No Telepathic Understanding
Huh? General Victor Zheng felt that something was off.
General Victor Zheng, shouldn't you have him sign it now?" asked Azure Phoenix.
Bianca Whitefan was about to collapse.
General Victor Zheng looked at Leo Miles and asked, "Leo Miles, is everything you've confessed today true?"
"It's true."
You didn't say a word before, so why suddenly change your testimony now? Is it really, as Miss Chloe Zhu said, because you swore before the Dragon God? Not for any other reason? General Victor Zheng suspected he was being coerced.
So far, all of Leo Miles' answers have been completely truthful.
For this question, if he answered truthfully, he would say, "No."
However, Leo Miles must answer "Yes." Only then can his change of testimony be accepted today.
At that moment, Bianca Whitefan suddenly closed her eyes and slowly uttered a syllable: "Yes."
Her lips moved, but no sound came out.
The voice came from Leo Miles' mouth: "Yes..."
This was an advanced control technique.
General Victor Zheng had nothing to say, and instructed the scribe to bring the confession for Leo Miles to sign.
Leo Miles took the brush and signed his name, then prepared to leave his fingerprint.
Unexpectedly, just then, a voice suddenly rang out from the doorway: "Wait!"
General Victor Zheng turned to see who it was, quickly stood up, and respectfully called out: "General Shang."
General Shang was Sophie Shang.
Azure Phoenix thought to herself that this was bad.
Sure enough, she looked at Bianca Whitefan, frowned, and asked, "Why are you here?"
Bianca Whitefan had to withdraw her power, looked at Sophie Shang, and said, "I'm here with Azure Phoenix."
"What are you here for?"
"Oh, General Shang, here’s what happened." General Victor Zheng explained Leo Miles’ case. "He’s confessed, and we’re about to have him sign."
Sophie Shang wore a fitted battle robe, her figure tall and imposing. She strode up to Bianca Whitefan and suddenly grabbed her hand.
Bianca Whitefan’s expression changed dramatically, and she had already pulled out a talisman from her palm.
"What’s this?" Sophie Shang held up the talisman in front of her eyes.
"Let’s talk about this outside." Bianca Whitefan signaled her with her eyes.
Apparently, she and Sophie Shang didn’t have any telepathic connection. Sophie didn’t go out with her, but instead turned to Leo Miles and asked, "Are you Leo Miles?"
Freed from the control talisman, Leo Miles looked at them in confusion and said, "Yes, I’m Leo Miles."
"Take a look at this confession. Are you still going to sign it?" Sophie Shang brought the confession over and held it in front of Leo Miles.
Leo Miles stared at the document, his face changing dramatically. "No! This isn't true! This is a forged confession—I won't sign it!"
Sophie Shang turned, frowned at Bianca Whitefan, and said to General Victor Zheng, "General Zheng, remove Jason Zhuo from military service. He is never to be reinstated!"
General Victor Zheng was completely confused, but as a soldier, obedience to orders was paramount. He didn’t dare disobey General Shang and lowered his head, "Yes!"
"No! Wait!" Azure Phoenix cried. "General Shang, why are you removing my brother from the military without knowing the full story?"
"You know exactly what you did, do I really need to spell it out?" Sophie Shang asked coldly.
Azure Phoenix bit her lip and said, "We only forced him to confess because we had no choice. It might have been against the rules, but everything Leo Miles said was true! Shouldn’t we investigate based on his clues before punishing anyone?"
Sophie Shang looked at her and said, "Miss Chloe Zhu, I think you misunderstood! Jason Zhuo is being dismissed not because of the supply case, but because he brought you here and broke the rules."
Azure Phoenix quickly explained, "My brother didn’t know what we were up to! He was completely in the dark!"
Sophie Shang said sternly, "That’s military law! Whether he knew or not, he brought you in. General Victor Zheng, take Jason Zhuo away. Immediately! Right now!"
