Terry Yang never expected his aunt would actually get angry with him. He was unwilling, but had no choice and could only endure it.
Aunt Yang hadn't expected the woman to make such a fuss either. After Terry fell silent, the woman turned to Evan Yang and said, "Speak. If your reason satisfies me, I'll let you pass."
"What? Aunt, how can you do this!" Terry exclaimed, shocked that his aunt would help an outsider. This was something he never imagined.
The woman glared at Terry and said, "Didn't you hear what I said?"
Terry knew his aunt was truly angry this time, so he had no choice but to shut his mouth and watch what would happen next.
Evan hadn't expected things to turn out like this either. After thinking for a moment, he replied, "I have something I need to do beyond the Star Sea."
"Beyond the Star Sea? Isn't that the Yang Clan's forbidden zone? Why do you want to go there?" the woman asked. "Because I want to meet someone," Evan replied.
The woman's eyes widened, as if she had realized something, but quickly returned to normal. "Alright, I'll let you pass. But you're only at the Profound-Immortal Realm—there's no way you can reach the far shore of the Star Sea."
Evan was thrilled to hear he could go, but grew curious when he learned he couldn't reach the Blaze Mountain Territory on the far side of the Star Sea. "Why not?" he asked.
"The deeper you go into the Star Sea, the more dangerous it becomes. To cross it successfully, you not only need the Yang Clan bloodline, but also Emperor Realm strength," the woman said.
"No matter what, I'm going," Evan said. He knew he wasn't a Yang Clan member and didn't have their bloodline, so he never planned to force his way in—at least he could rely on some artifact.
The woman looked at Evan, thought for a moment, and said, "Here's a pass token. Go ahead, but your life and death are none of my concern."
Evan took a pale green pass token, which emitted a faint aura. Seeing that the token he needed came from a Yang clan member, he was surprised and grateful. "Thank you, senior," he said.
"Alright, go," the woman said, letting Evan leave. Evan saw the formation open, while Terry was dumbfounded—he never expected his aunt would let an outsider take the pass token.
"Aunt, how can you do this!" Terry said angrily.
"Whatever I do, I'll take responsibility. Stay out of it," the woman snapped.
Terry was helpless, but he didn't want Evan to go through, so he tried to stop him. The woman said, "Terry, sit here for a while before you leave."
Her words were clearly meant for Evan, telling him to go while she held Terry back. Both Evan and Terry were surprised.
Terry protested, "Aunt, what do you mean by this?"
"It means nothing. Are you coming or not?" the woman replied.
Evan knew it was time to leave, and now that he had the pass token, he could worry about Terry later. Right now, his priority was to find his father as quickly as possible.
So Evan slipped away in a flash, quickly disappearing from Terry and the woman's sight. Terry stomped his foot and said, "Aunt, you... I'm going to tell Grandpa!"
"Do whatever you want," the woman replied, then vanished in a flash herself.
Terry stared at the empty space, furious. He stomped his foot. "Damn it! I finally trapped Evan, but he escaped again. I'm so angry!"
But Terry wasn't stupid. He knew Evan was about to enter the Star Sea, and since only Yang clan members could cross it, he felt a bit better. Still, he couldn't accept what his aunt had done, so he angrily headed for the fiery red planet to find his grandfather, but was stopped by a man.
"Young Master Terry, what's the matter?" Seeing Terry's angry arrival, the man asked in a deep, aged voice.
Terry recognized the man as Yang Gui, the Yang Clan's Chief Steward, who had served several generations of clan leaders and whose strength was unfathomable. Terry dared not offend him, but spoke up, "Chief Steward Yang, something's happened."
"What happened?" Yang Gui asked, frowning.
"My aunt actually gave the pass token to an outsider," Terry said angrily.
Yang Gui felt something was off, but since the clan leader wouldn't come out unless there was a major issue, he asked, "When did this happen?"
