The Qilin Divine Lord’s Personal Divine Attendant
Lily Bai kept teasing little Yoyo, feeding him snacks, while the Clan Ancestor smiled and occasionally reached out to play with him too.
He wasn’t shy at all, and was super affectionate and friendly with the Clan Ancestor.
Suddenly, a Divine Attendant rushed in from outside, beaming. "Dragon Lord, Lady, High Immortal Quinn has arrived!"
Lord River Drake and his wife exchanged glances, both looking utterly shocked.
Then, they personally left their seats, stood side by side, and went to greet High Immortal Quinn.
A refined, handsome young man in blue walked in, bowed to the Dragon Lord and his wife, and said, "This humble immortal greets Lord River Drake and Lady."
"High Immortal Quinn! What a rare guest! What brings you here today?" Lord River Drake asked with a hearty laugh.
"I have come on my lord’s orders to deliver a birthday gift for Lady Serena," High Immortal Quinn replied.
"This... this is far too much honor!" Lord River Drake was both delighted and a little confused.
"Everyone knows Lady Serena is virtuous, devoted to Lord River Drake and his family—she’s a role model for all Three Realms." High Immortal Quinn smiled. "My lord heard of this and ordered me to bring a special gift: first, to celebrate Lady Serena’s birthday, and second, to wish the Dragon Lord’s family harmony, health, and lots of children!"
High Immortal Quinn’s words made Lord River Drake and his wife genuinely happy. They accepted the gift, hurriedly added a seat, and placed him right up front.
Lily Bai couldn’t help but send a sound-transmission to the Clan Ancestor beside her: "Old Ancestor, who exactly is this High Immortal Quinn? Why did Lord River Drake and his wife get up to greet him personally?"
The Clan Ancestor replied, "He’s the personal Divine Attendant of the Qilin Divine Lord."
Lily Bai’s eyes widened. "The... Qilin Divine Lord?"
"That’s right."
"But why would the Qilin Divine Lord send a birthday gift to my aunt?"
The Clan Ancestor glanced at Lily Bai, looking thoughtful, but didn’t answer.
"Old Ancestor?" Lily Bai called out to him.
"Didn’t you just hear it?" the Clan Ancestor said.
"His explanation feels a little forced. I mean, the Qilin Divine Lord—the master of the Lumina Realm—sending a gift to a mere half-immortal consort? That’s just weird."
But the Clan Ancestor didn’t answer her again.
Lily Bai knew better than to press further.
She wasn’t actually that close with the Clan Ancestor anyway.
During the banquet, guests kept offering birthday wishes. Lily’s aunt thanked each one, graceful and poised, never missing a beat.
After all, she’d been an empress before. Even in the Divine Realm, her manners and bearing were flawless—better than most goddesses, honestly.
Lily Bai was genuinely happy for her aunt when Snow Yuan walked in.
Snow Yuan always gave Lily trouble, but she was hands-down the prettiest goddess Lily had ever met.
Almond eyes, rosy cheeks, skin like creamy jade—she wore a misty white pipa-collared top, an autumn-gold embroidered skirt, her hair swept up with tassels and two glossy black braids draped over her chest. She was absolutely stunning, but still playful and lively.
Not wanting to get into it with her again, Lily Bai dropped her gaze, quietly gnawed on a spirit fruit, and tried to blend into the background.
But apparently, after a few years apart, Snow Yuan had matured a bit.
As soon as she walked in, she offered birthday wishes to Lily’s aunt: "Lady Serena, happy birthday."
"Thank you, Goddess." Serena Summers stood up and thanked her politely.
"I just got back from below today, so I’m late. Please don’t hold it against me, Lady Serena," Snow Yuan added.
Wow, she really has grown up, Lily Bai thought.
