Supreme Emperor’s Estate

Lily Bai stared at him in surprise.

This kid... He told me he was here to visit his teacher's wife.

And just happened to drop by to see me.

But honestly, he must've come to celebrate Jenny's birthday, right? He even brought a gift...

Jenny took it, opened the box, and saw that it was a figurine exactly like the one from earlier.

"Huh? Where did you get this?" Eric Lan was dumbfounded.

"I made it myself," Samson Zhang stepped forward and pressed a button. The figurine started moving, singing and dancing, and could even hold smart conversations with Jenny—so lively and cute.

It turned out this wasn't just a figurine, but a little robot designed after Jenny's favorite anime character.

Jenny gave a knowing smile, her eyes shining even brighter than before.

Eric Lan was so mad his teeth hurt: "You—this—is—plagiarism! You stole my idea!"

Samson Zhang ignored him and sincerely said, "Happy birthday!"

"Thank you." Jenny quietly put away all her gifts, then said to Lily Bai, "Senior, it's just a family dinner, and that formal dress looks uncomfortable. Come to my room and change into something else."

Lily Bai nodded and followed her into the room.

The President's estate was built with striking elegance and grandeur.

But inside, the furnishings were much simpler than Lily Bai had expected.

Princess Jenny's room was actually less luxurious than Lily's own room at White Manor.

While Jenny searched her wardrobe for something suitable, Lily's gaze was drawn to a photo on the nightstand.

It was a photo of a family of three.

A father, a mother, and their daughter.

The daughter was clearly Princess Jenny.

Her smile was wide, her little face as bright as a sunflower.

It's hard to imagine that Princess Jenny, always so cool and mysterious, was once this innocent and cheerful...

The two people behind her must've been her parents.

Lily Bai remembered Eric Lan once telling her about Jenny's parents' fate, and suddenly felt this kid was really lonely and pitiful...

"Those are my parents," Jenny's voice sounded beside her.

Lily Bai turned to look at her. Jenny had already picked out a pale yellow tracksuit for her.

"Sorry, that's my fault—I should've told you. I made you both dress up so formally," Jenny said.

"It wasn't a mistake, it was on purpose," Lily Bai replied. "You were afraid if you said it was a family dinner, I wouldn't come."

Jenny smiled at her, "Nothing gets past you, Senior."

"So are you still not going to tell me why you keep trying to contact Evan?"

Jenny suddenly put on a slightly spoiled tone: "It's my birthday today."

"Yeah, it is your birthday! What's up?"

"Just be nice to me, okay? Stop interrogating me like a criminal!"

Lily Bai sighed, took the clothes, and went to the dressing room to change.

She and Jenny were about the same height.

Wearing Jenny's clothes felt completely natural. She swapped out the tight dress and heels for something much more comfortable.

Then the two of them went downstairs together.

On the stairs, Lily Bai noticed that the living room was suddenly full of people.

The most eye-catching was Jenny's older cousin: Kieran Xiao.

He was in a wheelchair, which made him stand out even more.

Next was Angel An.

She was dressed in bold red, looking absolutely stunning.

She actually showed up too!

She was sitting close to another girl with big wavy hair and a strong aura—the two of them seemed pretty close.

Lily Bai almost immediately guessed who the wavy-haired girl was.
