Though Moon-Venerable was crippled, her legs ruined, she remained the oldest of the Heavenly Venerables.
Even after years in seclusion, she was not to be underestimated.
The space near Jade Pool was crushed almost to pieces by these terrifying presences; only the island with the winding pavilions remained a relatively safe haven.
Looking out from the island, space beyond was shattered into countless fragments, forming a terrifying spatial storm that raged wildly, while those dreadful beings stood motionless amid the chaos.
The scene was so horrifying that Quinn and the others felt as if the outside world had already been destroyed, leaving only their lonely island.
"If a Heavenly Venerable war breaks out, Heavenly Court will be utterly destroyed."
Quinn nudged the still-sleeping Dragon-Qilin, sighing, "It's a pity they won't actually fight."
Dragon-Qilin woke up, glanced around, and asked in surprise, "Cult Master, it's not over yet?"
Quinn nodded, and Dragon-Qilin lay back down to sleep again.
Liam Cloud chuckled, "That guy's got it good—he can still sleep through all this."
Dragon-Qilin opened his bleary eyes and rumbled, "If the sky falls, the Cult Master will hold it up. If the Cult Master dies, I won't live anyway, so I might as well sleep."
Everyone couldn't help but laugh.
But on second thought, Dragon-Qilin's words made a lot of sense.
The situation now was far beyond their control—even Quinn, the culprit who tore apart Heavenly Court's balance, couldn't change its course.
No matter how much they cared, there was nothing they could do to alter the outcome—so worrying was pointless.
Dragon-Qilin's ability to sleep soundly even at a life-and-death crisis was truly impressive.
"There are now ten Heavenly Venerable-level beings here, with six firmly on Heavenly Court's side."
Liam Cloud analyzed, "That means Heavenly Court still has four more Heavenly Venerables—an overwhelming advantage. Shepherd Venerable, the situation isn't really looking up. If a few more show up, do you have any backup? Will Quinn Heavenly Venerable appear?"
Quinn smiled slightly. "The Pioneer Emperor guards Carefree Haven—he wouldn't have appeared before, and he won't now. Besides, who says those four remaining Heavenly Venerables won't help me?"
Not far away, Elaina Cloud paused, glanced at him, her eyes thoughtful.
The Ten Heavenly Venerables of the Heavenly Court—Hao, Huo, Xiao, Ancestral, Lang, Qiang, Yan, Hong, Xu, and Gong—among them, only the Ancestral God-King revealed his true face. The others kept their real appearances hidden, lest they leave evidence for their political rivals to accuse them of killing Shepherd Heavenly Venerable.
And among them, the Empress is hiding in the crowd, secretly helping Quinn.
The Empress helps Quinn because Madam Yuanmu's corpse is in his hands. Fearing her younger sister's resurrection, she has no choice but to cooperate.
Quinn had sworn that someone else would help him. But which of the Ten Heavenly Venerables would it be?
The Ten Heavenly Venerables of the Heavenly Court have never been a unified front.
They've always schemed against each other, tripping one another up. Not long ago, Hao Heavenly Venerable descended with the strongest divine artifact, only to be forced back, resulting in the Origin World falling into someone else's hands.
Now, yet another Heavenly Venerable arrives. Even the island where the Serpentine Palace is located can't withstand it; the edges begin to collapse, rocks shattering into dust.
The palace maids on the island scream in terror, scrambling back toward the Serpentine Palace, desperate to avoid being wiped out by the Heavenly Venerables' terrifying aura.
Although Quinn's Serpentine Palace is by the sea, with Heaven Duke, Tu Bo, the Empress, and others secretly shielding it, for now the turmoil won't reach them.
But this new Heavenly Venerable's arrival once again disrupts the balance. The island can't hold out much longer; soon, it will be ground to ash, and everyone on it will be obliterated, body and soul!
Just then, another Heavenly Venerable descends onto Jade Sea.
His arrival restores the balance once more, and the island stops breaking apart.
"So even among the Ten Heavenly Venerables, there are those who stand against the Heavenly Court!"
A Heavenly Venerable, his face hidden in layers of radiance, let out a cold laugh. "To think we usually call each other Daoist friends, yet we know faces, not hearts. Still, you are always the minority!"
At that moment, yet another Heavenly Venerable descends, shattering the balance again. The island resumes its collapse!
But just as this Heavenly Venerable stops, another one arrives, restoring the balance yet again. The island's collapse halts at once.
All Ten Heavenly Venerables of the Heavenly Court are now present!
Plus Heaven Duke, Tu Bo, Nether-Venerable, and Moon-Venerable—fourteen supreme beings in total!
Liam Cloud was filled with emotion and sighed, "What a spectacle! This is a once-in-a-lifetime scene—fourteen Heavenly Venerable-level beings. If they really start fighting, it'll be a cataclysm like nothing the world has ever seen!"
"Cataclysm, my ass!"
