Little Five, You Beast

1/4/2026

Darren Xuan shook his head sadly. "My mother would never agree. She’s always hoped I could rise above my station. Now that Princess Quinn is willing to marry me, and my Divine Father has acknowledged me, she’s truly happy! If I refused, her health... I’m afraid she couldn’t bear it."

Lucy Luan thought for a moment and said, "Actually, although Princess Quinn has a bad temper, she treats you very well. If you can cherish her, maybe both your situation and your feelings will improve."

Darren Xuan shook his head and looked at her. "Divine Lady Lucia, let’s not talk about me. I wonder who’ll be lucky enough to marry you in the future—he’ll be the happiest, luckiest man in all the realms."

For some reason, Lucy suddenly remembered what Mia asked her earlier today: "When are you and Fifth Highness getting married?"

She felt a little awkward and quickly changed the subject. "Can you still fly? Let’s head back!"

Darren nodded and tried to take off.

But he staggered, pain showing clearly on his face.

Lucy had no choice but to reach out and support him.

...

"What are you doing, Little Five? The exam’s tomorrow—where are you dragging me off to?" Adrian Drake grumbled, full of complaints.

Sean Shaw: "Returning Rainbow Mountain."

"Returning Rainbow Mountain? What are we going there for?"

Sean looked at him. "Lead the way."

Adrian, quick-witted as ever, instantly understood: "My senior sister went to treat Darren Xuan’s mother again, didn’t she?"

Sean’s face was as calm as water. "Mm."

"So what are we supposed to do there?"

Sean just grabbed him and started walking.

"Seriously! Last time I helped you scout out ‘enemy intel,’ you said he wasn’t even worth calling an ‘enemy’! Now you’re dragging me off again! I was studying! If I flunk tomorrow, I’ll die just to spite you..."

With Adrian’s constant chatter, the two arrived at Returning Rainbow Mountain.

And immediately saw Lucy supporting Darren as they slowly flew above the clouds.

Darren turned to look at Lucy, his gaze filled with infatuation.

Lucy, ever the oblivious blockhead, didn’t notice at all.

Huh? Darren’s hurt? What happened to him? The two were still cloaked, and Adrian asked curiously via sound transmission.

You go.

Me? What for? They’re heading back, so why don’t we just go too?

Go help him.

Wait! Wouldn’t it be weird if I just showed up out of nowhere? What am I supposed to say?

Sean canceled his Invisibility Technique and shoved him out.

Adrian: Little Five, you beast!

Huh? Adrian? Lucy stopped when she saw him suddenly appear. 'Why are you here?'

Ah! Ah... Adrian scratched the back of his head. 'I heard you came to Returning Rainbow Mountain, so I came to see if you needed any help.'

You just didn’t want to go to class and used this as an excuse to skip and play! Lucy snorted.

Heaven knows!

He absolutely didn’t want to skip class!

Adrian felt like crying. He pushed Lucy aside, helped Darren, and fussed over him: "Darren? What happened to you? Why are you hurt? You look so weak—if Princess finds out, she’ll be heartbroken..."

Darren: ...

Come on, come on, let’s go to my place—I’ll bandage your wounds properly. Adrian helped Darren and led him away.

The three of them leaped back to Drake Yuan and were about to fly toward the Palace Guard Barracks when the Princess suddenly appeared with a crowd of Divine Attendants, making a grand entrance.

Lucy Luan!' Princess Quinn Xiao stormed in, calling Lucy by name. 'You bitch!'

Lucy’s expression turned cold.

Princess!' Darren cried. 'What are you doing? Why are you humiliating Divine Lady Lucia for no reason?'

Princess Quinn pointed at them. "My eldest cousin told me you brought a beautiful woman to Returning Rainbow Mountain to see your mother! You two looked intimate, and when he asked you about it, you actually drew your sword on him! At first I didn’t believe it, but now that I’ve seen Lucy Luan, I believe everything!"
