Evan Chu was racking his brain over how to break through the rebound force, when suddenly the Sword Spirit's voice rang out in his mind: "Evan, give me the Soul Snow Fruit that the Heaven Ape gave you. I have a way to help you break this barrier."
Her voice was simply a timely rain from heaven. Evan's face lit up and he asked, "Sister Luna, you really have a way?"
Right after he asked, he felt his question was a bit pointless, but before he could add anything, Luna replied, "Don't trust me? Then forget it."
"I trust you, I trust you!" Evan hurriedly said, not daring to say more as he quickly took out the Bloodsoul Fruit from his storage ring.
Goldwing, not knowing the reason, saw Evan suddenly take out a fruit radiating a powerful medicinal aura. He felt the fruit was even more precious than the Purpleleaf Ganoderma Evan once gave Sterling Yates, and its grade was definitely higher. Unable to hold back, he asked:
"Boss, why did you take out this spiritual medicine? What kind of herb is it, and why does it have such a strong medicinal aura?"
"Of course I'm going to eat it. I think the rebound force just injured my internal organs—my chest still aches. If I don't treat it in time, it might leave hidden damage." Evan bluffed. If he said it was for the Sword Spirit, Goldwing would never believe him.
Goldwing was stunned for a moment, then said, "This medicine is way too precious. With your minor injuries, you really don't need something this good. I have some fine herbs here—take these instead!"
After speaking, Goldwing took out several herbs Evan didn't recognize. Each one glowed faintly, leaving Evan amazed.
"Evan, this guy really does have a lot of treasures. These herbs are all pretty good—grab them! There's even a stalk of Soul Snow Grass. What a surprise!" Luna said happily.
"Thanks, Old Gold!" Evan said, and the Bloodsoul Fruit in his hand instantly vanished. He knew Luna must have taken it, though he had no idea how. Unexpectedly, he also got Goldwing's stash of herbs—a real windfall.
After taking the various herbs from Goldwing, Evan casually swallowed one and put the rest into his storage ring.
He wasn't actually injured, so taking these spiritual medicines was a total waste—but at least it would help replenish his energy.
After swallowing the unknown herb, Evan immediately felt a wave of heat in his belly—a warm current appeared and started flowing through his meridians all on its own.
It was the first time Evan had ever experienced something like this. Unable to help himself, he focused inward to check his body's condition. He discovered the warm current was circulating through his meridians and eventually returned to his dantian.
Then, as the starforce outside his dantian slowly rotated around his Earth Star Pellet, he found it rather miraculous.
After withdrawing his spiritual sense, Evan saw Goldwing staring at him. "Boss, are you alright? Why did you freeze up for so long?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine!" Evan hurriedly replied. He hadn't realized he'd been lost in internal observation for so long.
"Evan, you and this old bird go elsewhere for a bit. I'll break open the barrier entrance for you. As soon as you hear my voice, come back right away—I can only hold it open for a few breaths at most," Luna said at this moment.
"Old Gold, let's check out the area ahead. I think there must be other entrances somewhere. The rebound force here is way too strong—we can't break through it," Evan said immediately, even though he felt a little awkward about the excuse.
"But we put in so much effort to find this place. I say we just forget it!" Goldwing clearly didn't agree with Evan's suggestion.
"Come on, I'll be straight with you—Shadow has a way to break this barrier, but he doesn't want us watching, so we need to leave." Evan had no choice but to put the blame on Shadow.
"Oh, so it's Big Brother Shadow's idea? Then let's go!" Goldwing said, turning and leaving right away.
At that moment, a flash of white light appeared on Evan's forehead, and a tiny silver sword flew out. Then a voice sounded: "You're still here—are you trying to see my body or what?"
Evan broke into a sweat and hurriedly turned away, while Luna also revealed her hazy form—except this time, her body looked much more real than before.
After walking dozens of meters, Evan couldn't help but glance back. That one look nearly broke his composure—the perfect body, completely unrestrained, was laid bare before his eyes.
Though still hazy, that kind of half-hidden beauty was even more mesmerizing, intoxicating. Luna looked just like a real fairy, making Evan unable to tear his eyes away—he even swallowed unconsciously.
"Evan, if you stare for one more second, I won't mind gouging out your eyes!" Luna's furious voice suddenly rang out in his mind.
Startled, Evan quickly turned and ran off. He knew if he angered her, Luna really might do something crazy.
After Evan left, Luna's hazy face showed a faint smile. "You'll see it all sooner or later—what's the rush?"
With a flick of her jade hand, Luna sent a blinding white light flying toward the spot Evan had attacked earlier. "Using the Bloodsoul Fruit to break this barrier is such a waste of its medicinal power. Good thing I have a stalk of Soul Snow Grass, or I'd be at a real loss," she muttered.
Evan, still shaken, walked over to Goldwing. "Old Gold, what are you thinking about?"
"Once we enter that interface, we might run into the Skyfiend Tiger. That guy's stronger than me, and we're not exactly friends. I'm worried I won't be able to protect you!" Goldwing said.
"Aren't you a flying beast? I can just ride on your back and fly away—what's there to be scared of?" Evan joked.
"Boss, his name is Skyfiend Tiger—what do you think? Of course he can fly, and he's even faster than me!" Goldwing replied helplessly.
Just then, Luna's voice echoed in Evan's mind: "Old Gold, hurry back—Shadow can't hold on much longer. He should have broken open the barrier entrance by now."
The two of them dashed back in a blur, but Luna had already vanished. Evan, however, could clearly feel a sharp pain between his brows.
A hole about a meter wide appeared before them. Through it, they could see what was happening on the other side—Evan saw the giant Spirit Beast tiger suspending Jenny Sima in midair, while the other students fought desperately against it.
"No—Jenny's in danger!" That was his first reaction. He rushed through the opening, determined to save Jenny Sima.
Goldwing followed right after. As soon as they passed through, the hole sealed shut, revealing a whole new environment—a valley, where not far away, many people were fighting a massive Spirit Beast...
