What's Up With Three People Going Out Together
Charles Yin watched the three of them leave and said to Cecilia, "Why do I smell a conspiracy brewing?"
Cecilia chuckled, "Just wait and see! I have a feeling the ending will totally surprise us."
First, Molly Yun rarely gives advice to others.
Second, Molly Yun’s advice would benefit anyone, though whether others choose to listen is up to them.
Cecilia smiled mysteriously, "Let’s keep it a secret for now. You’ll find out soon enough."
Charles Yin pinched Cecilia’s cheek and said, "Alright, we’ve eaten, we’ve sent everyone off, isn’t it time to go home? You need to get your fetal heart monitoring done!"
Cecilia couldn’t help but cover her face—here we go again!
Cecilia Gu grinned at Eric Jiang and Charles Yin as they walked in. "Eric Jiang's mother said we can take any flowers we like today."
After finishing, Molly Yun sighed softly and said, "Actually, what I said might be a little one-sided and harsh. Everyone has their own helplessness and reasons for what they do. Anyone who judges from a moral high ground without knowing the situation is being irresponsible. I haven’t stood in your shoes, so I don’t understand your pain or your endurance. I’m just watching your joys and sorrows from afar, but I can’t read what’s really in your heart."
Charles Yin raised an eyebrow, "Can’t help it. You grow the flowers Cecilia likes best. You should focus on your own life for once, and let us take care of your plants!"
Yvonne Ye suddenly rushed over and hugged Molly Yun, crying softly.
Eric Jiang still remembered vividly, Nora Yun in the car on the way to the hospital, gazing longingly at the girls on the street and saying, 'When will I be able to go shopping, watch movies, and eat ice cream as simply as everyone else?'
Looks like this girl has been holding it in for a long time.
Today, she accidentally pierced through her facade of strength.
"It’s okay, just cry. There’s no one else here," Molly Yun comforted her like a big sister. "If anyone asks, just say you cut your finger and it hurt so much you cried."
Molly Yun was about to politely decline, but Cecilia nodded and said, "Molly’s been helping me for ages without a real break. There’s nothing urgent this afternoon, so just go with them! I’ll head home with Charles soon, and Wendy will take care of me."
She even found Yvonne Ye an excuse to cry.
With both Cecilia and Wendy saying so, it wouldn’t be right for Molly Yun to refuse.
Molly Yun’s gentle attentiveness truly resembled that indistinct figure from her dreams.
Molly Yun leaned against the left door, gazing out at the scenery, lost in thought—so much like Nora Yun in those days.
After she finished, Yvonne Ye looked embarrassed and said, "Sorry, I got your clothes dirty."
Molly Yun comforted her, "It’s fine, it’s just a work uniform. I can take this chance to ask Cici for a couple more sets."
With one sentence, she managed to make Yvonne Ye laugh.
Cecilia Gu couldn’t help but laugh too. "Molly, I never knew you could be so funny."
"Uh... there’s a movie this afternoon. Do you want to go?" Eric Jiang added quickly, "Cecilia’s due date is close, so she can’t be around crowds—it’s dangerous."
Thanks to Molly Yun changing the subject, Yvonne Ye’s mood gradually returned to normal.
At that moment, footsteps sounded outside, and Eric Jiang’s voice came from the doorway: "Wow, the moment I leave, you start eyeing my greenhouse."
Cecilia Gu grinned at Eric Jiang and Charles Yin as they walked in. "Aunt said we can take any flowers we like today."
Eric Jiang said to Charles Yin, "Cousin, you’re the richest guy here. Do you really have to be so stingy?"
Charles Yin raised an eyebrow, "Can’t help it. You grow the flowers Cici likes best. You should focus on your own life for once, and let us take care of your plants!"
With that one sentence, both Yvonne Ye and Eric Jiang looked a little awkward.
Molly Yun’s eyes flickered, but her face stayed expressionless.
Eric Jiang glanced at Yvonne Ye, then looked at Molly Yun and asked, "This afternoon, are you... are you free?"
Yvonne Ye and Molly Yun both stared at him in surprise.
