The Place This Passage Leads to Is Actually Here
The two had just come together, noticing the glow coming from each other. They grinned and moved closer.
Evan Yang caught their moves right away—both were holding glowing green stones. They flashed their stones at each other, confirmed they were allies, and teamed up.
"What are they up to?" Evan wondered suspiciously.
The moment those two spotted Evan, they exchanged a glance and unleashed fire attacks on him. Without a word, Evan dodged instantly, snorting, "Who are you?" But inside, he scoffed, "Trying to take me out? No way!"
Before the two could even ramp up their attack, Evan had already taken them down and snatched the glowing stone from one of their hands.
No matter how much he tried to explain, the other just wouldn't listen. So the two started brawling, neither able to get the upper hand.
Watching them fight, Evan snickered to himself, "Trying to set me up? You guys are way too green!"
Just as he finished, another person showed up from behind. Evan thought for a moment, waved the stone in his hand, and lured that person over, who then jumped into the fight.
That guy refused to give up and ended up getting badly hurt. Evan thought for a second, tossed the stone back to him. Now, Evan was stone-less and instantly became everyone's target. He found another person who wasn't hurt much, and soon that one got swarmed too.
Soon, the group began fighting among themselves. When everyone was badly injured and started to lose their nerve, Evan snickered inwardly, "Arrogant fools."
Besides that, Evan noticed a bunch of people already on the verge of collapse, dragging themselves out of the mist, while the rest limped away too.
When they saw everyone covered in wounds, some nearly dead, they all assumed Evan was the culprit. But one guy cursed, "Who attacked me just now?"
"Nobody did," another replied.
"Nobody? Are you all blind?" the guy who got ganged up on cursed.
Liam Li and Shawn Bai waited an entire year. When their group finally returned, they asked what happened. Hearing they'd been tricked by Evan, everyone frowned. And when they learned Evan had vanished, suspicion grew even deeper.
"My stone was stolen, so all of you attacked me!" the guy who got mobbed said angrily.
Hearing that, another chimed in, "Mine got stolen too. What about you guys?"
"He just vanished?" Shawn Bai muttered, not willing to accept it.
Turns out, that's why everyone ended up nearly killing their own teammates.
Once they realized what had happened, everyone wore a furious expression.
As for Evan, he had already left with a cheerful smile. Watching them fight so viciously among themselves made him want to laugh.
"This mist zone lasts for at least a few more hours. I really wonder who designed it," Evan muttered to himself as he sped along without delay.
It's easy to imagine how vast this mist layer is. When those people wanted to go back in and teach Evan a lesson, they hesitated, worried he'd mess with them again. Plus, since they were all injured, bullying Evan was out of the question, so they left in frustration.
After several hours, Evan finally stopped at a destination. In front of him was an opening, glowing with blue-black light and radiating a mysterious power.
Standing there, Evan felt a voice in his mind urging him to enter, but something felt off. "Strange, have I been here before?"
He felt a sense of déjà vu, leaving him very suspicious. He definitely hadn't been here before—if not for the route given by that elder, he wouldn't have known about this passage.
"Whatever, I'll just go in and see." Evan made up his mind and stepped inside.
As soon as he entered, darkness closed in around him, with only a single passage ahead, leading to who knows where.
"Where does this lead?" Evan wondered, since there was no information at all about what lay inside.
Curious, Evan stepped onto this strange path. He had no idea that the space inside was bizarre: while he'd spent only a month within, nearly a year had passed outside. In other words, time here flowed ten times slower than outside.
Of course, Evan didn't know this at the time—it would only become clear later.
Outside, the group sent by Liam Li left with everyone else once the space reopened.
When they exited, the roll call was repeated, but one person was missing—Mu Han. Liam Li's group exchanged glances, wondering if they'd really managed to kill that kid inside, or if he'd simply gotten lost.
The steward noticed Mu Han was missing and recorded it, planning to have someone search for him next time the space opened.
Liam Li and Bai Xin waited an entire year. When the group finally returned, they asked about what happened. Upon hearing they'd been tricked by Evan, everyone frowned. And when told Evan had disappeared, they grew even more suspicious.
"That place shouldn't be so easy to get lost in, unless you go too deep," Liam Li said, puzzled.
"Yeah, we kept track of our direction, so once we were badly hurt, we just came back out," someone replied.
"He just vanished?" Bai Xin said, unwilling to accept it.
"Yeah," the others replied.
"Damn it, how am I supposed to get his treasure now?" Shawn Bai cursed inwardly.
Li Xing said gleefully, "Maybe he really died in there, or got lost. Even if not, next time he comes out, he'll definitely be thrown into the Enforcement Corps for not leaving on time."
Shawn Bai and Colin Green nodded, but Shawn still felt unwilling deep down.
On the other side, the old sweeper heard that Evan Yang hadn't come out and muttered to himself, "He should have made it there safely."
Actually, Evan had already entered that passage safely, but inside, time flowed strangely—a month inside meant a year outside.

When the second month arrived, Evan no longer saw the dry, monotonous road. Instead, he noticed things drifting around.
Curious, Evan approached and discovered they were souls. Souls here? He was intrigued, thinking he’d entered the Soul‑World, but soon realized these souls lacked awareness, just drifting aimlessly.
All the souls were semi-transparent, so Evan could see them clearly. Looking around, he saw they were everywhere.
"Strange, what kind of place is this? Are all souls like this?" Evan wondered, and kept walking. After a while, he saw a different soul—a blue, translucent one.
