If I let Fire Dragon and Storm Roc out, this fight would be over in no time. But that would expose my true strength—and right now, those beasts are my greatest trump card. Unless things get truly desperate, I’m not letting them loose. No, this time I’ll fight myself. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll smash through my bottleneck in the heat of battle.
“Big Bro, those three God-Venerables are yours. Leave the four late-stage God-Emperors to me. Sound good?” Evan Chu called out to Blue-Shade God-Venerable, voice full of fighting spirit.
“No problem… but are you sure you’re up for this? Those are four late-stage God-Emperors! Every one of them is a whole realm above you. You really think you can pull this off?” Blue-Shade God-Venerable stared in shock.
“Relax. Just trust me! I’ve been stuck at this bottleneck way too long—it’s about time I broke through. And this is the perfect chance.” Evan Chu grinned, calm and confident.
The seven enemies across from them didn’t take this well—especially the four late-stage God-Emperors, who were so furious they nearly exploded. To be looked down on by a mere mid God-Emperor ant? That was pure humiliation! The killing intent rolling off them became almost tangible.
“You little punk, you dare look down on us? Careful you don’t bite your own tongue! Today, you’re not leaving alive!” one of the late-stage God-Emperors snarled, unable to hold back his anger.
“I’m already showing you plenty of respect, so don’t push it. If you’ve got the guts, come at me!” Evan Chu shot back, not wanting to fight here—after all, with God-Venerables around, if they hit him with a Space Domain, he’d be in real trouble.
Even though he could break free from a Space Domain in a short time, that moment of escape was the most dangerous. He had to minimize the risk and let Blue-Shade God-Venerable focus fully on the fight.
As soon as Evan Chu finished speaking, he flashed away, leaving only a blur behind. Elder Gu barked, “You four, go kill that arrogant brat! Blue-Shade is ours. You lot would just get in the way here!”
“Understood, Elder! I’ll bring back that kid’s head!” one God-Emperor replied, and the four of them shot off after Evan Chu in hot pursuit.
Evan Chu was blindingly fast. Even with all their strength, the four God-Emperors couldn’t catch up. “This brat’s speed is unreal! We can’t let him slip away, or Elder Gu will have our heads!” one of them shouted, panic creeping in.
“Hey kid, if you’ve got guts, quit running! Didn’t you say you’d kill us? All you can do is run—what a joke!” another God-Emperor taunted, trying to provoke him.
“Catch up to me first, then talk! Four late-stage God-Emperors can’t even chase down a mid-tier ant? Looks like you’re all just a bunch of useless blowhards! Hahaha!” Evan Chu laughed, full of swagger.
The four God-Emperors were so mad their faces turned green, but Evan Chu was simply too fast—they had no choice but to keep chasing.
After flying nearly ten thousand miles, Evan Chu finally stopped. He’d gone this far to avoid becoming a burden to Blue-Shade God-Venerable. Even a late-stage God-Venerable couldn’t hurt him from this distance, and the four God-Emperors wouldn’t be able to rush over to help.
The four soon caught up, surprised to see Evan Chu standing still. One sneered, “What, you’re not running anymore? Out of Divine Power, huh? Weren’t you so tough just now? Go on, run—let’s see you try!”
“I’m not running—I’m waiting to send you all packing. Come on, all four of you at once, let’s not waste time!” Evan Chu said with a calm smile.
As he spoke, Evan Chu drew his Frostbane Divine Sword and Snowbound Divine Sword. Both blades shimmered with an eerie light—obviously top-tier divine weapons. The sight made the four God-Emperors’ eyes burn with greed.
“This kid’s packing some serious divine weapons—he’s no pushover. If we kill him, there’s gotta be more treasures. Looks like the four of us hit the jackpot today!” one God-Emperor said, eyes blazing.
“No need for all four of us to gang up—one of us can handle him. But don’t worry, whatever loot he’s got, we’ll split it evenly. I’m not greedy,” another God-Emperor said, stepping forward.
Without hesitation, the God-Emperor flashed forward, launching a deadly attack at Evan Chu—determined to end him in a single blow.
Evan Chu glanced at the charging God-Emperor and smirked, "Overestimating yourself, huh? If you’re so eager to die, let me grant your wish!"
In a blur of movement, Evan Chu swung his Snowbound Divine Sword in a swift arc—the fifth form of Blue-Shade God-Venerable’s Wind-God Sword Art. It looked like a single strike, but it actually contained six sword moves. Instantly, the sky darkened and the entire God Realm trembled violently.
The savage force of the attack tore toward the God-Emperor, unleashing a storm of energy that ripped up earth and grass, sending debris flying everywhere. The whole world was shrouded in chaos, but to Evan Chu, this was nothing.
"Such terrifying power!" That was the only thought in the God-Emperor’s mind as he faced Evan Chu’s strike.
Just as that thought flashed through his mind, their attacks collided—deafening thunder echoed, followed by a blood-curdling scream. The sky was suddenly filled with a rain of blood, and the late-stage God-Emperor vanished without a trace.
One move. Evan Chu had killed a late-stage God-Emperor with a single strike. But this was just as he’d expected—back when he was only an early God-King, he’d defeated mid God-Emperors. Now, as a mid God-Emperor, he figured he could even fight a mid God-Venerable—so long as they didn’t trap him in a Space Domain.
The air was thick with blood, shredded by his wind blades. The other three God-Emperors never imagined their ant would turn into a man-eating tiger in the blink of an eye. The shock was so great that terror twisted their faces.
“Pathetic. You three should attack together—I don’t have time to waste!” Evan Chu said coldly.
The three God-Emperors snapped out of it. Evan Chu’s provocation was intolerable, but they figured their companion had only died because he underestimated him. Still, to be safe, the three decided to attack together.
Little did they know, Evan Chu had only used his Snowbound Divine Sword so far—his Chaos Arm and Absolute Cleave were still hidden. Now, he had a wild idea: what if he unleashed Ninefold Divine-Dragon Metamorphosis and tried to wipe out all three in one go?
Only Evan Chu would dare think of something so insane. Could he really kill all three in a single strike? (Support the story with a tip!)
