I Want to Go Too

"Not entirely impossible," said the Celestial Emperor.

"Oh? Who? Who could be more powerful than our Drake Abyss High Priest?"

"The one at the Demon Sealing Well!" said the Celestial Emperor. "She’s the greatest Rune Master in the world! Maybe she can figure it out!"

Divine Lord Tanya Quinn suddenly realized, "That actually makes sense! But will she help? She’s been locked up there for over a thousand years! Who knows how much resentment she’s built up! Who would dare see her? Wouldn’t she just tear you apart?"

"That’s what I thought too," the Celestial Emperor said mysteriously, "but I recently learned something."

"What is it?"

"Lucy Luan went in to see her," said the Celestial Emperor. "She even brought out a Golden Immortal Swallow Nest."

Tanya Quinn’s eyes lit up. "Oh? Really?"

"Yes! Quentin Lian is quite capable. Maybe he’s already calmed her down," said the Celestial Emperor. "Let’s go find Quentin and have him take us in for a try."

Tanya Quinn glanced at the training squad and said, "Bring Lucy along too. With his daughter in our hands, let’s see if Quentin dares refuse!"

"Hehehe! Good idea!"

...

Lucy Luan finished training, totally wiped out, when the Celestial Emperor called out to her: "Lucy! Come here."

Lucy walked over. "Your Majesty, what is it?"

"Lucy, go home and rest well tonight. You don’t need to train tomorrow."

"Huh? Why?" Lucy asked in surprise.

"Tomorrow, you’ll come with me and Divine Lord Tanya Quinn to the Spirit Alliance to see your Divine Father."

"Why are we seeing my Divine Father?" Lucy asked curiously.

"Just a little something," said the Celestial Emperor.

"Oh... okay!" Lucy replied happily.

She was more than happy to get a day off.

Everyone’s been exhausted these days.

The Celestial Emperor was about to turn and leave, but nearly bumped into Sean Shaw.

"Father," Sean called.

"Ah? Sean, what is it?" asked the Celestial Emperor.

"I want to go too."

"Go where?"

"Spirit Alliance," said Sean. "I heard everything you just said."

"Ha! Training together all day isn’t enough? You want to follow us everywhere?"

Sean pursed his lips, saying nothing.

"Fine, fine, fine!" The Celestial Emperor gave in at Sean’s look. "You can come too!"

Sean actually smiled at him for once.

The next day, Lucy found out she wasn’t the only one going to Spirit Alliance—Sean was coming too.

She didn’t speak to him the whole way.

Didn’t even glance at him.

Lucy guessed they were going to see her Divine Father for medicine.

Are they really not done tormenting us? Are they going to give us more medicine too?

Turns out, it wasn’t for medicine.

At Spirit Alliance, after the formal greetings, the Celestial Emperor actually asked her Divine Father to take them into the Dragon-Coiling Heavenly Gang Array to see the white-robed woman!

Quentin Lian asked why they wanted to see her, and they said it was for something extremely important to divine.

But they wouldn’t say exactly what.

So Quentin said he’d go in and ask her first, and if she agreed to see them, he’d take them in.

"Quentin, just take us in directly! No need to ask her!" said the Celestial Emperor.

Anyone could guess she wouldn’t agree.

"No," said Quentin. "I promised her, unless she consents, I can’t bring anyone in to disturb her."

The Celestial Emperor grinned mischievously. "But I know you secretly let Lucy in a while ago!"

Quentin looked at Lucy.

Lucy’s eyes widened instantly. "I didn’t tell, Divine Father! Your Majesty, how did you know?"
