Racing Madly to the Peak Realm

1/5/2026

That deafening boom was straight-up earth-shattering. The entire Mystic Tier of the tomb went absolutely wild—graves that must've taken ages to build got blasted clean open in an instant, every treasure inside spilled out all at once. But Ryan Ling couldn't care less about this loot; for the tomb-raiders, though, it was the jackpot of a lifetime!

The only thing Ryan was even remotely interested in were those Primordial Immortal corpses. Absorbing them was a massive power-up, especially the few that exploded at the end—those bodies had strength hitting late-stage Primordial Immortal, and one was practically peak-level. For Ryan, that was premium-grade nourishment!

Without a second thought, Ryan sucked all that corpse essence straight into his body. Normally, he'd hold back his power growth, but letting loose now meant his strength could skyrocket to insane levels. But this was a special situation—the tomb’s danger level was way beyond his expectations, so he had to seize the chance to level up. The stronger, the better; who knew what other monsters or evil spirits were lurking in here?

Plus, Ryan had just cleaned house—he’d pocketed nearly a hundred Primordial Immortal corpses, so now was the perfect time to strike while the iron was hot and absorb everything. Miss this fresh boost and it’d be a total waste!

"Refine!" Ryan didn’t hesitate for a second—he started frantically refining all that essence inside him. Instantly, his body felt like a raging furnace, burning up with pure power.

Da Luo Golden Immortal bodies are supposed to be the toughest among immortals, but that’s not their true nature—immortals are actually pretty fragile. At higher levels, even their bodies can vanish. So moving from Da Luo Golden Immortal to Primordial Immortal is all about softening up, merging with the Immortal World itself, and hitting true unity with heaven and man. That’s the breakthrough Ryan was gunning for right now!

This Da Luo Golden Immortal peak state is a total mutation of the whole realm—if you nail this step, it sets you up for massive gains down the line!

As the essence blazed inside him, Ryan felt his strength shoot up like crazy. But the real kicker wasn’t just raw power—it was his body itself, changing on a fundamental level. Every part of him started to soften and blend with the aura of the tomb around him, like he could merge right into the environment!

With Ryan’s new vibe in this tomb, even the corpses nearby might start treating him like one of their own!

"Awesome!" Victor Mao couldn’t help blurting out when he saw the scene. As a yin-yang arts practitioner, he totally got how wild this aura shift was. Ryan had basically cultivated an underworld-aligned ghostly immortal body—the dream physique for any tomb-raider! Only with this kind of body can you stroll in and out of tombs, never get attacked by cold yin stuff, and sometimes even get gifted grave treasures by the corpses themselves!

The other tomb-raiders around him could only stare in envy at Ryan’s transformation!

And hitting this level wasn’t even the end of the perks for Ryan—he felt that even if War City’s so-called peak Primordial Immortal expert showed up, he could take them on!

Hell, if his realm bumped up even a bit more, he was confident he could throw down with Marcus Wu himself!

Clearly, this Immortal World was a training paradise for him. It felt like some hidden force was secretly helping him out—maybe because his past-life cultivation was so freakishly high, these breakthroughs were just easy mode now.

“Break through!” Ryan took a deep breath, and as his body exploded with power—along with the tombs all around him—he could feel himself sucking up every last bit of grave aura nearby!

He’d nailed a perfect breakthrough to Da Luo Golden Immortal peak—now, even if those Primordial Immortal corpses went berserk again, they couldn’t hurt him!

“Hell yeah!” Ryan was riding that near-death comeback high, and the rush had him totally pumped.

“Congrats, Mr. Ling—leveled up again!” Victor Mao chimed in right away.

“You really went through hell!” Ryan didn’t hesitate—he pointed at Victor’s right leg, and with a casual gesture, Victor’s whole body started to morph. His missing leg grew right back, even sturdier and more muscular than before!

“Thank you! Seriously, thank you!” Victor Mao was beside himself with gratitude.

“Enough, we’re already brothers through life and death. If I’ve made it this far, it’s thanks to you guys. Every treasure in this tomb is yours—take as much as you want!” Ryan declared quickly.

As soon as Ryan said that, all the tomb-raiders—including Victor Mao—went wild. Nobody hesitated; they rushed around grabbing loot. With all the treasures hidden in this chamber, they could live easy for the rest of their lives!

But Ryan wasn’t interested in any of that. From the Yellow Tier to the Mystic Tier, he’d already absorbed all the best stuff and turned it into essence. Now, his gaze was locked on the even tougher Earth Tier!

The Earth Tier was obviously way stronger than the Mystic Tier!

Even after hitting Da Luo Golden Immortal peak, Ryan knew he was still too weak to take on the Heaven-Earth Sect head-to-head. Marcus Wu was holding the line for now, but that sect was no joke—trouble could break out any time. Since Ryan was already here, he figured he might as well dive deeper; maybe he’d score some other crazy lucky chance!

Even more important, from the Yellow Tier to the Mystic Tier, Ryan kept feeling like someone had already beaten him to the punch. He really wanted to know who it was. The Mystic Tier was nearly cleaned out, with nothing left he wanted, so he needed something fresh. His power had just shot way up, and if he didn’t push further now, he’d regret it!

“Mr. Ling, you’re strong now, so I won’t say much, but the Earth Tier is seriously dangerous. If you go in, be careful—if anything goes wrong, get out fast, or you’ll be in real trouble!” Victor Mao warned.

“Thanks for the heads-up!” Ryan replied. He didn’t hesitate—he’d made up his mind and was going for it. Fortune favors the bold; if you don’t take risks, you get nothing.

Of course, heading into the Earth Tier meant going solo. Ryan didn’t hesitate—he followed a winding path straight into the Earth Tier!

Compared to the Mystic Tier, the Earth Tier was almost eerily quiet. What really threw Ryan was the faint, sweet, feminine fragrance drifting through the tomb—totally out of place in a place like this!

Normally, the only thing in a tomb like this would be corpse stench and filth—how could there possibly be a sweet feminine scent?

Ryan was instantly on guard, worried he’d run into some kind of monster or freak as soon as he stepped in!

Just as he was getting nervous, a woman’s scream suddenly echoed through the tomb. Ryan froze—his first thought was that it had to be a monster trying to bait him. The whole place was dead quiet, so a random scream was definitely fishy!

But before Ryan could move a muscle, a woman’s voice called out: “You big idiot! I’ve been screaming for ages—why aren’t you coming to save me? Hurry up, I can’t even stand up…”

Ryan paused—the voice was weirdly convincing, but there was no way he was falling for it that easily…
