One Ark and Three Heavenly Venerables

2/14/2026

The Other Shore Ark sailed forward along the Void Bridge, its hull branded with billions of rune marks. Whenever the ship reached a broken segment of the bridge and the void erupted, those runes flared with light, blocking the annihilating force of the void.

The Other Shore Ark was the crystallization of wisdom from the Kaihuang Era, and with the Taixu Geography Map gifted by Cloud Heavenly Venerable, Kaihuang was able to cross the Void Bridge—even where even Venerable Void could not.

However, Quinn Shepherd was still uneasy. After all, this ship was a product of his own visualization, not forged by countless gods and demons. Whether in structural stability or rune power, it was far inferior to a true Other Shore Ark.

"Let’s hope we make it safely across the Void Bridge," he thought silently.

The Void Bridge was intermittent; every time they reached a broken section, the void would annihilate and erupt, spawning and destroying pocket universes that gnawed at the ship’s surface runes, shattering countless marks.

Quinn’s expression changed slightly. Looking back, he saw their ship had only reached a tenth of the Void Bridge—the end was still far away.

Logan Cross’s face also changed. The danger of the Void Bridge far exceeded his expectations; the annihilating force unleashed by the void could erase even a High Heaven Hall expert like him in an instant!

That the Other Shore Ark Quinn visualized could make it this far was already beyond Logan’s expectations.

But now, the Other Shore Ark was beginning to show damage—proof it could never survive the full crossing, and might not even reach halfway!

"Spirit Embryo Treasury Domain—activate!"

Quinn gave a low shout and activated the Spirit Embryo Treasury Domain. Standing alone in its center, stars glittered overhead, reflecting his face and transforming into Heaven Duke, while the taiji diagram beneath him mirrored his features, turning into Tu Bo.

Behind him, the Origin-Root world-tree towered, with heavens of stars above it. Ancient gods emerged from the constellations, and the Four Emperors stood at the four poles of the taiji diagram.

All these gods and demons bore Quinn’s own face.

Quinn was well aware of the Spirit Embryo Treasury Domain’s major flaws, but since his independent outer domain wasn’t yet complete, he could only use this domain as an emergency measure.

Standing at the domain’s center, Quinn ran the Overlord Three‑Core Art. Within the domain, yuan‑qi and god‑sense surged between sky and earth like dragons and serpents, weaving into beams of light that linked over two thousand ancient gods.

He had studied Supreme Emperor Julius’s Grand‑Luo Supreme Divine Sense. Even though he only had a remnant chapter, it encompassed over two thousand ancient god forms—far grander than the current ancient god system.

Yuan‑qi and god‑sense connected every ancient god between heaven and earth, forming a vast ancient god network within his domain.

Quinn visualized all two thousand ancient gods at once, using them to repair the Other Shore Ark’s damage and force the great ship through layer after layer of void toward the bridge’s end.

The Other Shore Ark shuddered violently, and even the ancient gods within Quinn’s domain struggled to keep their footing—making Logan Cross’s heart pound with alarm.

"I’m controlling too many ancient gods at once; my coordination isn’t precise enough—I can’t fully repair the Other Shore Ark!"

Realizing this, Quinn immediately closed his eyes and fell into a dream. From his brow emerged a massive bubble—a dream world that expanded until it enveloped the entire domain.

Within the domain, all two thousand ancient-god Quinns smiled and entered their own dreams. Countless bubble-like dream worlds floated up, each ancient god visualizing independently inside its own dream.

This was a double-layered dream.

With this, even if a few ancient gods made mistakes in their visualizations, many more would get it right—the fault tolerance soared, ensuring the Other Shore Ark stayed in a constant state of repair.

The Other Shore Ark stabilized again. Logan Cross let out a sigh of relief, glancing at Quinn inside the domain and thinking, "I wonder how long he can keep this up…"

The Other Shore Ark pressed onward, its hull runes breaking and re-forming in a steady rhythm. The journey was stable enough, but the speed gradually slowed.

The great ship reached halfway along the Void Bridge. Logan looked back toward the starting point; the Creators’ altar was now a tiny speck.

Looking toward the end, he saw only a small glowing dot. Only Venerable Void remained, trapped in a void storm and still struggling to break free and reach the bridge’s end.

The Other Shore Ark began to shake again. Logan frowned and called out, "Cult Master Quinn, we can’t go any further! Your god-sense can’t keep up!"

Quinn was deep in the double-layer dream, unable to hear Logan’s words from the second dream layer.

Logan Cross grew tense, hurried to the ship’s edge, and leaned over. He saw the runes on the hull constantly being stripped away, ground to dust in the void storm!

At the same time, new runes kept forming on the ship—the rate of formation and destruction balanced in a delicate equilibrium.

“Cult Master Quinn can still hold out, but I doubt he’ll last much longer.”

Logan was uneasy. With Quinn lost in the double-layer dream, he couldn’t hear Logan’s words, nor could Logan wake him.

If Quinn couldn’t sense the danger and just pressed blindly on, the Other Shore Ark would soon be destroyed on the Void Bridge—ground to dust!

Just then, the Other Shore Ark suddenly halted, docking at a segment of light bridge on the Void Bridge.

Logan was stunned. There was no void storm on the light bridge, so they could take shelter for now.

But the light bridge was like an isolated island, cut off from sky and earth; being trapped here was no real solution.

Quinn awoke, the dream world fading. His god-sense was nearly depleted, forcing him to stop and cultivate to recover.

“Cult Master Quinn, don’t push yourself. With this ship, we can leave the Grand Void and return to Heavenly Court. It’s strong enough to withstand the strangeness of the Grand Void.”

