Still Want to Run

Quinn Wu’s wounds were so deep that bone was visible in several places. His body was soaked in blood, and only sheer willpower kept him standing—he could collapse at any moment.

Evan Chu had killed at least eight people, while Quinn Wu had only four. Even if Evan let Quinn kill all the remaining enemies by himself, he still couldn’t catch up.

At this point, most of Quinn’s starforce was spent, and his injuries left him unable to fight. He couldn’t even manage one more kill—their opponents were Honors Class students too, and the gap in strength wasn’t that big.

Zack Zhao and the others saw Quinn Wu’s condition. If they all left and just Quinn and Evan remained, Quinn might get killed. Zack said urgently, “Evan Chu, Quinn’s got nothing left—let’s just finish off these guys quickly.”

With most Sea Dragon Academy students dead or wounded, they were no threat to Heavenly Dragon Academy anymore. But a few Heavenly Dragon students were badly hurt, and two had died, leaving everyone regretful.

“I’d agree, but that guy won’t. I’m worried he won’t accept defeat and will keep pestering Jenny—such a hassle. Honestly, I want to kill him, but he’s just a lovesick fool who fell for the wrong girl. If not for that, he’d be dead already. I’ve already shown enough mercy.” Evan Chu said loudly, making sure Quinn Wu heard every word.

Already badly wounded, Quinn Wu was enraged by Evan Chu’s words. A mouthful of blood burst from his lips and he collapsed instantly.

His eyes were filled with helplessness and unwillingness, but there was nothing he could do. The pain in his body was intense, but the agony of completely losing Jenny Sima hurt even more.

Seeing Quinn Wu fall, Evan Chu told Zack Zhao, “Take him away. I’ll finish off these guys myself—let him see what real strength looks like.”

Zack Zhao also wanted to see just how strong Evan Chu really was. He knew Evan was probably stronger than him, but maybe, if he worked hard enough, he could catch up someday.

After Zack Zhao and the other students dragged Quinn Wu away, they immediately started treating his wounds. But Quinn struggled angrily, shouting, “Let me go! Let me go! I want to kill! I want to beat him! Jenny is mine!”

He broke down sobbing, all his previous composure gone. Not long after, he fainted completely.

Seeing Quinn Wu like this, Jenny Sima felt a deep pang of guilt. If not for her, he wouldn’t be hurt or suffering so much.

Quinn Wu really was a good suitor—gentle, attentive, always caring. But Jenny’s heart had long belonged to Evan Chu. No matter how good Quinn was, it was impossible for her to accept him.

Besides, she and Evan Chu had already crossed that final line—she was no longer untouched. Even if Quinn didn’t care, she herself could never agree.

Evan Chu stood perfectly still, not moving an inch. The remaining Sea Dragon Academy students found it strange—they had no idea what trick this Heavenly Dragon Academy guy was up to.

Now, the only ones left were basically Sea Dragon Academy Honors Class elites, with plenty of Fifth Layer Earth Martial Realm cultivators among them. One of them said:

“Brother Hai, what’s this guy doing? Does he really want to fight all of us alone? Is he nuts?”

“You don’t know crap. That guy’s a total freak—his body’s like an iron plate, nothing can hurt him. He’s probably one of Heavenly Dragon Academy’s top fighters.

Judging by his speed and the martial arts he just used, I’d say only our academy’s Brother Long could beat him.”

“Brother Long’s already at the Seventh Layer of the Earth Martial Realm. I heard he didn’t enter the Monster Beast Forest this time—he’s supposedly trying to break through to the Eighth Layer. Not sure if that’s true.”

“Of course! Brother Long is Sea Dragon Academy’s top genius. When the next match against Heavenly Dragon Academy comes, we’ll definitely win.” As he said this, Brother Hai suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

He saw Evan Chu suddenly raise both hands and point forward. Just as he was about to speak, two screams rang out—two students collapsed, each with a bowl-sized bloody hole in their chest, dead on the spot.

“What... what kind of martial technique is that?” Brother Hai blurted out in shock. They were more than ten meters apart, but with just a wave of his hand, that guy took two lives. It was terrifying.

Evan Chu smiled faintly. “Heart-Sword’s attack power is instant kill for these guys. I should try fusing two Heart-Swords and see how much stronger it gets.”

With that thought, Evan Chu split his focus and unleashed Heart-Sword again. Invisible sword-qi shot at the Sea Dragon Academy students.

Again, two more dropped dead instantly. Everyone was stunned—including the Heavenly Dragon Academy students.

In just a few breaths, Evan Chu had killed four people, all with a flick of his hand from over ten meters away. No one could figure out how he did it.

“What martial technique is Evan Chu using? It’s insane!” a Heavenly Dragon Academy student exclaimed.

“It must be some kind of sword-qi attack, but he’s not even using a sword—he’s shooting sword-qi from his fingers! That’s terrifying!” Zack Zhao said, still shaken.

Now Zack Zhao finally realized he wasn’t even on the same level as Evan Chu. No wonder Evan could slay the overwhelmingly powerful Skyfiend Tiger.

At this moment, Jenny Sima’s protective shield was withdrawn by the Violet Thunder Fox. Watching Evan Chu’s performance, Jenny felt a surge of joy—he’d grown so much stronger in such a short time, it was almost unbelievable.

“Run! We’re no match for this guy!” shouted Brother Hai from Sea Dragon Academy.

Evan Chu’s instant slaughter of four people terrified the Sea Dragon Academy crowd. As soon as ‘run’ was shouted, they all bolted at top speed.

They were fast, but Evan Chu was faster. Using Shifting Position several times, he blurred forward in a trail of afterimages, appearing ahead of the fleeing Sea Dragon Academy students. He turned and smiled, “Still want to run?”

“My god, is this guy even human? How can he be so fast? Looks like we’re doomed today.”

“Let’s fight him together! I refuse to believe all of us can’t kill one man!” shouted a student, raising his sword and slashing at Evan Chu.

“Overestimating yourself!” Evan Chu didn’t even bother dodging. Attacks like that would at most sting a little—hurting him was just wishful thinking.

After breaking through the Third Layer of the Starforge Body, Evan Chu’s physical strength and toughness were monstrous. He did something no one could believe.

He simply stood there, unmoving, letting the opponent’s sword land squarely on his body.

The Heavenly Dragon Academy students watching from afar were stunned. Jenny Sima even cried out, “Evan, be careful!”

But it was already too late—the student’s sword had landed on Evan Chu. What happened next made the attacker feel pure terror.

When the blade struck Evan Chu, it was like hitting an iron plate. A huge rebound force shot back, almost making the attacker drop his sword.

Yet Evan Chu seemed completely unharmed. That sword could’ve shattered a boulder, but he wasn’t even scratched—he just grinned at his attacker, looking almost silly…
