In that instant, even Quinn Shepherd felt his scalp prickle, as if plunging into an abyss!
Although the Heavenly Court Realm is still incomplete, it remains the highest cultivation realm—its power is terrifying even in a fractured state.
Still, Nether‑Venerable may not be a match for the mysterious figure on the sea.
For years, Heavenly Court has been collecting every Emperor’s Throne technique, hoping to combine them into a complete Heavenly Court technique. Though they’ve never succeeded, their accumulation is immense.
But Nether‑Venerable long ago withdrew from Heavenly Court’s power circles and went to Youdu.
Many Emperor’s Throne experts have died in history; some souls entered Youdu, so Nether‑Venerable may have gained quite a few Emperor’s Throne techniques there. Yet Heavenly Court has steadily weakened Youdu’s influence—like when it ordered Black Emperor Yin Tianzi to build the Dark Capital, not just to undermine Tu Bo but also to intercept the souls of dead Emperor’s Throne beings.
As a result, Nether‑Venerable cannot possibly forge a complete Heavenly Court Realm technique.
Plus, Heavenly Court controls far more resources. Daoist Patriarch’s classic arts deduce all kinds of ancient god Dao‑runes—without these, Nether‑Venerable simply cannot match the mysterious figure on the sea.
And now, another Heavenly Venerable‑level being descends!
Cold sweat broke out on Quinn’s brow.
He had originally thought his rescuer would be the Ancient-God Emperor. If the Ancient-God Emperor intervened, tearing open the Heavenly Court would be effortless.
But he never expected Nether-Venerable to care so deeply about his safety, to the point of intervening personally!
He was deeply moved, yet now he worried for Nether-Venerable’s own safety.
Nether-Venerable and the mysterious figure on the sea erupted almost simultaneously. Nether-Venerable raised his lantern and slammed it down—the sky and sea changed color, and all at once the entire Jade Sea seemed to flip upside down. The next moment, Jade Sea vanished from the Heavenly Court and reappeared in a vast, shadowy world.
He forcibly dragged Jade Terrace and Jade Sea out of the Heavenly Court and into Youdu!
At the same time, the mysterious figure on the sea made his move—behind him, Heaven Palaces rose one after another, connecting sky and earth with thunderous force, forming a boundless Heavenly Court!
Meanwhile, another figure appeared on the surface of Jade Sea in Youdu. Light burst from behind him as Heaven Palaces manifested—this was also a maimed Heavenly Court, incomplete and fractured.
The two Heavenly Venerables raised their feet in unison and stomped down hard on the Jade Sea’s surface. Space shook violently, and the pressure forced Jade Sea to return to the Heavenly Court once more!
"Nether-Venerable absolutely can’t hold off both of them at once!"
Quinn acted without hesitation—he forcibly erased the Creator’s divine sense from the altar, then sprang to his feet as a beam of light shot from his brow.
Cyrus Qi and Liam Cloud were startled, not understanding Quinn Shepherd’s intent; they thought he must be mad to challenge the two Heavenly Venerables.
But Quinn Shepherd’s third eye light shone toward Elaina Cloud, leaving the two even more bewildered.
Light burst from Quinn Shepherd’s brow, and a coffin appeared at Elaina Cloud’s feet. She cried out and quickly stepped back.
Quinn Shepherd flicked his sleeve, and the coffin boomed open, divine light swirling inside.
Elaina Cloud’s heart skipped as she saw the corpse inside the coffin.
Quinn Shepherd strode to the coffin and said gravely, “If Nether-Venerable can’t hold them off, I’ll use the Soul-Calling Rite to summon the soul of this corpse’s owner, reconstruct her god-soul, and resurrect her!”
Elaina Cloud glanced at him, just as Quinn Shepherd looked back.
Their eyes met, and Elaina Cloud giggled, “The Grand Archmage truly is the Grand Archmage.”
She stopped speaking, and just then the sky shook again as yet another Heavenly Venerable descended, their aura bursting forth and Heaven Palaces manifesting in succession, Dao-sound reverberating endlessly!
But this Heavenly Venerable wasn’t targeting Nether-Venerable, but rather the two previous Heavenly Venerables.
The two Heavenly Venerables were stunned, barely able to believe it.
Both hid their true faces, unwilling to bear the blame for killing Shepherd Heavenly Venerable, so at this moment they couldn’t tell who the newcomer was.
Quinn Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief, closed the coffin, and sent it back to the Keane-Sigil Continent within his eye, anxiously watching the situation.
Elaina Cloud came to his side, watching the Jade Sea’s situation with him, and whispered like a mosquito, “Do you know who I am?”
Quinn Shepherd nodded lightly, voice barely audible: “I know. On the Ghost Ship, I once called Her Majesty’s soul.”
Elaina Cloud laughed: “I’ve always wondered who called my soul hundreds of thousands of years ago. Later I heard of a Ten-Thousand-Kalpa Undying Grand Archmage and guessed it was you. I was right.”
Quinn Shepherd burst out laughing.
Elaina Cloud’s eyes lowered, shy and bashful, twisting her sleeve like a girl in love. She whispered, “Keep my sister’s corpse safe, or I won’t forgive you! Other ancient gods need your soul-reconstitution arts, but I don’t—my soul is whole and I’ve already escaped the ancient god flesh!”
In the pavilion, Cyrus Qi and Liam Cloud watched, hearts sour with emotion.
Even though Liam Cloud knew the woman meant no good, he still felt a pang of jealousy.
