade, leaving the air thick with blood. Even in death, he couldn’t understand how a mid-stage God-Emperor could one-shot a late-stage God-Emperor—such a thing was unheard of. But now, he’d never learn the truth.

At this moment, the last God-Emperor was scared out of his wits by Evan Chu. He didn’t dare attack anymore; all he could think about was escaping.

Evan Chu saw right through his intentions. Before the God-Emperor could move, Evan unleashed the Ninefold Golden Body Art—five Golden Bodies plus his main body appeared before the enemy.

Normally, Evan Chu’s Golden Bodies resided in the Timewheel Bracelet, but he could summon them whenever he wanted. This always made him feel satisfied.

Now, five Golden Bodies plus Evan Chu’s main body—six identical Evans—completely blocked the God-Emperor’s escape. Such an unheard-of sight filled the God-Emperor with terror and utter despair.

Evan Chu didn’t plan for the Golden Bodies to attack; with their current power, they couldn’t match a God-Emperor. He only wanted them to stall for time. As soon as his Chaos Divine Power was ready, he unleashed another Absolute Cleave at his opponent.

Absolute Cleave’s power was beyond anything that God-Emperor could resist. Evan Chu’s strike left not even bones behind, and the instant the move was unleashed, the five Golden Bodies returned to his main body.

All four late-stage God-Emperors were slain by Evan Chu. For him, it was just another day. If it had been four early-stage God-Venerables, he was confident he could kill them too; at worst, he wouldn’t lose. But if he had to face mid-stage God-Venerables, then he’d have no choice but to run for his life…
