The Plan

"Tianyao, run!"

Silverwing God-King’s divine-spirit avatar shouted, urging her to escape, then charged straight at the mutant death spirit.

Seeing this, Redmoon God-King hesitated briefly, then directed her two divine-spirit avatars to attack as well, while her true body gripped the short sword and rushed toward the mutant death spirit.

"Heh heh!"

The mutant death spirit let out a piercing laugh. Its black eyes fired two beams of darkness—one at Silverwing God-King’s divine-spirit avatar, the other at Redmoon God-King’s true body.

The black beams moved too fast—Silverwing God-King’s avatar couldn’t dodge and was instantly turned into a stone statue, floating in midair. Redmoon God-King’s true body instinctively raised the short sword to block.

"Pfft!"

The black beam struck the short sword squarely, instantly turning it to stone.

"Damn it!"

But a furious roar erupted from inside the short sword. With a series of cracking sounds, a layer of stone peeled off the blade, and a black shadow burst out from within.

The black shadow's gaze swept over Redmoon God-King (Rhea Redmoon) and the mutant death spirit, forcing Rhea Redmoon to retreat a step. The mutant death spirit also sensed overwhelming danger, and black beams shot out from both its eyes, targeting the shadow.

"So it was you!"

The black shadow sneered, transformed into a massive black palm, and slammed down, shattering both black beams at once before smacking the mutant death spirit directly.

"Screech!"

The mutant death spirit was sent flying by the blow.

The mutant death spirit let out a shrill cry and fled straight into the city.

The black palm shadow did not pursue, but instead returned directly into the short sword and vanished.

"Little brother, you saved me again!"

Redmoon God-King (Rhea Redmoon) grabbed the three stone statues and flew toward Ian Song and the others.

Half an hour later.

She caught up with Ian Song, who was waiting for her inside the formation.

"Dad!"

Seeing Snowsun God-King turned to stone, Mira Skylar gasped and rushed over, her eyes full of worry.

"Don't worry, they're not truly turned to stone. Once we leave here, I'll help them recover!" said Redmoon God-King.

"Big sister, are you alright?"

Ian Song asked with concern.

Redmoon God-King replied, "I'm fine. Luckily, the short sword you lent me unleashed its power; otherwise, I would have ended up petrified too. Let's get out of here, quickly!"

The group flew for a day before landing in a mountain valley. Ian Song set up a grand formation, while Redmoon God-King helped Snowsun God-King and Silverwing God-King break free from their predicament.

Several hours later.

With Redmoon God-King's help, they finally broke the stone shell on the surface and escaped from within, though they had suffered considerable depletion. Fortunately, each of them carried various pills.
