Cherry Miller's next words were harsh, but true: "I've already given them a chance. Countless times, I warned them that the mountain flood was coming, and Six Saints Town would be hit first. Even without the mudslide, the flooding alone would be more than they could bear. But I only have one mouth, and they have thousands arguing against me. I've done all I can. I'm not a saint—I can't save so many stubborn people. I can only save those who believe in me. Isn't that why you all came up the mountain? I stand by what I said: I can only protect the ones who trust me. If you don't, go save yourselves. Just don't come to me if something happens. I won't care. I have to look after those who are still alive."

Those words were cold and merciless.

Some people in the crowd looked indignant.

"If anyone disagrees with me, you're free to leave. I won't stop you," Cherry Miller said coolly.

But in the end, none of them dared to leave the cave.

Cowardice—it’s really that simple.

Derek Lee tried to ease the tension. "We're truly grateful for the help from all three of you. We know you mean well. It's just... we've lost our homes, and it's hard. Please forgive us."

"I understand how you feel, but I hope you understand our situation too," Cherry Miller replied. "Everything we're doing here isn't for any reward. But we're not saints, and we don't have superpowers. All we can do is save as many as we can. If anyone tries to guilt-trip us, then sorry, I really will just walk away and leave everything behind. I mean it."

Cherry Miller's words were especially blunt and domineering.

Many people in the crowd lowered their heads after hearing her.
