Saint King Wood and the others guarded Evil King Scorch, preventing his escape. Gavin White (White Moon) fell back into worry, and Huan Wuqin comforted her, saying, "Don’t worry—he’ll be fine."
"The Twin-Spine Evil Kings aren’t like the others. If they take him away, it’ll be a huge threat," Gavin said worriedly.
Huan Wuqin didn’t know what to do.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang was transported to another space—pitch black, like a void. In this darkness, Evan spotted someone.
That person was none other than Saint King Duran. Evan quickly approached him and saw that his eyes were closed, not sure what he was doing.
"Don’t come any closer," Saint King Duran’s voice rang out.
Evan had intended to reach out and touch Saint King Duran, but immediately stopped, looking at him curiously. "What’s going on?" he asked.
"That Twin-Spine Evil King used their powers to create a simulated space. This space overlaps with Severed Spirit Sky above, meaning you’re both in Severed Spirit Sky and in the space they made. You’re lucky—not trapped in a double-space like they sometimes use," Saint King Duran explained.
"Double-space?" Evan asked, puzzled.
"Yes, that’s right—double-space. My soul is here, but my consciousness is in another space, at the same position," Saint King Duran said.
