Demonheart Flame

Titus Skyflood, the imposing master of Demon Mountain, was mocked by Evan Yang. He snorted coldly, "Kid, don’t get cocky. Even so, you won’t escape today. I want to see which is stronger—your artifact or the Demonblade."

"It’s been so long, and neither side has gained the upper hand. You might as well give up," Evan Yang said with a smile.

Annoyed, Titus Skyflood snorted, "Don’t be so arrogant."

At this moment, Evan Yang was inside his artifact, letting them throw the pen toward the Demonblade. But the Demonblade, enraged, couldn’t cut through the pen at all.

After more than half a day, Titus Skyflood retrieved Evan Yang’s pen and sealed it inside the artifact. He snorted coldly, "This won’t work. I refuse to believe my other method won’t succeed."

Evan Yang smiled and asked, "I wonder what other methods Lord Titus Skyflood has?"

"Of course I have another way—the Demonheart Flame. Just wait. Even Demon Sovereigns fear to approach that place. I don’t believe you can survive inside," Titus Skyflood snorted coldly.

After speaking, Titus Skyflood and the other Demon Sovereigns vanished. The Demonblade, seeing everyone leave, quieted down as if waiting for something.

Evan Yang was puzzled—what exactly was the Demonheart Flame? Was it just an extremely powerful fire? After a while, Titus Skyflood brought everyone into the void, where a vortex occasionally spewed flames.

"Titus Skyflood, are you really decided?" Demoncloud asked.

“Alright, let’s let the Void-Locking Cup perish with him,” Titus Skyflood said. He knew that to keep the pen inside the flames, he had to use the Void-Locking Cup to lock the space and send both artifacts in together. The likely outcome was that both would be burned away.

Seeing Titus Skyflood about to throw in the Void-Locking Cup, they felt it was a pity—but if it meant destroying Evan Yang, they were satisfied.

Meanwhile, inside the pen, Evan Yang was communicating with the Pen’s Spirit.

“I’m afraid I’ll die here,” said the Pen’s Spirit.

“We haven’t entered yet. Why are you so pessimistic?” Evan Yang asked.

“You don’t understand. Artifacts like us are forged against the heavens, but we aren’t invincible. There are a few flames that can melt us, and the innermost layer of the Demonheart Flame is our nemesis—it can burn us away without a trace,” explained the Pen’s Spirit.

Hearing this, Evan Yang frowned and asked, “Is this flame really that strong?”

“Extremely strong,” replied the Pen’s Spirit.

“Do you know about the Sacred Flame?” Evan Yang asked.

“Sacred Flame? Isn’t that the fire used by fire-element gods? When fully developed, the Sacred Flame is even more terrifying than the Demonheart Flame, because it can absorb other flame energies—even the Demonheart Flame itself,” answered the Pen’s Spirit.
