Why Are You Here Again

1/4/2026

Bianca Whitefan stared at Soren Lann for a long moment and said, "You really know how to win people over when you get the chance."

Soren Lann just smiled faintly, "I’m ashamed!"

Bianca Whitefan turned to the gods, her demonic aura swelling. "Fine, I’ll give your new Divine Lord some respect—spare your lives! But let me make this official: from now on, anyone who so much as touches a single hair on Lucy Luan’s head, just try it and see!"

The gods fell silent, frozen with fear.

Bianca Whitefan gave a cold, arrogant smile and slowly faded away.

Many had barely dared to breathe. Only once Bianca Whitefan left did they remember to exhale, hearts pounding, legs weak, drenched in cold sweat.

Soren Lann spoke up, "Actually, Clan Chief Yu and Clan Chief Huai made a good point! The laws of the Three Divine Realms differ, but one rule is the same: guilt doesn’t extend to innocent relatives. His Majesty the Celestial Emperor, Divine Lord Tanya Quinn, and I all agree—no matter what Bianca Whitefan has done, Lucy Luan herself is blameless!"

No one said a word.

I hope you’ll all stop bringing this up. She’s not the daughter of High God Quentin Lian, so this becomes a Lu family matter—everyone else can go home, alright?

"So what about our clan chief and High God Xiao? How do we account for them?" asked someone from the Kee clan.

Soren Lann shot back, “Do I really need to teach you? If you want revenge, find the one who killed your chief. If you can’t, don’t take it out on the innocent!”

The Kee clansmen still wanted to argue, but Soren Lann added, “Of course, if you really think Lucy Luan should pay for this... I won’t stop you!”

Soren Lann pulled Lucy to his side. “She’s right here, and she’ll always be the daughter of High God Quentin Lian, my senior martial sister, and my mother’s sworn foster daughter. Anyone who wants to try killing her—go ahead. After Bianca Whitefan’s threat, I’m curious what will happen if anyone dares to hurt her.”

The Kee clansmen glanced at Lucy, then at Soren, but none had the nerve to attack. Grumbling, they carried off their dead and left with their troops.

The Huai Clan Chief, who had fainted earlier, conveniently "came to" and quietly left.

Soon, the gods dispersed.

Inside the Dragon-Coiling Heavenly Gang Grand Array, Bianca Whitefan slowly opened her eyes.

Suddenly, the outer barrier gave a loud hum.

The Palace Guard soldiers on duty heard it.

They tensed up, ready for trouble.

But after a long wait, nothing happened.

"What was that sound just now?"

"No idea!"

"Let’s report it to High God Quentin Lian!"

Inside the barrier,

Bianca Whitefan held a blank talisman paper, slowly tracing lines across it with her forefinger.

With every movement, divine power rippled through her body...

In Peach Blossom Haven, Lucy Luan clung to High Goddess Vivian Lu, choking out, "Mother Goddess, I’m sorry."

“Silly child, what do you have to apologize for?” Vivian Lu said tearfully. “None of this is your fault...”

Lucy said, “Thank you, Father God, Mother Goddess, thank you for loving me so much.”

She turned to Luna Lian, “Luna... the person I most owe an apology to is you...”

“Sis! Actually... just now—”

“I know,” Lucy said. “You were just worried about me.”

“Sis...” Luna gripped her hand. “Honestly, I don’t feel wronged at all. Really! Having you with me, protecting me, I think having a sister like you is the happiest thing in the world. Let’s stay just like before, okay?”

Lucy nodded.

Ryan Lu stood nearby, grinning foolishly.

Lucy shot him a look and swatted him.

Then the three siblings laughed together.

Even Sean Shaw, who rarely smiled, let the corner of his mouth curve up.

His gaze seemed glued to Lucy.

Ethan Lu shot him a look. “Fifth Highness, what are you doing here again?”
