Father and Daughter Reunited
The person was rescued. Xenia handed her over to Belle, then went into the Gu Family residence alone to find Lily Evans.
"Princess Consort, the person has been rescued," Xenia whispered in Lily Evans's ear.
Lily Evans nodded, signaling Xenia to leave first, then bid farewell to Gregory Gu, Grand Secretary.
Gregory Gu, Grand Secretary, seeing it was getting late and Lily Evans seemed to have other matters, looked reluctant to part: "Ah Li, if you have time, do visit often and keep this old man company."
"Principal, if I have time, I will surely come. Please take care of your health," Lily Evans replied.
Gregory Gu, Grand Secretary, was very reluctant to see Lily Evans leave. He personally escorted her out, all the way to the main gate of the Gu Family.
The Gu Family members saw their old master treating Princess Lily Hayes with such courtesy and respect, personally sending her off. They couldn't help but hold the legendary Princess Lily Hayes in even higher regard.
Princess Lily Hayes's entourage made a grand return, but this time there was an extra young girl in one of the carriages.
Back at the Prince of Qin's Manor, White Pete was waiting anxiously at the gate.
Lily Evans stepped out of the sedan and said to White Pete, "Don't worry, Mr. White. I've brought your daughter back."
White Pete's face overflowed with immense joy, his body trembling with excitement.
Behind him, Xenia led White Lily over. Seeing his daughter's bruised and battered face, White Pete's heart broke as he hugged her and sobbed uncontrollably.
But White Lily stood motionless. She couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't speak, and had no idea what was happening—she only sensed through touch that a man was holding her.
White Lily was terrified, afraid that it was a brothel customer coming to force her to entertain, and her body trembled uncontrollably.
Xenia watched from the side and gently persuaded, "Mr. White, let's go inside and talk. The child has just been rescued—she must be scared out of her wits."
White Pete wiped his tears, let go of his daughter, and nodded.
He was a man of the Jianghu, having roamed for years and seen much. He understood that White Lily now feared all men, and realized his embrace had probably terrified her.
For now, only being with other women could help White Lily feel safe.
"Let's all go inside and talk," said Princess Lily Hayes.
White Pete quickly nodded and followed the group inside. Xenia continued to hold White Lily's hand, and only when surrounded by women did White Lily stop trembling.
Once inside the hall, Princess Lily Hayes sat down. White Pete knelt at her feet, kowtowing forcefully. The servants tried several times to pull him away, but couldn't budge him.
With tears streaming down his face, White Pete cried, "Princess Consort, if not for you, I would never have found my daughter. I owe my late wife in heaven so much! Please, let me kowtow to you a few times, or I won't be able to rest!"
Princess Lily Hayes sighed, knowing how much pain White Pete bore. She knew if she stopped him, he would not be at peace, so she simply allowed him to kneel and bow.
"Mr. White, now that your daughter is found and you are reunited, this truly is a joyful occasion," said Princess Lily Hayes.
White Pete nodded, his heart full of joy. But looking at his blind, deaf, and mute daughter, a pang of sorrow welled up inside him.
White Lily was not born disabled. It was only after entering the brothel—refusing to listen or entertain customers—that she was made this way.
"My poor child—she can't see, can't hear, can't speak. Who knows how much she has suffered, how many sins have been inflicted on her, how much pain she carries in her heart." White Pete knelt before White Lily, holding back tears, unable to embrace her for fear of frightening her, his heart aching beyond words.
