Yang Family Crisis

2/27/2026

Evan Yang enjoyed the atmosphere of the Immortal Realm, but as he entered the Demon‑Fiend Underpalace, he refrained from bringing out Ye Chen and the others. He worried that the difference in realms might cause unpredictable accidents, like forcing them to return to the Blue World.

After catching up with his companions in the Demon‑Fiend Underpalace, Evan decided to test whether they could safely stay in the Immortal Realm. Ye Chen volunteered to try first, so Evan brought her out and observed for a long time. Seeing nothing unusual happen, he gradually released Xin Jiang and the others.

"This is the Immortal Realm. From now on, you'll live here," Evan said. "But the Immortal Realm is much harsher than your previous world. You were considered experts before, but here, that's not enough. If any of you truly want to return to the Blue World, let me know and I'll take you back."

Xin Jiang and the others exchanged glances, but ultimately decided to stay in the Immortal Realm. Only by growing stronger in a cruel world could they achieve what they wanted—and besides, with Evan here, none of them wanted to go back.

Seeing their decisions, Evan planned to find powerful sects for them so they could develop quickly.

So Evan took them to planets with large populations. Knowing Ye Chen and the others' attributes, he intended to find the strongest sects corresponding to each attribute.

But before he could even gather information about the sects, Evan received shocking news: several Immortal Sovereigns had surrounded the Yang Family and demanded Evan return. If he didn't, they would kill one person every day.

When Evan received this message, his expression changed dramatically. He never expected anyone to target the Yang Family—let alone Immortal Sovereigns. In his mind, it was probably people from the Fire Temple; only their Immortal Sovereigns hated him so much.

Ye Chen noticed Evan's troubled expression and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Something happened at home. I need to go back and deal with it," Evan replied.

"In that case, let's return to your treasure for now. Once you've dealt with your own matters, you can help us find sects," Ye Chen said. The others nodded, agreeing that Evan should handle his own crisis first.

Evan knew how serious the situation was. Although his parents weren't in the Yang Family right now, many who had once helped him were. He didn't want to bring them trouble, so after settling Ye Chen and the others, he immediately left for the Yang Family.

News of the Yang Family being surrounded by several Immortal Sovereigns spread quickly. The Alliance Leader had already intervened, but it was no use—after all, the four Immortal Sovereigns were themselves members of the Immortal Realm Alliance, making the situation extremely complicated. All he could do was ensure that some key Yang Family members remained unharmed.

"Alliance Leader, what's going on? Why do those Immortal Sovereigns want to destroy my Yang Family?" Ming Yang demanded angrily.

"This matter likely relates to Evan Yang, but I can't say for certain. Still, Patriarch Yang, rest assured—as long as I'm here, the Yang Family won't be destroyed. But my abilities are limited; I can only protect some of you," said the Alliance Leader.

"What? Evan Yang? Who on earth wants him dead!" Ming Yang was shocked—four Immortal Sovereigns meant Evan had offended at least that many. He never imagined things would escalate to this degree.

"Some want his life, others want to use him for their own purposes," the Alliance Leader explained.

"Unbelievable! They're pushing us too far!" Ming Yang was furious, but with no Immortal Sovereign in the clan, there was little he could do.

The Wine Beggar, Lydia Yang, and Evan's parents were all present. Hearing that Evan was the cause, Evan's father snorted coldly, "That troublemaker again!"

"Big brother, what do you mean by that?" asked the Wine Beggar.

"I don't mean anything by it, but you know full well what four Immortal Sovereigns imply. If things go wrong, the Yang Family could be removed from the Four Heaven‑Battling Clans," Evan's father said.

"The Alliance Leader just said that as long as he's here, he can guarantee the Yang Family's safety," replied the Wine Beggar.

"But the Alliance Leader can only protect a handful of us. What about the rest of the Yang Family? Are they all supposed to die? How is that any different from the Yang Family being destroyed?" Evan's father retorted.

The Wine Beggar protested, "If you live outside, you offend people, or others envy what you have—it's normal. What's there to be afraid of?"

"That's easy for you to say. All these years, why haven't Immortal Sovereigns come after the Yang Family before?" Evan's father snorted coldly.

Just as the Wine Beggar was about to speak, Ming Yang said, "Enough, all of you. I'll handle this myself."

"Father, what are your plans?" asked the Wine Beggar.

"Scatter the Yang Family members. Tell them to leave this place," Ming Yang ordered.

"What? That would be like officially announcing the Yang Family's withdrawal from the Four Heaven‑Battling Clans. How could we still defend our territory then?" Evan's father exclaimed in shock.

The Wine Beggar and the others frowned. This was no trivial matter—if the Yang Family withdrew, their territory would be left empty, which could spell disaster for the Immortal Realm. Not wanting to see that happen, the Alliance Leader said, "Find somewhere to hide for now. I'll go talk to them."

