"Guess you got lucky and ran fast."
Byron Yang muttered, still baffled. He turned back to the classroom and found all the students staring at him. Instantly, his brows furrowed: "What are you looking at? Get back to your exams! Don't copy that transfer student—he's nothing like you!"
"You're all Capitalview First High students—you carry our school's honor! Don't let outsiders distract you!"
After Byron Yang's speech, the students immediately shut up and hurriedly got back to their test papers.
Standing at the podium, Byron Yang glanced at Evan Lin's test paper, couldn't even be bothered to look at it, and kept pacing the classroom as he proctored.
But Byron Yang kept thinking—maybe he should find time to talk to Director Ben Lu. If Evan Lin keeps this up, Class 32 is bound to fall apart.
Senior Year Class 32, Capitalview First High.
This was the Experimental Class, where all the students were top scorers—the very definition of straight-A overachievers.
After handing out the test papers, Henry Wang was very satisfied to see his class of top students looking surprised.
This test was perfect for training—the real challenge would show the true gaps between students.
Henry Wang was most interested in seeing how Lynn Chen, the transfer from Brightsea City, would score. Past grades were one thing—now Lynn had to prove herself.
Henry Wang glanced over at Lynn Chen, sitting in the third row by the window, watching her expression.
He noticed that Lynn Chen, just like the others, was stunned for a moment when she got the test. But she quickly picked up her pen and started writing, totally unfazed. Henry Wang was very pleased.
Actually, the moment Lynn Chen got the test, she thought of Evan Lin. She'd already practiced these questions once after hearing about his award, so even if she didn't remember everything, she could still handle most of it.
She didn't write smoothly, but at least she finished the whole test without any real trouble.
The bell rang for the end of class.
"This test was insane!"
"Oh my god, this test was seriously tough!"
"I only finished three-quarters of it—the last few problems were insane, I couldn't figure out anything!"
Even in the Experimental Class, everyone was grumbling when the papers were collected.
"You all need more practice. The scores will be out tomorrow and announced at the student-teacher assembly. Anyone who does well could get a school-wide commendation!"
Henry Wang grinned, collected the test papers, and left the classroom.
"School-wide commendation!"
Hearing Henry Wang's words, many students were shocked. If you got a school-wide commendation, you could be nominated for the city's 'Triple-Good Student' award—huge for college entrance.
After Henry Wang left, Mason He, his nose bandaged, got up and walked over to Lynn Chen, forcing a smile: "Lynn, school's out. Want to walk home together?"
"No thanks."
Lynn Chen packed up her things and shook her head.
Mason, Minister He, even with that bandaged nose you can't sit still! Aren't you worried Lynn's flower-guard will beat you up again?
Yeah, Minister He, is your back healed yet? You're really chasing after Lynn!
The girls nearby all joined in, laughing and teasing.
Mason He snorted, "I was just careless this afternoon. Otherwise, I could've flattened that kid with one hand."
You all remember when I fought a dozen gangsters by myself!
Mason He puffed up with pride, convinced he was impressive, but didn't notice Lynn Chen frowning slightly, clearly annoyed.
"Hey, bandage boy—flatten me with one hand? Want to try again?"
