ROAR!
Inside the arena, the cheetah moved like lightning. Its first strike didn’t land, so it whipped its head around quick as a flash.
BANG!
The Boar King's tusks slammed into the iron cage, echoing with a deafening crash.
It shook its head, spun around, lowered its snout, and stared coldly at the cheetah. Its hind legs tensed, ready for the next attack.
The cheetah’s long tail was raised high in the air, its gaze cold and razor-sharp as it stared down the Boar King, letting out low, menacing growls every so often.
Finally, the cheetah launched another attack. Its paws pounded the ground, charging straight for the Boar King. The boar lowered its head, tusks forward, and barreled right back.
Just as they were about to collide, the cheetah suddenly paused and darted backward, turning the scene into a wild chase with the Boar King thundering after it.
The Boar King snorted deep from its snout as the cheetah sprinted away, heading straight for the dirt-and-stone walls of the beast pit.
With nowhere left to run, the cheetah suddenly kicked off with its hind legs and leapt high, racing up the wall like a shadow.
BOOM!
The Boar King's tusks stabbed deep into the wall, wedging themselves into the stone from the sheer force.
The Boar King struggled, yanking its tusks free from the rock wall.
The cheetah twisted mid-run along the wall, kicked off with its hind legs, and launched itself straight at the Boar King, landing squarely on its back.
The crowd on the platform gasped, "The Boar King has been caught by the cheetah!"
"That cheetah’s got brains! Using the wall to dodge the Boar King’s charge—smart move!" Even the martial artists in the crowd could see the clever strategy.
The cheetah dug all four claws into the Boar King's back, baring its icy, gleaming fangs—those blood-soaked teeth that had ripped through countless prey—lunging straight for the boar’s neck.
"The Boar King's tough, but if it gets bitten on the neck, it’s game over."
Damn! Bite it to death! I put my money on the three challengers!" Someone in the stands jumped up, fired up by the scene.
"It’s over!"
Shawn Shi’s face turned white, his heart aching at the thought of losing all their points in one go.
Just as the cheetah’s jaws were about to clamp down on the Boar King’s neck, the boar finally wrenched its tusks free from the dirt and stone with a violent pull.
It let out a furious roar, swung its body with a whip of its tail, and smashed itself into the wall.
Seeing this, the cheetah immediately leapt off its back without hesitation.
The moment the cheetah hit the ground and before it could even turn, the Boar King was already there. It lifted its tusks and drove one straight through the cheetah’s belly.
The Boar King’s eyes blazed red as it roared, its four thick, stubby legs pounding forward with all its might.
ROAR!
The cheetah howled in pain, claws flailing as it tried to get off the Boar King’s tusk—but it was stuck fast.
The Boar King charged at full speed, slamming into the wall on the other side in a flash.
The tusk buried in the cheetah’s belly pinned it viciously to the wall, blood spraying everywhere as the tusk tore right through.
The cheetah wailed in agony, struggling to break free.
The Boar King backed up, then charged again—slamming into the cheetah over and over.
The cheetah, so fierce just moments ago, went limp and lifeless, collapsing to the ground and never moving again.
Round one: Boar King wins.
"Damn it!"
Damn! Even that lost?
"Is that boar actually smart? Was it faking when it got its tusks stuck in the wall—just to trick the cheetah? Otherwise, with the cheetah’s speed, there’s no way the Boar King could’ve killed it with its tusks."
The stands erupted with curses and complaints.
Shawn Shi let out a shaky breath, finally relaxing a little.
But there were still two rounds left to go.
Staring at those two cages shrouded in black cloth, Shawn Shi couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
God knows what’s hiding under those covers.
Yvonne Zhu glanced at Evan Lin, noticing that this guy hadn’t shown a flicker of emotion the whole time—no joy at winning, no worry about losing.
That stoic look made Yvonne feel a little weird inside.
"He really bet on the Boar King, huh."
Luke Lu narrowed his eyes, shot a look at Evan’s direction, and let out a cold snort.
"So that’s how it is. Not many people ever rack up 160 points, but if he chose Boar King, he’s dead meat for sure!"
"After all, the last cage’s got that monster in it..."
Luke Lu’s eyes swept over to the third cage, totally confident.
No matter how tough the Boar King is, even if it somehow kills whatever’s in the second cage, against the third one, its chances are zero.
Absolutely zero!
Just thinking about that thing inside made Luke Lu uneasy himself.
"Drop the curtain—open the cage!"
Luke Lu didn’t hesitate and shouted out.
Three-match streak mode means no rest for anyone.
As soon as he finished, the black cloth over the second cage was yanked off and the iron door swung open.
"Holy crap! That thing’s huge!" Someone on the platform stared at the second cage, stunned.
"You gotta be kidding me—does that even exist?" Someone else gawked, totally baffled.
"Isn’t this way too dangerous? What if it gets out?" Some people were starting to worry.
All sorts of looks flashed around the room.
Every eye zeroed in on the second cage.
The Boar King, fresh off pinning the cheetah to the wall, seemed to sense something. Its tiny eyes burned even redder.
Inside the black cage, it was pitch dark—like a solid block of lead, filling the whole thing to the brim.
The moment the cloth was pulled away, a wave of putrid stench blasted out, mixed with a chilling, murderous aura.
"Oh my god! How are we supposed to fight that? It’s massive!" Shawn Shi stared at the second cage, his face turning ghostly pale.
Yvonne Zhu was stunned for a moment, then smirked, "Tsk tsk, no matter how tough that Boar King is, in front of this thing it’s just for show!"
"No way the Boar King’s stronger than that!"
After she finished, Yvonne looked at Evan Lin again, seeing he was still perfectly calm. She couldn’t help but yell, "Hey, kid! If you lose everything, are you gonna cry?"
"You traded ten million for those points—ten million! Judging by your look, I bet your family isn’t even loaded, right?"
