Although it was just a temporary signal base station, Ryan King still led his team to inspect it inside and out twice before declaring it done.
As soon as the signal was restored, Ethan Yin called immediately.
Listening to the voice, the person was already circling high in the air.
"Ryan, you’ve worked hard," Ethan Yin’s voice came through the headset, relaxed and smiling. "How have you all been these past few days?"
"Ethan, mission accomplished," Ryan King replied cheerfully. "We’ve run out of supplies here and were just waiting for you. If you didn’t come soon, we’d be eating dirt!"
Saying they’d eat dirt was a bit of an exaggeration.
But the drop in living standards was very real.
With Sherry Yuan and her team around, they’d never actually go hungry.
Ethan Yin’s voice took on a hint of mystery as he lowered it: "I’ve brought someone you’d never expect. Alright, send me the coordinates—I’m about to start the airdrop."
Ryan King had a good idea who it was, but didn’t ask anything—he just agreed excitedly.
Yina Yin had already led her team to clear the mountaintop.
All the big, bare rocks were moved to the side.
Smaller stones were just left where they were.
After half a month of rain, there wasn’t a speck of soil left on the mountaintop.
At least that meant the airdropped supplies wouldn’t get contaminated.
The residents of Six Saints Town also came to help on their own initiative.
After eating so much of their food, it was only right to pitch in.
Cherry Miller set up the signal transmitter at the top, then stepped aside to wait for the plane.
Rumble, rumble.
The plane approached, circling the area once before locking onto the coordinates and heading straight for the mountaintop.
So, for the first time in their lives, the people of Six Saints Town witnessed the most fantastical scene.
They never knew that an iron lump could actually fly!
And such a huge iron lump at that!
The signal transmitter gave the clearest instructions—one package after another, each dangling from a tiny parachute, floated gently down.
The pilot’s skills were top-notch.
All those supplies landed exactly within the range marked by the signal device—not a single one missed!
"Wow!" Quite a few people in the crowd gasped. "That’s amazing!"
"What kind of magic tool is this? I’ve never seen anything like it!"
"Is this really something from the outside world? Incredible! Now I want to go out and see for myself!"
Cherry Miller directed a team, "Take the supplies back to the cave and register everything."
"Yes, ma’am."
Cherry Miller instructed another team, "There’s some medicine in this batch—pull it out and deliver it to the emergency station."
"Yes, ma’am."
Cherry Miller glanced back at the residents of Six Saints Town, a smile on her lips. "Everyone gets extra food tonight!"
"Ohhh!" The residents of Six Saints Town cheered at her words!
No one had gone hungry these days, but they were a long way from enjoying real food—just enough to fill their stomachs.
Now that Cherry Miller said there’d be extra food, it must mean she’d brought lots of good stuff.
"Look! Someone just jumped down! Ahhh, they really jumped!" The residents of Six Saints Town shouted in shock, their faces full of fear.
Jumping from that height—wouldn’t they be killed?
But Cherry Miller just glanced up and immediately broke into a smile.
