Two New Lovers
Alexander Hayes looked down at Marquis Valor and Madam Lou, both unconscious on the ground, his face full of disappointment.
Before coming here, Alexander already knew about their scheme, but he still clung to a shred of hope. Maybe, just maybe, his father and mother would pull back at the last moment.
But who would have thought—they could disappoint a person so thoroughly.
"What does Your Highness plan to do with them?" Lily Evans asked.
Alexander shook his head in despair. "I—I have no parents like these. I'll leave everything to you, my dear wife."
With that, Alexander turned and walked out of the courtyard, his anguish plain to see.
Lily sighed. Alexander was clearly upset, so he was letting her decide what to do.
But these two were Alexander's biological parents. Lily couldn't just kill them, nor could she have them beaten.
So, what was she supposed to do?
"Then... it's time to give them a taste of their own medicine!" Lily's eyes sparkled as she whispered a plan to Lola.
Lola nodded, her eyes bright with mischief. "Leave it to me, Madam!"
She quickly summoned the Blossom Sisters, who were waiting outside with a bed warmer and a tray of herbal tea.
"Blossom Sisters, you two know what to do," Lola said, handing them the items.
The sisters giggled and entered the room, ready to play their part.
Madam Lou and Marquis Valor slowly came to, only to see two charming young ladies fussing over them.
Madam Lou tried to sit up, her face full of suspicion. "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
The Blossom Sisters smiled sweetly. "We're here to take care of you, Madam. Marquis Valor, please drink this tea—it's good for your nerves."
Marquis Valor frowned, but the sisters were so persistent that he finally took the cup.
Madam Lou glared at the sisters, but the aroma of the tea was strangely soothing.
Lily Evans watched from the doorway, arms crossed, a sly smile on her lips.
She didn't need to say a word. The message was clear: "You reap what you sow."
Marquis Valor and Madam Lou exchanged uneasy glances, suddenly feeling the tables had turned.
The Blossom Sisters continued their act, fussing over the two until they were too flustered to protest.
Lily Evans turned to Lola. "Let's leave them to their fate. Come, we've got business to discuss."
As they walked away, laughter echoed through Lily's Courtyard, the start of a new chapter for Evans Manor.