"Uh... there’s a movie this afternoon. Do you want to go?" Eric Jiang added quickly, "Cici’s due date is close, so she can’t be around crowds—it’s dangerous."
Molly Yun blinked.
Don’t rich guys usually watch movies in their home theaters?
Why bother squeezing into a public cinema?
Maybe he wants to say something privately?
Yvonne Ye looked at Eric Jiang, then at Molly Yun, as if she was weighing her options.
Clearly, this decision was really hard for her.
Finally, Yvonne Ye gritted her teeth and said, "Alright, Miss Yun, you should come too."
Molly Yun gave Yvonne Ye a strange look.
What did that mean?
Didn’t she just ask me to back out a moment ago?
Why invite me now?
Wouldn’t it be better if the two of them went alone?
It’d be a good chance to build their relationship!
If I go, won’t I just be a third wheel?
Eric Jiang seemed pleasantly surprised by Yvonne Ye’s response, and looked at Molly Yun with anticipation.
Nora Yun was always too frail to go shopping or enjoy the simple pleasures most girls had.
Eric Jiang still remembered clearly, Nora Yun in the car on the way to the hospital, looking enviously at the girls on the street and saying, 'When will I get to go shopping, watch movies, and eat ice cream like everyone else?'
Things that were easy for most girls were off-limits for Nora Yun.
If her wishes couldn’t be fulfilled in her last life, why not make up for it in this one?
Eric Jiang looked at Molly Yun with anticipation.
Molly Yun was about to politely decline, but Cici nodded and said, "Molly’s been helping me for ages without a real break. There’s nothing urgent this afternoon, so just go with them! I’ll head home with Charles soon, and Wendy will take care of me."
Wendy laughed and said, "Yes, I’ll take care of Mrs. Yin the whole time. You can relax and enjoy yourself."
With both Cici and Wendy saying so, it wouldn’t be right for Molly Yun to refuse.
Molly Yun nodded, "Alright, I’ll go."
Once the plans were happily set, Molly Yun and Yvonne Ye left with Eric Jiang.
Charles Yin watched the three of them leave and said to Cici, "Why do I smell a conspiracy brewing?"
Cici chuckled, "Just wait and see! I have a feeling the ending will totally surprise us."

Wendy couldn’t help but ask, "Mrs. Yin, do you mean which one Eric Jiang will choose in the end?"
Cici smiled mysteriously, "Let’s keep it a secret for now. You’ll find out soon enough."
Charles Yin pinched Cici’s cheek and said, "Alright, we’ve eaten, we’ve sent everyone off, isn’t it time to go home? You need to get your fetal heart monitoring done!"
Cici couldn’t help but cover her face—here we go again!
She’d said it before—her placenta was only just mature, she still had plenty of time before giving birth!
Why didn’t he believe her?
Eric Jiang drove off with two beauties.
The whole way there, Eric Jiang felt super awkward.
But Mrs. Jiang insisted the three of them go together, so he couldn’t say no!
She said it’d save time or something.
Save time, my foot.
He really didn’t want to be stuck with Yvonne Ye, okay?
Should he use this chance to make Yvonne Ye give up?
Yeah, that seemed like a good idea.
Eric Jiang kept scheming as he drove.
He kept glancing nervously in the rearview mirror.
Molly Yun leaned against the left door, gazing thoughtfully out the window—just like Nora Yun used to.
Yvonne Ye sat by the right door.
Her eyes looked like she’d been crying.
And she kept sneaking glances at Molly Yun... Huh? What’s with all the sneaking looks?
Yvonne Ye kept staring at Molly Yun’s profile.
She’d thought Eric Jiang was pretty great.
But now, Molly Yun seemed even better...
So gentle and thoughtful, calm and wise, smart and decisive...
She seemed to have every good quality rolled into one.
At the theater, while Eric Jiang parked the car, Yvonne Ye bought two ice creams and handed one to Molly Yun, acting like a regular girl for the first time.
Molly Yun was surprised. "It’s freezing out—are you really eating this?"
