Rebuilding Loveless Sword Tomb

1/19/2026

Not long after, Evan Chu and the Black Qilin appeared above Loveless Sword Tomb. At this moment, Loveless Sword Tomb was already in utter ruin—the once beautiful scenery had completely vanished.

Jade Qin and Nolan Nangong were busy treating the wounded disciples. Yvonne Xuan and the Emerald Immortal Empress were also helping out, while many disciples carried the bodies of the dead outside, lining up at least a hundred corpses in neat rows.

Evan Chu felt a crushing sense of guilt in his heart. His momentary impulse had caused such massive harm—a truly devastating blow to Loveless Sword Tomb. He knew that Jade Qin must be feeling terrible right now.

But he still had to face her. After landing from the sky, Evan Chu’s expression was grim. “Sister-in-law, I’m truly sorry—I never imagined things would turn out like this. Now that Loveless Sword Tomb has ended up this way, I should bear all the responsibility.”

Jade Qin glanced at Evan Chu and said, “Lord Chu, I know you didn’t mean it. Maybe this is the tribulation Loveless Sword Tomb was destined to face. Thankfully, not too many disciples died, and the casualties aren’t as bad as they could have been. It’s just that our living quarters have been destroyed and must be rebuilt. If you really feel guilty, then I’ll leave the reconstruction of Loveless Sword Tomb entirely to you.”

“No problem, I’ll cover all the costs,” Evan Chu said, delighted. “But I do have a suggestion—when we rebuild Loveless Sword Tomb, I’d like to choose a location right next to Martial Spirit Dominion. After all, you’re already family. If we merged Loveless Sword Tomb directly with Martial Spirit Dominion, it might seem too abrupt. What do you think, Sister-in-law?”

Jade Qin didn’t answer right away but glanced at Nolan Nangong. Now that their relationship was settled, she would no longer be sect master of Loveless Sword Tomb. Still, Loveless Sword Tomb couldn’t simply disappear—it carried generations of sect masters’ inheritance, and she refused to be the one responsible for ending it.

At that moment, Nolan Nangong spoke up: “Evan, just arrange things however you see fit. Both your sister-in-law and I will follow your lead. Once Loveless Sword Tomb is rebuilt, I’ll hold our grand wedding with your sister-in-law. At that point, Loveless Sword Tomb and Martial Spirit Dominion will formally ally, and disciples from both sides will be free to travel and reside wherever they wish.”

“That’s perfect. This way, your sect’s power will be even stronger. I’ll have Jade handle everything, so you and your sister-in-law can rest easy! I also got a lot from the God-Venerable’s Treasure Vault this time—maybe you won’t need the God Stones yet, but some of the pills are absolutely vital. I’ll give you a few.” Evan Chu said.

He immediately took out several bottles of pills—each one was an extremely precious pill from the God Realm, far superior to the Immortal Realm’s top pills. Even a single pill could revive the dead and regrow flesh and bone.

It was time to leave. After Evan Chu and his women bid farewell to Jade Qin and Nolan Nangong, they left Loveless Sword Tomb. The Black Qilin followed them as well. Although the women had many questions in their hearts, none asked Evan Chu, and he himself wasn’t ready to answer.

The whole way, everyone was quiet and didn’t speak much. Their flying speed was slow, and after more than half a day of travel, they finally reached the territory of Martial Spirit Dominion.

“Jade, we need to carefully pick a place to rebuild Loveless Sword Tomb. This time the scale has to be grand—no matter how many Starstones it costs, we have to do it right. Sister-in-law didn’t really blame me, and that makes me feel even worse.” Evan Chu finally spoke.

“Don’t worry, Young Master. I’ll do my best to get it done,” Jade promised. “I remember there’s a valley over three hundred li from Martial Spirit Dominion with a great location, perfect for building a sect. Should we go take a look?”

“Let’s go check it out. If it looks good, we’ll start construction there. You need to move fast—once the rebuilding is done, we’ll still need time for seclusion before we ascend to the God Realm together.” Evan Chu said.

“Evan, you haven’t told us anything about what happened in the vault this whole trip. Did you run into some trouble? And why is he coming with you—what exactly happened?” Yvonne Xuan couldn’t hold back her curiosity any longer and asked.

“Yeah, there were some unpleasant things, but it’s not worth talking about. Still, I did get the treasures—the whole vault was prepared just for me. As for Old Black, he’ll be going with me to the God Realm. With his protection, I’ll be much safer there, so don’t treat him as an enemy—his strength is terrifying.” Evan Chu reminded them.

“Don’t worry, Young Master. I won’t harm any of them—I know they’re the most important people to you. I offended them before, so I hope they won’t hold a grudge,” the Black Qilin said.

Soon after, Evan Chu and the others arrived at the valley Jade had mentioned. It was just as deserted, with lush green trees and beautiful scenery. However, the cliffs on both sides of the gorge were extremely tall, reaching straight up into the clouds.

“The environment here is great, but the valley floor isn’t very wide. We’ll need to expand it; otherwise, the sect will feel too cramped. I say we let Old Black flatten the cliffs on both sides!” Evan Chu suggested.

“It’s a small matter, Young Master. Just wait—I’ll handle it right away!” said the Black Qilin.

He flashed into the air and then dove down into the valley, vanishing from sight. Evan Chu could have done it easily himself—just two strikes of Divine Cleave would suffice. But Divine Cleave was so powerful it could flatten all the cliffs nearby, destroying the original scenery.

The Black Qilin’s strength was overwhelming—even while holding back, he was far beyond Evan Chu’s level. At that moment, a black longsword appeared in his hand, and he slashed out with it. The sword’s radiance shot straight into the cliff, and he soared upward as if splitting the mountain with sword energy—an eerie sight.

He quickly reached the mountaintop, then moved sideways for several li and slashed again before descending into the gorge. The group was puzzled by his actions—was he really planning to split the valley and lift it out?

If that was the case, it would be truly shocking. Just as Evan Chu suspected, the Black Qilin suddenly transformed into his true form, rapidly growing into a massive Qilin hundreds of meters tall, radiating an overwhelming aura.

He flew up to the cliff, gripped the giant rocks with his four enormous claws, and let out a roar. The split cliffs were actually lifted up by brute force—it must have weighed countless tons. Evan Chu and the others could only stare in shock.

“What the hell, he can do that? The Black Qilin’s strength is insane! I’ve never seen anything like this—he just lifted a whole mountain. Terrifying, absolutely terrifying!” Evan Chu muttered to himself.

“That’s nothing, Evan! In the God Realm, there are plenty of people who can lift entire mountains—their strength is beyond your imagination. The Black Qilin only pulled up a small part of the cliff; back in the day, even I could have done that,” Princess Serena Hua said.

“That strong? If it were me, I’d probably just get crushed by the cliff. After the Black Qilin cleared both sides, the valley is much wider now, and the scenery on the other cliffs is still beautiful. Maybe only he could manage that—if I tried, I’d have destroyed everything,” Evan Chu said with a helpless smile.
