Princess Lily Hayes's Influence

"What happened to White Lily?" Lily Evans couldn't bear to look. Such a sweet girl—how did she end up like this?

Xi Niang sighed, "Those are tricks from brothels, used on girls who refuse to entertain guests."

Lily Evans looked at White Lily, her heart aching. She turned to White Pete, "Mr. White, since White Lily wasn’t born this way, maybe she can be cured. She might recover completely, you never know."

Hope surged in White Pete’s chest. He looked at Lily Evans, eyes shining, "Princess Consort, do you really mean that?"

Lily Evans replied, "Well, I’m no doctor, so I can’t say for sure. But I can ask Simon Yu to take a look. If there’s a way to cure her, then with the Lin Family’s skills, White Lily should be able to recover."

White Pete’s hope grew instantly. He knew Lily Evans was the daughter of the Medical Sage of the Lin Family. With their legendary medical skills, maybe they really could heal White Lily.

White Pete knelt again—he’d been especially emotional today. "Thank you, Princess Consort! Not only did you stand up to the Gu Family for us, but now you’re asking the Lin Family to help treat White Lily. I… I don’t know how to thank you enough!"

"Mr. White, no need to be so formal. If you hadn’t helped me with your skills these past years, I wouldn’t have gotten through some tough times," Lily Evans said sincerely.

Over the years, White Pete’s disguise techniques had truly helped Lily Evans out of many jams.

Lily Evans personally went to the Lin Family to find Simon Yu.

Simon Yu was busy mixing herbs in the pharmacy. Lately, the Medical Sage had been working on recreating the fake-death potion from the pulse records Little Five brought back, and Simon Yu had been assisting his master, barely leaving the manor these days.

Seeing Lily Evans arrive, Simon Yu grinned, "Princess Consort, what brings you here today?"

Lily Evans said, "Simon, there’s a patient at my manor. I’d like to trouble you to take a look."

Simon Yu didn’t dare refuse when Lily Evans came asking for help.

His master cherished his wife so much these days—afraid she’d melt if held too close, or break if handled too roughly. By extension, he doted on Lily Evans, his wife’s precious daughter.

The Princess Consort of Qin was the Medical Sage’s treasured pearl, the Lin Family’s eldest miss. Simon Yu was no fool; he knew the importance of choosing sides. He immediately said, "Alright, I’ll go with you right now. Next time you need me, just send someone to call me. No need to trouble yourself to come in person."

Simon Yu put down his work and followed Lily Evans to the Prince of Qin’s Manor.

Once inside the main hall, Lily Evans introduced him to everyone, "This is Simon Yu, the Medical Sage’s last disciple."

The Medical Sage was famous far and wide; Xi Niang and White Pete both knew his name and greeted Simon Yu with extra respect.

Xi Niang thought privately, No wonder she’s the Princess Consort of Qin! Anyone else would struggle to invite someone from the Lin Family, but all it takes is a word from her, and she brings in the Medical Sage’s top disciple. That’s real influence.

"Princess Consort, am I here to treat this young lady?" Simon Yu immediately noticed something was wrong with White Lily.

Su Li said, "Sharp eyes, Simon. Yes, she’s the patient. How confident are you that you can cure her?"

Simon Yu replied, "Let me examine her first, then I’ll be able to give Your Highness a definite answer."

With that, Simon Yu placed his medicine chest on the table, had White Lily brought over to sit, and began to check her pulse.
