Liana Flowersoul and Elaina Cloud were shaken and uncertain. The gap between them and Quinn Shepherd was just one realm, but it felt insurmountable.
Their current bodies were still at the Divine Bridge Realm, not yet having crossed South Heaven Gate, while Quinn Shepherd was already a Revered God—a full realm above.
In the past, they had slain not only Revered Gods a realm above, but even True Gods two realms higher—quite a few, in fact.
For example, to preserve the Eighteen Methods to Slaughter Shepherd, Liana Flowersoul once wiped out all of Venerable Vast-Sky’s disciples sent into the Grand Void—every one of them at True God Realm.
They were Heavenly Venerables—Liana Flowersoul and Elaina Cloud were merely avatars they used to toy with the mortal world. Even so, neither Revered Gods nor True Gods could truly compare to them, given their vision and experience.
Yet in front of Quinn Shepherd, being one realm higher was like standing a whole heaven above; he stood outside the sky, while they remained on the ground. Even the Eighteen Methods to Slaughter Shepherd couldn’t reach him—their power failed to manifest at all.
From the moment Liana Flowersoul attacked to when the sisters were captured, they never landed a single blow on Quinn Shepherd. He didn’t dodge or counter; his mere blossoming yuan-qi blocked every attack.
Quinn slammed the two women to the ground, then closed the eye at his brow once more. His dreamscape continued: countless miniature Quinns crawled over Madam Yuanmu’s corpse, mapping her flesh and recording the Home’s End runes.
Liana Flowersoul and Elaina Cloud had their cultivation sealed by him and lay on the ground, unable to move.
Elaina Cloud blinked, then suddenly called out, "God-Knife Logan, what are you standing there for? Hurry over, slay the rebel Quinn Shepherd, and help Your Highness up!"
Logan Cross pretended not to hear, his heart uneasy.
Both women were avatars of the Ten Heavenly Venerables. Defying their orders meant wearing the traitor’s label for life—he would never shake it off.
He wondered, "What will Quinn Shepherd do with the Empress and Madam Yuanmu’s avatars?"
Logan Cross felt uneasy: "Quinn Shepherd seems to have other, ambiguous thoughts about these two women. He’ll probably spare them for their beauty. Just now, the way he looked at them was definitely off! These two must die—if they leave the Grand Void, their true bodies will learn everything that happened here!"
The Grand Void Expanse and Heavenly Court were two separate worlds. What Liana Flowersoul and Elaina Cloud experienced here couldn’t be sensed by the Empress and Madam Yuanmu’s true bodies—but once they returned to the same world, those true bodies would inherit all their memories.
If that happened, the Empress and Madam Yuanmu would never let Quinn Shepherd and Logan Cross go—they’d hunt them down no matter what.
"If Quinn Shepherd can’t bring himself to kill two peerless beauties, then I’ll do it myself—cut off their heads with my own blade!"
Saber-light flickered in Logan Cross’s eyes. Elaina Cloud was breathtaking—every gesture and smile irresistibly alluring. Liana Flowersoul was just as rare a beauty; few could withstand the temptation of these two women.
It was only natural that Quinn Shepherd would be captivated by them.
But Logan Cross was different.
