Eric Jiang remembered Charles Yin (CEO of the Yin Group) saying that the first time he went to the movies with Cecilia Gu, he was completely shocked!
Ahhh! Why can't I get this thought out of my head now that it's popped up?
Wasn't Yvonne Ye still looking at me with those sparkling eyes during lunch?
Why did one trip to the greenhouse make it seem like her entire orientation flipped?
Even though I know there are people in this world whose sexual orientation isn't always clear...
(Non-narrative, skipped for pacing)
It's like, 'I'm not into the same sex, but because the person I like is you, my orientation just... shifts.'
But if this kind of thing happens to me—honestly, it's terrifying, okay?
Molly Yun chuckled softly. "Let's go. We'll find out once we're inside—there must be at least three to five hundred people waiting to get in!"
Eric Jiang suddenly felt incredibly unlucky.
After finally meeting the woman he liked in his youth—Nora Yun—she gave up on him because of her family's mission.
Just when he was about to give up on love and resign himself to being alone forever, she reappeared under a different identity.
But the tragic part is...
The blind date his family set up for him now seems to be really interested in her too?
Thank goodness for the bodyguards—Mr. Bodyguard, you really worked hard! *sob*
Isn't this situation just ridiculously funny?
Luckily, their bodyguards—professional security hired by the family—couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward to help. They got tickets for Eric Jiang and the others from the online ticket machine. Clutching their tickets, the three headed to the Grand IMAX Theater's lounge, feeling like they were walking on clouds.
At least, Molly Yun doesn't know yet!
So I'll just nip this in the bud!
Eric Jiang didn't dare linger. He hurried to catch up and said, "Eating ice cream in this cold weather?"
Molly Yun smiled softly and replied, "Yvonne Ye said the theater would be really hot inside. Is it true?"
She really had never been to a movie theater before.
It used to be because of her health.
Now, she just didn't have the time.
Eric Jiang was stumped by the question. "Actually, it's my first time too."
Yvonne Ye held up her ice cream, looking a bit embarrassed. "It's my first time too... I just heard it gets really hot inside."
"Who said that?" Molly Yun and Eric Jiang asked in unison.
"The person selling ice cream told me," Yvonne Ye answered, looking confused. Then she suddenly realized, "Did she trick me?"
Molly Yun chuckled softly. "Let's go. We'll find out once we're inside."
The others all nodded in agreement.
The three of them turned and left the parking lot, heading toward the theater entrance.
As soon as they walked in, the three were almost shocked by what they saw.
There were so many people!
All three of them were a little stunned.
The three who had always watched movies at home were stepping into a public theater for the first time, and the crowd made them take several steps back in shock.
Can so many people really fit in here to watch a movie?
Luckily, their bodyguards couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward to help. They got tickets for Eric Jiang and the others from the online ticket machine. Clutching their tickets, the three headed to the Grand IMAX Theater's lounge, feeling like they were walking on clouds.
As soon as they entered the lounge, the three of them felt dizzy again.
There must've been three to five hundred people waiting to get in, right?
So many people watching a movie together... really?
Eric Jiang remembered Charles Yin saying that the first time he went to the movies with Cecilia Gu, he was completely shocked!
He thought there would be maybe a few dozen people watching together at most—that was already impressive enough!
But there were actually hundreds!
And now, look at this!
Grand IMAX Theater!
Hundreds of people!
Almost a thousand!
The three found their seats and rested, protected by their bodyguards.
Deep down, all three of them felt like crying.
They really weren't cut out for this kind of thing!
Nora Yun, even when she was alive, was always surrounded by crowds.
And Eric Jiang, as the eldest son of the Jiang family, was even more so.
Oh, and Yvonne Ye wasn't much different!
Now it's Molly Yun's first time in the Grand IMAX Theater, and she's just as lost!
Thank goodness for the bodyguards—big brother bodyguard, you really worked hard! *sob*
Finally, it was time to check tickets. Even if they were clueless, they knew to follow the crowd!
At the ticket checkpoint, they asked carefully about how the seats were arranged. Only then did they start to feel grounded.
Their seats were all right next to each other.
Eric Jiang sat in the middle, with Yvonne Ye and Molly Yun on either side.
Just as they were about to sit down, Yvonne Ye glanced at her ticket, then at Eric Jiang's, and quickly swapped stubs. "Let me switch seats with you."
Eric Jiang, ever the gentleman, agreed to switch seats with Yvonne Ye without a second thought.
But after he changed seats, he realized he was now one seat further away from Molly Yun...
By the time Eric Jiang realized, Yvonne Ye was already seated and chatting enthusiastically with Molly Yun.
Eric Jiang, Heir to the Jiang Family, felt like crying inside!
His goddess...
...was stolen by his blind date.
No matter what Yvonne Ye said to her, Molly Yun just smiled softly and didn't say much in return.
The audience gradually filed in, and everyone instinctively turned off their phones or set them to vibrate.
The three followed suit, silencing their phones and getting their 3D glasses ready for the movie.
Within about ten minutes, everyone was seated.
Molly Yun glanced back and couldn't help but gasp.
There were so many people!
A sea of heads—there must've been over five hundred people, right?
This Grand IMAX Theater really was huge!
Standing in front of the screen, you felt absolutely tiny.
Watching a movie with so many people—it actually felt pretty great.
The movie started, but there were several ads first.
Molly Yun watched the ads calmly while Yvonne Ye kept marveling, "Hey, which movie are we actually watching today? Are we supposed to watch all of these?"
Eric Jiang couldn't help but ask, "Didn't you go to the movies abroad?"
"I did, but my family wouldn't let me go out with classmates. I always watched movies at home from copies," Yvonne Ye replied.
