Crisis of the Dragon Body II

1/19/2026

Now that Evan Chu had transformed into a golden dragon, his consciousness was completely gone. In his eyes, the four women were nothing but lowly humans. The supreme dignity of the Dragon Clan could not be violated—he opened his mouth and spat a jet of fire at them.

The flames were scorching hot, even fiercer than Flarefire, instantly igniting some of the new bridal furniture in the room. The four women reacted quickly and dodged to the side.

"What the hell is Linfeng doing? Why is he attacking us—doesn't he recognize us anymore?" Lynne Nie couldn't help but shout angrily.

"Everyone be careful! Right now, Linfeng really might not recognize any of us. We have to find a way to bring him back to normal—otherwise, if he rushes out like this, the other sects might attack him!" Selena Yale said immediately.

Evan had no awareness of what he was doing. When he saw that the flames couldn't hurt the four women, he immediately spat out a blast of icy breath. This cold was no weaker than Coldflame, instantly turning the entire room into a world of ice and snow.

"Run! He won't snap out of it anytime soon—we can't just sit here and wait to die!" Serena Dream decided instantly.

The four women quickly flew up into the air, and Evan followed right after, his golden aura erupting. A thunderous dragon roar echoed over Frostbane Sect, startling all the Frostbane Sect disciples and the guests attending Evan's wedding.

"Look! What is that? No way—am I actually seeing the legendary Divine Dragon? How could a Divine Dragon appear at Frostbane Sect—what's going on here?" a Frostbane Sect disciple cried out in terror.

At that moment, disciples from other sects also rushed out of their side halls. Seeing the golden dragon in the sky with Selena Yale and the other three women, they were all puzzled.

"How could something ancient like this appear here? Did the Dragon Shrine's seal break? Has the Dragon Clan entered the Azure Tide Ruins?" the Freewind Palace Lord exclaimed immediately.

"There's something strange about this golden dragon's appearance. Not good—he's attacking Pavilion Master Yale and the four women, we have to help!" the Sacred Sword Sect Master shouted. He flashed into the sky and unleashed a massive sword-qi attack toward Evan.

Evan saw someone attacking him and instantly flew into a rage, spitting out another jet of fire that collided with the Sacred Sword Sect Master's sword-qi. Their attacks caused the surrounding space to ripple violently.

After the Sacred Sword Sect Master attacked the golden dragon, the Freewind Palace Lord, Bloodfiend Hall Master, and several other powerful sect leaders also flew into the sky, preparing to join forces to subdue the dragon.

"Don't hurt him—he's Linfeng!" Selena Yale shouted loudly.

"Linfeng? You're saying this golden dragon is Linfeng? How is that possible?" The Sacred Sword Sect Master asked in shock—clearly, Selena Yale's words were hard for him to accept.

At that moment, Evan saw so many people surrounding him in the sky. His huge dragon eyes slowly turned red—being attacked by these lowly humans was a direct challenge to the Dragon Clan's authority. He immediately spat out a blast of Coldflame, dropping the temperature and making thick snow fall from the sky.

Now that they knew the golden dragon was Evan, those who had wanted to attack him were at a loss—they didn't know whether to strike or not. For the moment, all they could do was dodge and keep dodging.

"What in the world is going on—how did Linfeng become like this?" the Freewind Palace Lord asked in utter confusion.

"Master has always carried a golden dragon bloodline. Now, he may have triggered an inheritance of Dragon Clan memories, but because his bloodline hasn't fully awakened, he's fallen into a state of qi-deviation. Absolutely no one should attack him—if he truly goes berserk, he could destroy all of Frostbane Sect." This was Heaven Ape's voice echoing through the sky.

Heaven Ape was the most unfamiliar figure to everyone present. They all looked at him in confusion—his strength was clearly at least Third Layer Saint Martial Realm, yet he called Evan 'master,' which struck them as bizarre.

Heaven Ape knew his identity would be exposed, but for Evan's sake, he didn't care if he had to fight these humans. He trusted that Serena Dream and the other women would stop things from getting out of hand.

He then transformed, and a giant ape appeared in the sky. This sudden change stunned the Freewind Palace Lord, Sacred Sword Sect Master, and Selena Yale once again. They hadn't expected a monster beast—especially one at the Saint Martial Realm, a true overlord—to call Evan 'master.'

With both a monster beast and a Divine Dragon appearing at once, it felt as if the world of the Azure Tide Ruins had been thrown into chaos. Most shocking of all, the Divine Dragon was actually the master of Frostbane Sect, one of the Nine Great Sects. If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, no one would have believed it.

"Who are you, and why have you come to the Azure Tide Ruins? You should know that monster beasts aren't allowed to enter the Azure Tide Ruins, just as humans aren't allowed into the Monster Beast Forest. If you don't explain yourself, don't expect to leave today," the Sacred Sword Sect Master said.

Heaven Ape was a notorious figure from ancient times. If not for Evan, he would never be polite to these lowly humans. But the dignity of monster beasts could not be trampled on, so he roared, "You think I fear you? Once my master's crisis is resolved, I won't mind a duel with you!"

"Heaven Ape, don't be reckless! You'll only make things worse for Linfeng!" Serena Dream immediately stepped in front of Heaven Ape to stop him.

Serena Dream's use of the name 'Heaven Ape' made the Sacred Sword Sect Master and Freewind Palace Lord's hearts tremble. The name was all too familiar, and their faces turned pale—they had realized the monster beast's true identity.

"Are you the Heaven Ape who once served at Frostbane's side? How can that be?" the Sacred Sword Sect Master asked.

"There's nothing impossible about it. If my master could reincarnate, why couldn't I survive? If you want a fight, wait until his crisis is handled—I promise you won't be disappointed," Heaven Ape said angrily.

The Sacred Sword Sect Master had already given up on fighting Heaven Ape. Though Heaven Ape was only at Third Layer Saint Martial Realm, he had ten thousand years of combat experience, and monster beasts were far stronger and tougher than humans. If it came down to a real fight, it was anyone's guess who would win.

What mattered most was that Heaven Ape was Evan's sworn follower. If Evan recovered and found out he'd mistreated Heaven Ape, he might hold a grudge. It wasn't that he feared Evan—though he might not be Evan's match in pure strength, his Sacred Sword Sect was far more powerful than Frostbane Sect, and their relationship was too good to ruin over this.

"Since you're with Linfeng, let's drop it. We should focus on calming him down. Right now, he probably doesn't recognize anyone—otherwise, he wouldn't attack the woman he loves," the Sacred Sword Sect Master said.
