If you ask who Yina Yin is afraid of, the first answer definitely isn't Charles Yin or Cecilia Gu.
The second isn't Ethan Yin or Miles Gu either.
The only person who can make Yina Yin willingly back down and admit she's wrong is probably Cherry Miller.
Don't let the title fool you—Cherry Miller may be Chief Special Assistant, technically just Yina Yin's employee and subordinate.
But in reality, Yina Yin is especially scared of Cherry Miller getting angry.
Cherry Miller is super serious. If Yina Yin messes up, Cherry will actually get mad and totally ignore her.
Yina Yin can't stand Cherry Miller ignoring her; that's the only thing she's truly afraid of.
That's the kind of bond you get growing up together—a friendship that lasts through thick and thin, life and death.
No one else can even come close.
While Cherry Miller and Yina Yin went off to rest, next door Jake Kee and Mason Ming were both a little distracted.
Jake Kee was wondering, why did Cherry Miller suddenly leave him behind tonight? Who did she go to see?
Is that person really better than him?
Does he even stand a chance?
Mason Ming, meanwhile, was thinking: Yina Yin has saved him so many times—does that count as a hero rescuing the beauty?
If Yina Yin didn't care, why would she keep swooping in out of nowhere to pull him out of trouble?
But if he really ended up with Yina Yin, could he ever be good enough for this golden girl?
So, with all these thoughts swirling, Jake Kee and Mason Ming went back to their rooms—tossing and turning, unable to sleep.
The next morning, both Jake Kee and Mason Ming showed up with serious dark circles under their eyes.
"Didn't sleep well last night?" they both blurted out at the same time.
Then, in perfect sync: "You too, huh?"
Jay Kee raised his hand and said, "Alright, alright, let me ask you first. What's going on with you?"
Mason Ming's eyes flickered as he replied, "It's nothing, really. Just couldn't sleep. What about you? Why couldn't you sleep last night?"
Jay Kee didn't think much and blurted out, "Isn't it all because of Miss Miller? Mason, I have a bad feeling—my rival is seriously strong. I don't think I can beat him."
After saying that, Jay Kee slumped and sighed, "But just giving up? No way, I can't accept that! A girl like Sis Cherry—if I miss out, I might never meet someone this amazing again."
Mason Ming didn’t agree with Jay Kee’s habit of chasing after powerful people, but he did agree with the last part. For Jay, this might be his only shot at someone so outstanding.
She’s the Chief Special Assistant of Yin Group, after all. How could she not be amazing?
Ordinary folks could never reach someone like her in their whole lives!
Looks like Jay Kee’s probably going to lose this battle.
Mason Ming wanted to tell Jay Kee the truth, but Miss Yin told him not to say anything.
Well, then, he’d keep quiet.
Jay Kee’s the talkative type. After a bad night’s sleep, he grabbed Mason Ming and started pouring his heart out: "Mason, tell me, what’s wrong with me? I’m not a top-tier looker, but I’m not ugly, right? I’m young, cute, and talented. So why doesn’t Miss Miller feel anything for me?"
Mason thought for a moment and said, "Maybe she really just doesn’t feel anything."
Then Mason wondered, he wasn’t bad-looking himself—could he ever catch Miss Yin’s eye?
Probably not, huh?
That Miss King said Miss Yin already has a fiancé, and he’s both handsome and rich.
What do I have to compare?
Thinking that, Mason Ming suddenly felt super dejected.
Jay Kee saw Mason looking even more down than himself and thought Mason was sad for him. Moved, he threw his arm around Mason’s shoulder and said, "I knew you were my best bro! You’re worried about me too!"
Mason Ming: "..."
I’m not! I’m really not!
