Truth Revealed

He sat down at the designated spot, his face expressionless and his eyes filled with suspicion and caution as he glanced at them.

"This is Leo Miles. Ask him whatever you need," said General Victor Zheng.

The one asking the questions was Bianca Whitefan.

She stared into Leo Miles' eyes and asked, "Leo Miles, do you recognize me?"

Leo Miles shook his head. "No, I don't."

"You don't? Try thinking a little harder!" Bianca Whitefan's tone was gentle and soothing, making people feel relaxed just listening to her.

And his thoughts seemed to follow her words.

Leo Miles stared at her for a while, his gaze becoming a bit vacant. "I really don't know you," he said.

Judging by his expression, he was probably under Bianca Whitefan's control.

Bianca Whitefan had told her before that this kind of control was basically hypnosis. Whatever you ask, he'll answer. Whatever you tell him to do, he'll do.

Bianca Whitefan kept both hands tucked inside her wide sleeves, looking calm and composed—the very image of a master Rune Artist. She continued, "Do you recognize her?"

Bianca Whitefan pointed at Grace.

Leo Miles looked at Grace and said, "Yes, she's Chloe Zhu."

He recognized her, which didn’t surprise Grace.

After all, she used to appear often at the Emperor and Empress’s side.

Last time, she was even named Eastern Palace Empress. It’s no wonder the city’s stationed officers recognize her.

"She once served as Eastern Palace Empress." Bianca Whitefan’s breath grew uneven, likely from spiritual exhaustion. "Now, the Eastern Palace Empress will ask you a few questions. You must answer truthfully."

With that, she looked at Grace, signaling her to take over.

Time was short, so Grace asked directly, "Leo Miles, who ordered you to frame Jason Zhuo?"

Leo Miles’ eyes struggled for a moment, but as Bianca Whitefan’s aura grew stronger beside him, he answered, "It was Kevin Zhuo."

As soon as he said this, General Victor Zheng's jaw dropped in astonishment as he stared at Leo Miles.

"You didn't have the key, so how did you get access to the military supplies?"

"Kevin Zhuo bribed Quentin Wang, who was in charge of inventory. In reality, the boxes put into the warehouse were all empty. Then I took the real supplies and sold them, framing Jason Zhuo for it."

"Why would you throw away your future to help Kevin Zhuo frame Jason Zhuo?"

Grace only asked the key questions.

That way, when he comes to his senses, there will be new witnesses and evidence.

"He killed Ryan Chao, and I want revenge!" Leo Miles said, full of hatred.

"Who is Ryan Chao? What's your relationship with him? Why do you want revenge for him?"

"He... he was the person I loved most! Jason Zhuo killed him, and I'm in so much pain. I want to drag Jason Zhuo down with me!"

"Oh..." Grace glanced at General Victor Zheng, who was still dumbstruck, holding back her laughter as she continued, "Do you know why Kevin Zhuo wanted to frame Jason Zhuo? They're brothers, after all!"

"What else? It's all about the inheritance! Jason Zhuo may not be a biological son, but he holds the title of legitimate eldest son. Plus, in the military, Jason Zhuo always outshines Kevin Zhuo. Kevin's been wanting to get rid of him for a while now."

"Oh, I see!" Grace glanced discreetly at Bianca Whitefan, noticing the sweat on her forehead.

So Grace stopped questioning him and turned to General Victor Zheng. "General Zheng, you heard all that, right? You arrested the wrong person!"

General Victor Zheng looked at Grace with amazement. "Why did he confess as soon as he saw you?"

"That's because I knew him before," Grace replied. "And he once swore before the Dragon God that, no matter what, he'd never lie to me in this life!"
