Grace looked uncomfortable. "I... chased him away."
Henry Tuoba could imagine how she must've reacted. He said, "Grace, remember, like you, I've lived through this once before. I’m always careful."
Grace nodded. "It was my carelessness."
"It wasn’t carelessness—it’s because you care about me," Henry Tuoba said. "With you caring so much, I have no regrets in this life."
Grace looked at him, her nose red and eyes swollen, but she managed a smile. "Luckily, you’re alright!"
Henry Tuoba smiled, then crouched down to inspect the corpse.
"I’ve already checked—there’s no saving him. His Spirit Core is shattered; none of his internal organs are intact..." Grace said.
But Henry Tuoba said, "Maybe we can find some clues."
"What clues?"
