Ugly Armor

Ten days later, Mudriver City.

Mudriver City is a medium-sized city with a population of around five million.

On this day, a group of nearly a hundred young elites entered Mudriver City. Each bore an extraordinary aura, but at the moment, their faces showed travel-worn exhaustion and fatigue in their eyes.

Shortly after the group entered the city, two young people—Jason Zhuge and Rhea Yan—came forward and said to Ian, the handsome young captain leading the team: "Captain, we've already booked an inn—everyone can check in at any time!"

Everyone smiled in relief. To reach the front as quickly as possible, they'd traveled non-stop for seven days and nights—even with Sigilforge-level cultivation, the exhaustion was catching up to them.

Ian waved his hand: "Alright, we'll rest in Mudriver City tonight and head to the front tomorrow!"

His words were met with a round of cheers from the group.

This team came from Dragonfang City, and every member was a standout among the younger generation.

After Ian defeated fifty Sun-Souls working together, and then Emperor Abyss, his reputation skyrocketed. When word spread that he was heading to the front to fight the Insect Horde, countless young elites wanted to join him.

The number of people wanting to follow him to the front reached several thousand.

So Ian selected over a hundred of the strongest, and led them at a gallop toward the front.

The pair of young people from earlier were Jason Zhuge and Rhea Yan.

After Ian killed the Zhuge patriarch, Raymond Zhuge, Jason's father Nathan Zhuge seized control of the family and named Jason the young master.

If Raymond Zhuge hadn't died, Nathan Zhuge would never have touched real power. So, in his heart, he's grateful to Ian. As for avenging his brother—don't make me laugh. In big families, killing fathers and brothers for power is nothing new.

Nathan Zhuge personally arranged for Jason to join Ian's frontline team, as a gesture of the Zhuge family's support.

The Zhang brothers, who used to be Ian's rivals, have also joined the team.

They apologized to Ian, admitting that his strength was simply overwhelming.

Brian Zhang, who'd clashed fiercely with Ian before, also swallowed his pride and joined the team.

Ian accepted their apologies without holding any grudges. After all, he needed every bit of combat power for the war against the Insect Horde.

Led by Ian, the team checked into the inn and settled in for a well-deserved night's rest.
