The snow kept falling, soft and steady. Outside the protective barrier, the three bandaged men sat motionless, eyes fixed on it without a single blink.
“Immortal, Immortal—how much longer till they come back? It’s almost dawn!” Colin Kerr, freshly bandaged, paced back and forth nonstop. In his eyes there was only Liam Willow, nothing else at all.
His voice kept shattering the silence. He just couldn’t sit still like the other three—mainly because he was too worried about Liam. If Liam really didn’t come back, he honestly wouldn’t want to live either!
Master Xuanluo sat off to the side and let out a soft sigh. “It all depends on their fate now.”
There was no way to calculate something like this, but he still believed—they’d come back for sure!
The snow kept piling up, heavy as ever. Every one of them was covered in a thick layer of melting snow, but even so, nobody moved an inch.
Old Man Sai kept staring at the barrier, sighing over and over, obviously worried sick.
“Immortal, Immortal—it’s getting light!” Colin shrieked, staring at the silent protection circle, heart pounding in his throat.
But those three men still didn’t react, just kept staring at the spot—because they knew, if the others really didn’t come back, they’d go after them no matter what!
“Immortal, Immortal…” Colin’s terrified shouting made everyone even more anxious.
Master Xuanluo stood up anxiously, his protective circle fading away bit by bit—a clear sign that the time limit was almost up.
But... could they really make it back?
If dawn broke, that would be it—they’d never come back again.
The whole mood instantly turned heavy and tense.
"Uh..." Out of nowhere, a super faint little sound broke the silence.
Immediately, three men’s eyes flew wide—they pounced over without warning.
Suddenly, the people lying on the ground started to stir.
Colin rushed over, dropping to his knees next to Liam Willow and shouting, "Liam! Liam—!"
Old Man Sai burst out crying, calling his grandson’s name, "Crane! Crane—!"
At that moment, Ivy Shen rubbed her aching head and sat up—the first thing she saw was those three ‘snowmen’ starting to move.
"Xin’er..." The three men’s eyes shimmered with tears. Just saying her name made their voices catch.
"Ugh, it hurts—cough, cough—" Felix Bloom was the first to wake, lying on the ground and unable to move. The other three were the same; even though their souls were back, their bodies were still wrecked.
"Sixth..." Ethan Chu managed a smile at Lucian Vane, and Adrian Night and Lucian couldn’t help but grin too.
"Don’t move around, or you’ll end up crippled," Lucian Vane joked.
Felix Bloom shouted, "Venom, could you be any more toxic? I just crawled back from the gates of hell!"
Everyone cracked up, laughing even through their wounds. Happiness filled the air.
Because—they’d all come back. Every single one of them!
Old Man Sai wiped his tears again. So good. So, so good!
High above, Little White sensed Eli Crane’s aura and started circling and screeching in delight.
The little bird’s excitement lifted everyone’s spirits.
Old Man Sai finished wiping his eyes, then hurried to bandage everyone up. He knew their injuries were serious—they’d need time and care to recover.
Master Xuanluo watched, feeling deeply gratified.
Once Ivy Shen was bandaged, she got up and looked at the sky—it was finally quiet outside.
Looks like the night’s war is over. But there’s still one person left to deal with!
Just then, a fiery figure appeared in the distance, running toward them.
It was the Fire God, looking totally beat-up—his clothes were torn and messy, proof he’d been fighting for ages.
"Miss Shen! Miss Shen!" Fire God ran up, panting, and asked, "Are you all okay?"
"We’re fine. What about you guys?" Ivy Shen asked anxiously, still worried about Nina Xu and Yvonne Li.
Fire God hurried to say, "We’re all fine! Oh, and Miss Nina and Miss Yvonne have already captured Song Zhijue—they’re keeping an eye on him now."
Hearing that, Ivy Shen smiled gently. "You guys worked so hard. Thank you."
