You Don’t Have Enough Weight
The three of them were heading back together when Luna Lian got stopped right at her courtyard gate by Princess Quinn Xiao. Quinn declared, "Luna Lian, swap residences with me!"
Luna blinked, confused. "Why do you want to swap?"
"Just do it!" Quinn tossed her head arrogantly. "When this princess gives an order, you don't get to ask why!"
Luna really didn't want to be apart from her brother and sister, so she said politely, "Sorry, Your Highness, I want to stay close to my sister. It's easier for us to study together that way—"
"Luna Lian! I'm not asking—I'm ordering you!" Quinn snapped. "You've got half an hour to move to Residence Seventy-Eight!"
"Princess!" Lucia Lu walked over just in time to hear Quinn giving Luna an ultimatum.
"Lucia Lu," Quinn called out. "I want to live next to my cousin, so Luna Lian should swap with me. That shouldn't be a problem, right?"
"Sorry," Lucia replied coolly. "She doesn't want to swap."
Quinn arched her brow. "Lucia Lu, do you think this is your Lumina Realm? This is Drake Abyss! I make the rules here! If I say swap, you swap!"
Lucia met her gaze, calm and unyielding. "Then please ask His Majesty the Celestial Emperor. We'll follow his orders."
Quinn scowled. "For something this trivial, why would I bother my father, the Emperor?"
Lucia gave a little smile. "I think you missed my point. If you want to throw your weight around, you just don't have enough weight."
"You..." Quinn's eyes went wide with rage. "Lucia Lu, just you wait! Refusing a toast only to drink a penalty!"
She spun on her heel and stormed off.
Lucia led Luna inside.
"Sis, what do you think she's planning?" Luna asked, worry in her voice.
"Who cares? This is a military camp," Lucia said. "His Majesty made it clear—no matter whose daughter you are, you follow the Divine Guard Code. I don't believe she'd dare send someone to beat us up."
Just as she finished speaking, Quinn's angry voice rang out from outside: "Lucia Lu! Get out here!"
"That was fast," Lucia muttered, heading out to see Quinn flanked by a man in full Divine General armor and her cousin Darren Xuan.
"Third Brother! She's the one who bullied me and insulted me!" Quinn pointed at Lucia.
The Divine General frowned, sizing up Lucia and Luna. "So you're the one who said my sister, Princess Quinn Xiao of Drake Abyss, doesn't have enough weight?"
"Yes, I said it," Lucia replied calmly.
"And with me here, is there enough weight now?"
Lucia looked him over. "I heard the eldest and second princes of Drake Abyss are both stationed elsewhere, so only the third prince is here in the Divine Guard Barracks. You must be Prince Asher Xiao?"
"That's my Third Brother!" Quinn said proudly.
"Third Highness, it's simple," Lucia said. "The princess wants to swap with my sister, but my sister doesn't want to. Even with you here, her answer is still no. If you want her out, there are only two ways."
First, you can ask His Majesty the Celestial Emperor to order my sister to move. He's our commanding officer, and we'll obey his commands.
Second, you can toss my sister's things out and take the residence by force.
Prince Asher Xiao let out a cold laugh, his face darkening. "So this is how High God Quentin Lian teaches his daughters?"
"That's right! That's exactly how our father taught us!" Suddenly, Ryan Lu's icy voice cut in from the side. "Before we came to Drake Abyss, he said: Once you're Palace Guards, be brave, fearless, and obey the law. Tell me, Third Highness, is that wrong?"
