As the powerful sword-qi erupted, the surrounding space shook violently. The crowd watching the duel wore shocked expressions—sure, many of them could unleash sword-qi this strong, but Evan Lin was only at early-stage God-Venerable. That fact alone was enough to stun everyone.
The Sea Dragon Hall Master, however, looked worried. If Evan Lin’s attack power was only at this level, it would be hard to injure the late-stage peak Sea Dragon Hall’s Third Elder—and Evan might even get seriously hurt.
He was already prepared—if the Third Elder really tried to go all out against Evan Lin, he’d intervene immediately to save him. The Dragon Clan’s king absolutely couldn’t be allowed to suffer any mishap.
Across from Evan Lin, the Third Elder wasn’t too surprised by the sword-qi Evan unleashed. To defeat an ordinary late-stage God-Venerable took some real strength, but this attack was still something he could handle with ease.
“Nice one!” The Third Elder laughed, summoning a black longsword and, with a flick of his mind, slashing out at lightning speed. The power of his sword was every bit as fierce as Evan Lin’s.
For a moment, sword-qi filled the sky. If not for the Sea Dragon Hall Master’s barrier, the ground below would’ve been shredded to pieces. Even so, the barrier itself trembled nonstop, as if it might burst at any second.
Energy storms raged everywhere, looking absolutely terrifying. Most people thought Evan Lin was about to be crushed by that blow—maybe even killed on the spot.
The Third Elder’s overwhelming attack shocked Evan Lin too. He hadn’t expected the old guy’s sword-qi, unleashed in such a hurry, to pack this much punch. He’d definitely underestimated him.
But just then, Evan’s right hand flashed out with the Snowbound Divine Sword, unleashing the fifth form of Wind-God Sword Art. A new wave of powerful wind-blade sword-qi shot out to intercept the incoming attack.
The two waves of sword-qi collided in midair with a thunderous boom. The backlash was immense—Evan Lin was blasted backward, but thanks to the buffering power of Wind-God Sword Art’s wind-blades, he didn’t take much damage. Even so, deep, bone-revealing wounds appeared on his body.
The Third Elder hadn’t expected Evan Lin to unleash another martial technique—he was caught off guard and had no time to respond with his own. All he could do was rely on his powerful defenses and the lingering force of his own sword-qi to withstand the attack.
Naturally, he ended up wounded—his injuries were about the same as Evan Lin’s. He was knocked back like a broken kite, pain and shock etched on his face.
He only managed to stop after flying back several hundred meters. In this clash with Evan Lin, he’d clearly fallen behind—but since he hadn’t attacked first, he hadn’t shown his full strength.
Evan Lin’s wounds healed rapidly. Even with the Ninth Layer of the Starforge Body’s powerful defenses, it still couldn’t fully withstand the late-stage God-Venerable’s attack—unless he could break through to the same realm.
Evan Lin knew the next attack would be the Third Elder’s strongest—and the only thing he could rely on was the Icefire Divine Eye. That was the trump card he’d use to establish his prestige and shut up anyone who looked down on him.
The crowd below was stunned—Evan Lin had blasted the Third Elder back hundreds of meters and left him with serious wounds. No one could believe he had that kind of power.
For a moment, the crowd was in chaos—some thought Evan Lin was stronger than the Third Elder, others insisted the elder hadn’t used his full strength and Evan just got lucky.
Only a few realized the real test of strength was yet to come. The Sea Dragon Hall Master had considered stopping the fight, but seeing Evan Lin’s calm face, he held back.
To be honest, he wanted to see if Evan Lin could withstand the Third Elder’s next strike. As the Primordial Dragon’s reincarnation, he believed Evan had a way to handle it—otherwise, he wouldn’t deserve the title of Dragon Clan’s strongest.
Everyone stared at the two figures in the sky. The Third Elder’s wounds healed quickly, but his rage nearly drove him mad—he couldn’t help but let out a dragon roar that echoed across the heavens.
Hearing the dragon roar from the Third Elder’s mouth, Evan Lin’s heart skipped a beat. Was the guy planning to reveal his true Sea Dragon form? If so, the Icefire Divine Eye wouldn’t do much damage.
His true Sea Dragon body was at least several thousand meters long. Punching two big holes in such a huge body wouldn’t mean much. Evan started to worry—did he need to reveal his own true form too?
But he decided against it. Unless he really couldn’t seriously injure the Third Elder, he’d stay in human form. If he did reveal his Primordial Dragon identity, the elder wouldn’t dare attack, and the Hall Master would intervene for sure.
Luckily, although the Third Elder let out a dragon roar, he didn’t transform. Instead, he glared at Evan Lin and said angrily, “You got the first attack—I didn’t expect your power to be so strong. You won’t be so lucky this time. Hope you’re ready, Vice Hall Master.”
Evan Lin knew he was about to face the elder’s strongest martial art. “Show me what you’ve got—don’t disappoint me.”
As soon as he finished, Chaos Divine Power surged through his body and into his eyes. This was the moment—he couldn’t afford a single mistake. His gaze locked onto the Third Elder.
The Third Elder flashed forward, his longsword spinning out a sword-flower that blossomed into a massive sword-net. Even from afar, Evan Lin could feel the terrifying energy—it was a strike destined to shake the heavens.
The sword-net was packed with razor-sharp sword-qi; if it spread out, its attack would tear anyone to shreds. Evan Lin hadn’t expected the Third Elder to have such a terrifying martial technique.
Even the Hall Master was unsettled now, ready to rescue Evan Lin at any moment. Everyone’s hearts were in their throats—the attack was so powerful that the entire barrier shook, and those on the ground could barely stay standing.
Evan Lin’s anger flared. “If you want to kill me, you’ll have to pay the price!”
With a thought, Evan Lin unleashed the Icefire Divine Eye—two beams, one red and one blue, shot from his eyes at incredible speed. No one could dodge them, not even the Third Elder.
The beams struck the Third Elder squarely, shattering his sword-net. The powerful sword-qi surged toward Evan Lin, but the beams scattered much of it—still, the attack was terrifying.
Evan Lin’s Icefire Divine Eye stunned everyone…
