Supreme Emperor’s Estate 4

1/4/2026

She was definitely Jenny's older cousin, Xena Xiao—the Third Prince Xiao's daughter. Jenny had mentioned her before.

There was also an older middle-aged couple, who must be the Third Prince Xiao and his wife.

Though both were well into middle age, the man was handsome and the woman beautiful—they were so well-preserved it was honestly a treat for the eyes.

There was also a teenage boy, about seventeen or eighteen, curled up on the sofa with his phone, playing games with Eric Lan and Samson Zhang.

After everyone introduced themselves, Lily Bai realized the boy was also one of the Third Prince's kids.

Their family had three children in total.

The eldest was Kieran Xiao, the second was Xena Xiao, and the one playing games was the youngest—Shawn Xiao.

Angel An looked at Lily Bai like she wanted to spit fire.

But this was the Supreme Emperor’s Estate.

With the Supreme Emperor here, she obviously didn’t dare make a scene and could only stew in silence.

Later, once the elders had left and only the younger crowd was around, Angel An finally exploded.

“Lily Bai, where’s your husband Evan Lan? Haven’t seen him anywhere.” Angel An asked, pretending it was casual.

Lily replied, “He’s away on a business trip.”

Angel raised an eyebrow. “Funny, ever since you had the baby, he hasn’t shown up once. Don’t tell me... he’s actually cheating on you?”

Lily frowned, about to retort, but Jenny Shaw cut in coldly: “Angel An! I never invited you to my birthday. Since you insisted on coming, show some respect to my friends!”

Angel An snapped, biting her lip. “Who cares about your birthday? I’m here to see my cousin!”

“If you don’t care, then get lost!”

Angel An was furious and blurted out, “This is the Supreme Emperor’s Estate—what right do you have to tell me to leave? Everyone knows your dad’s a bastard! You really think you’re a princess?”

“Angel An!” Kieran Xiao’s voice was heavy with authority. “What are you saying? Apologize to Jenny and her friends right now!”

“How am I wrong, Kieran?” Angel An said, looking all aggrieved. “Her dad really is—”

"Shut up!" shouted Shawn Xiao, who had been gaming this whole time. "Xiao family business is none of your concern!"

"Shawn Xiao!" Angel An stomped her foot, face twisted in outrage, and turned to run out.

"Angel!" Xena Xiao called, shot her brother a glare, and hurried after her.

Shawn Xiao rolled his eyes. "She’s getting more and more out of line! Heard she faked a pregnancy in Haicheng just to chase a guy—crashed someone’s wedding and everything! And when she got exposed, they kicked her out and found it was just a pillow!"

"Enough, let’s not pile on," said Kieran Xiao.

"Like I care about her," Shawn muttered, going right back to his game.

Lily Bai touched her nose awkwardly.

She probably shouldn’t have come today.

It felt like she’d just kicked a hornet’s nest.

Kieran Xiao turned to Jenny Shaw and said, "Jenny, don’t take it to heart. You know she never thinks before she speaks."

Jenny was always polite to her big brother and nodded, "I won’t."

Kieran Xiao looked at Lily Bai and explained, "Angel An’s parents divorced when she was young, nobody really raised her, and she’s wild and impossible to manage. We all have headaches over her! Please don’t take it personally."

This guy really has an amazing personality!

He’s unfailingly polite to everyone, with a gentle, springtime smile that just makes you like him.

Lily Bai gave him a small, grateful smile.

"Jenny’s never had many friends. Seeing her make a new one, as her big brother, I’m genuinely happy for her."
