Elder Hugh Hu raised his eyebrows and said, "I'm not interested in any of that. Do you know why your son was detained here?"
"I've heard about it. Someone provoked him, that's why things ended up this way," the man replied.
"Provoked him? I think it was more like he provoked others. He even dragged people to Tigerlock Cavern. Doesn't he know the Demon Tiger is imprisoned there?" Elder Hugh said.
"Of course he didn't know. I bet not many people know about it even now, so you can't blame him," the man said.
"I suppose you really can't blame him! But I'm a person who always separates gratitude from grudges. This whole mess started because of him—if the Demon Tiger isn't captured, I won't let him go. You can head back now," Elder Hugh said.
Hearing this, the man frowned, while Elder Hugh walked away, leaving the man fuming, "Damn it, just wait and see."
The man left. When he appeared again, he was already inside a large manor. He entered a garden, where an elder sat, shrouded in black qi.
When the elder saw the man approach, he opened his eyes and asked, "Patriarch Samuel Shen, you've come?"
"Xander Xu, looks like I'll need your help with something," Patriarch Samuel Shen said.
"Oh? What is it?" Xander Xu asked curiously.
"My son was captured by people from Heaven's Guardian Hall. You have connections with them, so I hope you can help me get my child back," Patriarch Samuel Shen said.
"Your son? Why would Heaven's Guardian Hall capture him? As far as I know, they don't usually care about stuff like this. Did he cause trouble inside their Hall or something?" Xander Xu asked suspiciously.
"That's not it. My son accidentally wandered into Tigerlock Cavern, and somehow ended up releasing the Demon Tiger. Now Heaven's Guardian Hall is saying that unless the Demon Tiger is recaptured, they won't let him go," Patriarch Samuel Shen sighed.
"The Demon Tiger? Are you saying the Demon Tiger sealed by Heaven's Guardian Hall has escaped?" Xander Xu exclaimed.
"Yes," Patriarch Samuel Shen replied.
"That's fantastic!" Xander Xu said, delighted.
Patriarch Samuel Shen was confused. "You're happy about this?"
"Patriarch Shen, this is a golden opportunity. If we can control the Demon Tiger, the Shen Family will be unbeatable in the future," Xander Xu said with a smile.
After thinking for a moment, Patriarch Samuel Shen smiled and said, "That's actually a pretty good idea."
"So, we need to go find the Demon Tiger," Xander Xu said.
"But my son..." Patriarch Samuel Shen frowned.
"If we can subdue the Demon Tiger, and it fully recovers, what chance does Heaven's Guardian Hall have against us?" Xander Xu said with a smile.
"That's true, but even Heaven's Guardian Hall can't find it—how are we supposed to?" Patriarch Samuel Shen asked curiously.
"Don't worry, I've got a way. But I'll need your help, Patriarch Shen," Xander Xu said, smiling at him.
Patriarch Samuel Shen asked suspiciously, "What is it? Just tell me."
"I need ten Lesser-God-level cultivators, or one Great-God-level, or five Mid-God-level ones. Any of those will do!" Xander Xu said to Patriarch Shen.
"What do you need them for?" Patriarch Samuel Shen felt uneasy.
"For a blood sacrifice! So you'd better find some strangers—don't let anyone catch wind of this. If word gets out..." Xander Xu said.
Patriarch Samuel Shen nodded. "Understood. I'll handle it right away."
After Patriarch Samuel Shen left, Xander Xu sneered, "I never thought heaven would help me like this."
