"They've got some nerve, haven't they?" Commander Gordon was instantly furious.
"Exactly! They must have a death wish, sneaking around the General's Mansion like that!" Grace said.
"Who are those bullies? Tell me," Commander Gordon said, a hint of menace in his voice. "I'm a fourth-tier spiritual practitioner. Taking care of one or two thugs is no problem for me."
Grace quickly shook her head. "Commander Gordon, thank you for your kindness! But that bully is also a spiritual practitioner. "That's him!" Grace said.
"Got it, don't worry!" Commander Gordon said. "Once I've dealt with him, I'll come find you."
Grace said gratefully, "Commander Gordon, thank you so much! You’ve helped me so many times—you're a true benefactor to Goldie. If I ever get the chance, I’ll definitely repay you!"
Commander Gordon laughed, "If you really want to thank me, how about treating me to a meal after I chase them off? Your cooking is honestly amazing."
Grace grinned, "No problem!"
Commander Gordon came to find Grace on the third day.
At that time, Evan Xiao was taking a bath, and Grace was making tea for him.
Just then, Lily came in and said, "Goldie, Commander Gordon is outside looking for you."
Grace was delighted. "Help me keep an ear out here, okay? If the General comes looking for me, just tell him I had to step out for something!"
"Okay." Lily nodded.
Outside Frostmoon Quarters, Commander Gordon was indeed waiting for her.
Grace ran over and asked, "Commander Gordon, how did it go?"

In the bathhouse, Evan Xiao had just undressed and gotten into the water.
Then he overheard Goldie and Lily talking outside.
She got called away by Commander Gordon?
Evan Xiao suddenly got up, put his clothes back on, and went out.
"Huh? General?" Louis Lin caught up and asked, "Where are you going?"

Grace and Commander Gordon arrived at the secluded back garden.
"Commander Gordon, how did it go?" Grace asked.
"Turns out those two really were after you," Commander Gordon said. "They even had your portrait and were asking the servants who left the mansion about you."
Grace was startled. "What? Did they find anything out?"
"I got there just in time," Commander Gordon said. "Pretending to arrest them as spies, I scared them off and then deliberately let them escape."
"They probably won't dare come back, right?" Grace asked uncertainly.
"If they're convicted as spies, neither they nor their master will survive. My guess is, they won't dare show up again," Commander Gordon said.
