You Think You're Special Because You Throw Money Fast
Ten taels of silver—that was what she earned as a maid in an entire month!
"Oh my, miss, do you know what day it is? It's the Lantern Festival! And just now, the best room—the Presidential Suite—became available!"
"Alright, alright! Then—"
Suddenly, with a loud "smack!", a ten-tael silver ingot landed on the counter, cutting Grace off mid-sentence.
"Mr. Saunders, we'll take the room!" came a very familiar voice from behind.
Grace turned around and saw—it was Sophie Sun.
It was she who had thrown the silver just now.
She was accompanied by several men and women, none of whom Grace recognized.
"Well..." Mr. Saunders glanced at Grace. "Miss, these two ladies arrived first. Maybe you could talk it over with them?"
Sophie Sun shot Grace a cold look and sneered, "What's there to discuss? Whoever pays first gets the room!"
"Huh? Well..." Mr. Saunders looked at Grace, clearly at a loss. "Ladies, how about... you wait a little? I'm sure another private room will open up soon!"
Grace didn't make things hard for Mr. Saunders. She shot a sideways glance at Sophie Sun and said, "Sophie, do you even know what 'first come, first served' means?"
"Of course I do!" Sophie Sun grinned. "I paid first, so obviously, I'm first and you're second."
"So you think you're something special just because you throw money fast?" Grace snatched the silver from the counter and, like tossing out trash, hurled it right outside the restaurant's door. "Now, you haven't paid. Time to scram!"
"You!" Sophie Sun was fuming. "What gives you the right to toss my deposit?"
"Why?" Grace smirked. "If I want to teach you a lesson, do I need a reason? I do it just because I want to!"
Sophie Sun was so furious she could barely breathe, but she knew she couldn't beat Grace. Her chest heaved with anger.
"Lantern Festival only comes once a year, and I don't want to see anyone annoying!" Grace raised an eyebrow. "So, I'll count to three, and you'd better get out! Or else, I won't just throw your silver out—I’ll throw you out too!"
"Go ahead and try!" Sophie Sun shot back, her face full of 'let's see who dares touch me' attitude.
Without another word, Grace kicked her right in the stomach.
"Aah!" Sophie Sun screamed as she flew out the front door.
It was pitch dark outside, so nobody could see what she crashed into, but there was a loud "bang!"
Her entourage stared at Grace, eyes wide in shock.
Sophie Sun is a Fifth-Rank Spirit Practitioner!
How could this delicate-looking girl of fifteen or sixteen kick someone so fiercely?
"Here's the deposit, Mr. Saunders!" Grace tossed ten taels of silver to the manager. "Take us upstairs!"
Mr. Saunders glanced nervously outside, then at Grace, who was still smiling sweetly. He stood there with his mouth open, unsure how to respond.
"Well?" Grace slapped the silver onto the counter. "Not going to serve us?"
"No, no! Not at all!" Mr. Saunders had seen all sorts in his time and knew these two ladies were trouble the moment he laid eyes on them. He quickly grabbed the silver and said, "Please! Right this way!"
"Stop right there!" Sophie Sun stormed back in like a whirlwind.
Mr. Saunders froze in fear.
This one's trouble too.
"Mr. Saunders, get your boss out here!" Sophie Sun's face was as dark as a thundercloud.
