Falling-Sun Gorge

As for Luna Nangong's thoughts, Evan Chu naturally had no idea—nor would he agree even if he did. Luna was indeed very beautiful, but he no longer entertained such ideas.

He was about to ascend to the God Realm and saw no need to let another young girl get emotionally entangled. Glancing at Luna Nangong, he noticed a strange look in her eyes—a look he was all too familiar with. He was a bit startled. "Could it be that she has feelings for me? I'm not going to hurt anyone else."

"Now that Big Brother and Sister-in-law's issues are resolved, I've fulfilled my promise. Let's end the banquet here. Loveless Sword Tomb's scenery is truly stunning—I'd like to tour it properly, then set out for Frostbane Imperial Palace tomorrow and await your grand wedding." Evan Chu said at this moment.

"Let Luna show you around. Our Loveless Sword Tomb has several truly enchanting spots—once you've visited, you'll never want to leave." Jade Qin said at this moment.

"I'd love to be your guide! Come on, let me show you Loveless Sword Tomb's wonders." Luna Nangong said immediately, as if afraid Evan Chu might refuse.

Yvonne Xuan and Serena Frost, both experienced in such matters, immediately understood Luna Nangong's reaction. Though they didn't mind Evan Chu gaining another sister, they couldn't help feeling a little uneasy—but they kept it hidden in their hearts.

Soon after, Evan Chu and the Emerald Immortal Empress left with the group, while Nolan Nangong stayed behind to pour out his years of longing to Jade Qin. After so many years, their bitterness had finally turned to sweetness, and they could have talked for three days and nights without running out of things to say.

Luna Nangong led Evan Chu and the others to a mountaintop. "Big Brother Chu, this is Loveless Sword Tomb's most beautiful spot—Falling-Sun Gorge. Don't be fooled by how barren the summit looks; when the sun rises, it transforms into something else entirely."

But that's not the main attraction. The real paradise lies beneath Falling-Sun Gorge, though few ever reach it. Sometimes, a powerful toxin appears in the canyon below. It won't kill you, but it can leave you weak and powerless for dozens of days.

If you want to check it out, you'll need some luck. If you run into the miasma, you might be stuck down there for dozens of days before you can climb back to the summit. Want to give it a try?"

"Heh, is that so? That's pretty bizarre—I really want to go check it out. What do you all think?" Evan Chu asked the group of women.

"Of course there's no problem! With you here, we can relax a thousand percent. The miasma might be fierce, but to you it's nothing. Even if we really got poisoned, we'd be fine. Let's go!" Yvonne Xuan said at this moment.

Luna Nangong was briefly stunned, her face full of confusion as she looked at Evan and the others. "You have a way to neutralize the miasma's poison? That seems impossible. My mother and several elders have gone down before, and all had to wait for their strength to recover before coming back. Even with their power, they couldn't dispel it.

Even though Big Brother Evan is stronger than them, it's not certain he'd be able to neutralize it. Our Loveless Sword Tomb's Third Elder is an expert in medicine. He brought lots of antidotes last time, hoping to break the miasma, but he still got trapped for dozens of days before returning.

He said this miasma can't be dispelled at all—the toxins are weird, at least dozens mixed together. Each one is rare and deadly, but when combined, they somehow lose their lethality and just sap people's strength instead."

"Don't worry, Luna. With Evan here, no miasma can touch him—he's got a body immune to all poisons. Now you get it, right?" Yvonne Xuan laughed.

Luna Nangong felt thunderstruck—she never imagined someone like that existed in the world. "If Big Brother Evan is really that amazing, then let's go down! The bottom of the gorge is truly beautiful and mysterious; you'll see for yourselves. It's especially magical at night."

Immediately, the group drifted down to the gorge's floor. Evan glanced around and saw flowers everywhere—a world of blossoms, all kinds in full bloom. The only flaw was the lack of birds, probably driven off by the so-called miasma that kept flying and walking beasts away.

A wave of wonderful fragrance wafted into their noses, the scent of hundreds of flowers—maybe this was the miasma everyone talked about.

"Young Master, this floral scent is the miasma. Some of these flowers are extremely poisonous, some are rare spirit herbs. It's very unusual for so many to grow together in one gorge. I suspect there's something special here—maybe even a hidden treasure causing all this," the Emerald Immortal Empress said.

Evan Chu knew the Emerald Immortal Empress was well-traveled and insightful. If she said there was something unusual here, there probably was—maybe some rare treasure or heavenly material hidden in the gorge. "Let's search around and see. How are you all feeling, any weakness in your limbs yet?" he asked.

"It's not that fast," Luna replied. "The miasma doesn't always make people weak right away—I've said before, it's all about luck. If we're lucky, we could stay in this gorge for three or five days and be fine. If we're unlucky, we might get poisoned the moment we come down.

This miasma is unpredictable. Even though I know it's from the flower scent, every whiff smells the same, so it's impossible to tell when the real miasma appears. That's what frustrates everyone most," Luna Nangong said.

Evan glanced at everyone, then rolled up his sleeve and pulled out the Frostbane Divine Sword from his storage ring. Luna was puzzled by his actions and asked, "Big Brother Evan, what are you doing?"

"You'll see in a moment. Do any of you have empty porcelain bottles? I need them for something!" Evan said.

He had two bottles himself, but that wasn't enough for everyone. "I've got some, but they're full of pills. How many do you need? I can dump the pills out—none of them are rare anyway," Luna said.

"Perfect, hand them over!" Evan said.

Luna handed over three porcelain bottles. Evan took them without a word, then gripped the Frostbane Divine Sword and slashed his own wrist. Instantly, golden blood flowed out, and he hurried to catch it in the bottles.

He'd barely collected two drops before the wound healed itself, stopping the blood flow. That annoyed him—a defense and recovery this strong could be a pain sometimes. If anyone knew what he was thinking, they'd probably call him crazy.

Luna, meanwhile, stared at Evan like he was a monster. She didn't understand why his blood was golden, or what use he had for it...