Ming Yang nodded and took them to the Yang Family's star domain. Meanwhile, the Alliance Leader arrived at a location in the Yang Family's star system and called out into the void, "The four of you, come out."

Four Immortal Sovereigns appeared—three were searching for Sovereign Frost, and the fourth was the Lynn Immortal Sovereign. It was Lynn Immortal Sovereign who suggested coming here, believing Evan Yang would definitely return.

"Alliance Leader, there's nothing left to discuss. Since we've decided Evan Yang must appear, this is the most direct way," Lynn Immortal Sovereign said, relying on the support of the other Sovereigns.

"Lynn Immortal Sovereign, and Sovereign Ruthless, do you realize that if the Yang Family withdraws from the stage, this entire region will face chaos? One of the Immortal Realm's four directions will lose its balance, and the Immortal Realm will be thrown into turmoil," the Alliance Leader warned.

"Alliance Leader, stop trying to scare us. If the Yang Family is destroyed, we'll just raise another clan to defend this region," Lynn Immortal Sovereign replied.

"Lynn Immortal Sovereign, as one of the Four Heaven‑Battling Clans, you should know how difficult it is to nurture a clan—especially one as powerful as the Yang Family," the Alliance Leader said.

Lynn Immortal Sovereign had no interest in such arguments. "Don't bother. I'm not interested. Either Evan Yang comes out, or we keep killing people every day," he said.

"You're truly stubborn!" the Alliance Leader said angrily.

"Alliance Leader, you're being unfair. Why only protect Evan Yang?" Sovereign Ruthless interjected. She knew the Alliance Leader's cultivation— even if they joined forces, they might not win, so she preferred to argue logically rather than fight.

The Alliance Leader wasn't eager to fight these people—after all, they were pillars of the Immortal Realm. Losing even one Immortal Sovereign would be a permanent loss, and it would greatly impact the coming war between the Immortal Realm and the Devil Realm.

"I'm not being unfair. But you must have a reason—why are you targeting Evan Yang?" asked the Alliance Leader.

"Isn't it obvious? We want him to reveal Sovereign Frost's whereabouts," said Sovereign Ruthless.

"So you'd destroy the Yang Family just for that?" the Alliance Leader frowned.

"That's right. That's exactly why. I hope the Alliance Leader can help us," said Sovereign Ruthless.

"Impossible. No matter what, I must protect the Yang Family today. If you insist, I'll have to fight you," said the Alliance Leader.

The four Immortal Sovereigns exchanged glances, realizing the Alliance Leader meant business. They could either fight or retreat.

But the lure of the Heaven‑Cold Seed was too great. They didn't want Sovereign Frost to disappear with it, so Sovereign Ruthless said, "We've always heard the Alliance Leader is powerful. Today, let's see for ourselves!"

The Alliance Leader sighed. "Are you really determined to do this?"

"That's right. Let's begin!" Sovereign Ruthless was ready to face off against the Alliance Leader, and the other Immortal Sovereigns were prepared as well. Whether they won or lost, their relationship with the Alliance would be ruined. With four fewer Immortal Sovereigns, the coming war between the Immortal Realm and the Devil Realm would become even more dire—something the Alliance Leader dreaded.

But the Alliance Leader had no choice. The four Immortal Sovereigns had chosen their path, so he could only press forward—his goal was to protect the Yang Family and Evan Yang.

So from the start, the four Immortal Sovereigns fought with all their strength—they knew the Alliance Leader was stronger than ordinary Immortal Sovereigns. In fact, Immortal Sovereigns are divided into three stages: Pseudo Sovereign, Void Sovereign, and finally True Sovereign.

Each stage is further divided into four minor realms: early, middle, late, and peak.

The Lynn Immortal Sovereign and the other three had all reached the early Void Sovereign stage, but the Alliance Leader had already attained the peak of the Void Sovereign stage—a small difference, but a huge gap in strength.

Soon, the four Immortal Sovereigns realized they were no match for the Alliance Leader. If he hadn't held back, they would have been seriously injured.

"Alliance Leader, you're truly formidable. I admit defeat. But this won't stop us from searching for Evan Yang. We'll leave for now, but we're also leaving the Immortal Realm Alliance. From now on, the Alliance and all its affairs are none of our concern. Go find Evan Yang yourself," Sovereign Ruthless snorted coldly.

"The Devil Realm is united, but our Immortal Realm is plagued with infighting. Don't you realize that if this continues, the Immortal Realm will eventually be destroyed?" said the Alliance Leader.

"That's not our concern. We just want to become stronger!" Sovereign Ruthless answered.

"You cold‑blooded people! There are so many in the Immortal Realm—are you just going to abandon them?" the Alliance Leader said angrily after hearing Sovereign Ruthless's words.

"Spare me your grand speeches, Alliance Leader. Just because you let us go today doesn't mean we'll thank you. And as for Evan Yang, we'll keep hunting him!" Sovereign Ruthless snorted coldly.