Logan suggested, “Your god-sense isn’t strong enough now. You can always come back to explore the Void Bridge when you’ve recovered.”

“That makes sense.”

Quinn ran the Overlord Three-Core Art, quickly restoring his god-sense. Smiling, he said, “But we’ve already crossed most of the Void Bridge, and the Other Shore isn’t far. No matter what, I have to try.”

Logan frowned deeply.

“Don’t worry, Brother Logan—I know my limits.”

Quinn was full of confidence, smiling: “Reaching the Other Shore is hard, but turning back is easy. If I really can’t make it, I’ll turn around immediately.”

Logan still wasn’t reassured. He’d always seen Quinn as his lifelong rival, and knew his habits well—Quinn was the type who’d never turn back until he hit a wall.

He worried Quinn wouldn’t turn back at all, but would charge straight ahead—until both ship and man were destroyed!

After resting, Quinn repeated the process: once again he activated the Spirit Embryo Treasury Domain, unfolded the double-layer dream, and drove the Other Shore Ark forward.

The Void Bridge was intermittent; every so often, a light bridge appeared where they could pause and rest.

But they couldn’t linger long, since any light bridge could vanish at any time and reappear elsewhere. When it dissolved, that was the most dangerous moment—if Quinn wasn’t visualizing then, the Other Shore Ark wouldn’t last even a breath before being shredded by the void storm!

Fortunately, Quinn was vigilant, always entering the dream just before the light bridge vanished—dodging disaster again and again.

Ahead, the trapped Venerable Void was already close.

Just getting this far was something to be proud of. After all, Venerable Void was a half-Heavenly Court realm existence, one of the Ten Heavenly Venerables at the highest level, while Quinn was just a lowly Revered God—yet he’d managed to approach Venerable Void with nothing but a ship!

No one would believe such a thing if you told them.

Standing at the bow, Logan gazed at Venerable Void. The woman seemed to notice the Other Shore Ark and was struggling to break free and head their way.

Logan’s heart tightened. He gathered his qi into a blade, gripping the hilt tightly and thinking, “With my strength, could I cut Venerable Void down in one stroke? My courage is growing—my first instinct now is to strike at Venerable Void?”

His expression turned odd.

In the past, facing someone like Venerable Void, his first impulse was always to kneel—a habit ingrained so deep it was etched into his Dao-heart as slave nature.

Yet after meeting Quinn, that slave nature faded more and more. On the road to the Grand Void, he even drew his blade against Venerable Hong’s phantom once!

The deeper his connection with Quinn, the less submissive he became—he’d even dared to strike twice at Lianhua Soul and Yun Chuxiu. Both women were incarnations of the Empress and Lady Yuanmu, likely two of the Ten Heavenly Venerables!

Now his courage was even greater. After all, Yun Chuxiu and Lianhua Soul were just incarnations; Venerable Void was the real thing!

At that moment, the Other Shore Ark shook violently—the light bridge Quinn aimed for vanished!

Logan was chilled to the bone, at a loss. Quinn’s god-sense was nearly spent; he’d meant to dock and rest, but now there was nowhere to stop!

With only his remaining god-sense, they couldn’t reach another light bridge!

"Now even turning back is impossible!"

Despair filled Logan’s heart. He watched the Other Shore Ark break apart in the void storm and murmured, "We’re doomed…"

Quinn was still lost in his dream, but within the dream world, all the ancient-god Quinns cried out together, "Flame Heavenly Venerable! Where are you, Flame Heavenly Venerable?"

Logan’s heart leapt: "Why is Cult Master Quinn calling for Flame Heavenly Venerable?"

All the ancient-god Quinns’ voices merged, deafening, shouting: "You’ve hitched a ride long enough—it’s time to pull your weight!"

Logan was shaken, glancing around anxiously: "Is Flame Heavenly Venerable really on this ship? When did he get aboard? Oh—when Grandmaster Yue drew the map to the Void Bridge, his golden dragon was there too. Flame Heavenly Venerable must have learned about the bridge and secretly boarded. He hid from me easily, but is he really here?"

Just as he thought this, Flame Heavenly Venerable appeared at the center of the Other Shore Ark, blazing fire melting the void and shielding the ship from the storm.

He could fool Logan, but not Quinn—since the entire Other Shore Ark was Quinn’s visualization, wherever he hid, it was right under Quinn’s nose.

"Venerable Shepherd, even I can’t hold out much longer."

Flame Heavenly Venerable’s voice rumbled: "I’ll hold the line for a bit—use this chance to recover your god-sense."

Quinn immediately broke free from the dream world. With Flame Heavenly Venerable guarding the ark, he focused entirely on running the Overlord Three-Core Art to restore his god-sense.

After a while, Flame Heavenly Venerable grunted, unable to hold out. Quinn took over, resuming visualization, while Flame Heavenly Venerable sat cross-legged, doing his best to recover.

They took turns, and finally the Void Bridge’s end was close—the distant glow expanded, revealing three houses in the void, lit by lamps inside!

"Could anyone actually live there?" Quinn felt a sense of absurdity.

Suddenly, light flashed at the bow—Venerable Void appeared, staggering.

Logan instantly drew his blade to strike at Venerable Void, but the woman’s eyes flashed coldly. Quinn quickly raised his hand to stop Logan, shaking his head: "If you’ve boarded, you’re one of us now. We’re all in the same boat, facing hardship together. Venerable Void, do you still remember Ugly Ox?"

Venerable Void paused. Quinn smiled, his gaze settling on the curved ox horns atop her brow.

He produced the Slaughter Cauldron, and faces floated up inside, circling Quinn as they drifted through the air.

"Ugly Ox," the faces called out to Quinn.

Venerable Void’s face changed dramatically. She gasped, "You—"
