"Ghost Elder, don’t panic yet. When things get urgent, you need to stay chill. Sure, we’ve pissed her off big time, but there’s no way she’s storming the Yangtze defense line right away. Before I came, I already coordinated with Kenneth Li and the others—if I succeed, the North will flip out. The only move left is to tear off all pretenses and go full confrontation!" Ryan steadied himself and continued, "We’ve got all seventeen southern provinces united now. If I’m right, Kenneth Li’s already received word of my success, and the joint protest from the seventeen provinces is already out! Not only did we release the protest list, we exposed all the Kunlun League’s dirty deeds nationwide, and we made Daniel Deng’s wrongful imprisonment public too. Just that—forget everything else—the fact that they tried to wipe out China’s Dragon Group and the Nang Family is enough to get the whole country spitting on them. As long as public opinion is on our side, even the Kunlun League won’t dare attack openly, and international pressure will pile on!"
"Yeah, uniting the southern provinces is definitely the way to go. If you lay it all out, no matter how fierce they are, they won’t dare go against the heavens. If they really did, the whole country would split, and that’s the last thing they want. They need a population of obedient sheep, not a divided nation!" Ghost Elder nodded, but quickly added, "This move will hold them off for now, but it won’t last. They’ll definitely make a move. And let me be clear—the Kunlun League is way more complicated than you think. Inside, the Century Witch isn’t even the strongest. The League has all kinds of ranks: standard C, B, and A levels—the Century Witch barely scrapes B+, almost A. Above that is the S-rank madman. From what I know, the craziest monster Kunlun League ever had was 3S-rank. When he showed up, he nearly wiped out all of Europe and killed almost half the innocent civilians there!"
"3S? That insane?" Ryan couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat. He’d already seen how strong the Century Witch was, but a 3S? He couldn’t even imagine.
But what Ghost Elder said next made Ryan jump even more.
"Since we’re talking about the Kunlun League today—and you’ve already tangled with their madmen—I might as well be straight with you. The founder of the Kunlun League isn’t even alive. He’s dead. He’s the Western Pacifying King of Hell!"
"What did you just say?" Ryan nearly jumped out of his seat.
"I didn’t let you mess with the Western Pacifying King before, and I kept quiet because, honestly, you wouldn’t have stood a chance at your old strength—even knowing wouldn’t have helped. But now you’ve fought the Century Witch, so it’s my duty to tell you the truth about the Kunlun League and the huge challenge you’re facing!" Ghost Elder steadied himself and continued, "I hope you won’t back down, and don’t be scared. The Western Pacifying King isn’t just trying to swallow all of Hell—he wants to control the whole mortal world. Your old man, Lord Yama, is fighting him to the death in Hell, and you, as his godson, have to wipe out the Kunlun League for good. If the mortal world falls into chaos, Hell will be doomed too. If the Six Paths of Reincarnation collapse, the whole world will be thrown into darkness, and every living soul will face the end! And the reason they keep coming after you is your parents. If I’m right, your father knows some secret about the Kunlun League that they’ve been hunting for ten years without finding. So now they want to destroy your parents instead. You need to get them out—take them somewhere nobody knows. That’s the only way they’ll be safe!"
"Got it. I’ll figure out a way to get them out when I head to the South Sea this time!" Ryan nodded, feeling the road ahead was long, but things suddenly seemed a bit clearer.
Even though his strength was still way below the Kunlun League’s, and nowhere near the Western Pacifying King, at least now he controlled the South—and the hearts of everyone in China. The will of the people is the will of heaven. If you hold the people’s hearts, you hold the key to victory. Even an ant can bite a bull to death if enough people stand up.
Right then, as Ryan pulled himself together, they were already back in the South. The North was shaking, powerhouses kept popping up, and the whole southern defense line was on edge. But the joint protest from the seventeen provinces really did work. The thousands of reporters made a difference too. Public opinion was going wild, and even major countries were already sending inquiries to China’s headquarters. Clearly, for now, nobody dared attack the South lightly.
But Ryan and the others had already received solid intel: Yan Capital’s headquarters in the North was going nuts covering up the truth, mobilizing tons of troops, and using legal tricks to frame all the big southern bosses. If nothing changes, even if the South holds for now, it won’t last more than half a month!
In half a month, a North–South war is guaranteed!
"Ryan, I’ve pretty much nailed down the Divine Dragon’s activity zone. And half a month ago, the dragon’s aura was super strong in this area!" Back in Jinling, Guihai One-Blade had already done all his dragon-hunting homework. This time, he wasn’t going in blind—having Guihai One-Blade, the sea’s top dog, made everything way more organized. He’d spent ages in these waters, especially around China’s coasts, so he knew them like the back of his hand.
Right now, Guihai One-Blade’s search zone was all the way at China’s southern tip, near a foreign country. There’s a big cluster of reefs there, and a spot with a cool name: Divine Dragon Pool!
"Alright, let’s not waste any time—let’s go!" Ryan didn’t want to stick around. Guihai One-Blade’s Life Core power was spent, and Ryan’s strength was at rock bottom, even weaker than his old Glazed Golden Core. Sure, the North was suppressed for now, but if they sent a small squad, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.

With the destination locked in, Ryan quickly mapped out the sea route with Guihai One-Blade, brought his parents along, and headed straight for the mysterious Divine Dragon Pool.
They couldn’t afford to make a big scene, so Ryan didn’t bring anyone else. His parents were set up on a regular cruise ship, playing the part of tourists on a vacation—way more natural and less suspicious. Ryan went with Guihai One-Blade, heading straight for Divine Dragon Pool.
Looking at the rolling waves of the South Sea, Ryan realized this was his second time here. The first was Sansha Island. But now, thanks to the Hong Kong factions’ bombardment, Sansha was a wreck. Sister Huifen’s family used to live there, but Sophia Long, being kind, took them all to Yan Capital—only to leave the wolf’s den for the tiger’s lair.
With the Nang Family wiped out, Sister Huifen’s whole family was doomed too.
And all of this was courtesy of the Kunlun League!
Ryan took a deep breath, then clenched his fists. He was definitely going to settle this score!
"Ryan, according to the map, Divine Dragon Pool should be right ahead!" Guihai One-Blade had been watching their route, and after three hours, he suddenly pointed at a long string of reefs up ahead.
"Divine Dragon Pool?" Ryan was stunned. With Guihai One-Blade’s help, things were way more efficient this time. Following the direction he pointed, Ryan spotted a huge pool of water in the middle of the reefs, with a waterfall pouring down—super impressive.
"Let’s go, let’s check it out right now!" Ryan said, barely able to contain his excitement.
"Alright!" Guihai One-Blade nodded. Time was life now—finding the Divine Dragon fast was the best outcome.
But just as the two of them stepped onto the reefs, a huge group of creepy men in black headscarves and black clothes suddenly surrounded them!
"Who the hell are you? Move now or get slaughtered!" Ryan wasn’t about to play nice—anyone who got in the way at this point was dead meat. He didn’t have time for nonsense!
"Divine Dragon possessed, invincible under heaven—kill these two who barged into our Wu Sect forbidden zone!" the leader shouted.
Right then, as they spoke, Ryan and Guihai One-Blade both noticed something weird: every single guy had a shiny Dragon Scale hanging on his chest...
