The entire secret chamber was silent. Evan Chu calmed his excitement and checked the items inside the Coiling-Dragon Ring again—he had truly struck gold this time.
Inside the Coiling-Dragon Ring were countless white crystalline stones, each radiating powerful energy Evan had never seen before. But he could clearly confirm these were God Stones.
A God-Venerable's storage ring would never hold low-grade God Stones; at minimum, these were high-grade or supreme-grade. Evan also found several dozen palm-sized stones that were different from the rest—their energy was even purer. Instantly, a thought flashed through his mind: God Crystals.
These are the same kind of existence as Immortal Crystals—top-tier items. With these God Crystals, boosting his strength would be much easier. His biggest resource problem after ascending to the God Realm was now solved. Evan could barely keep from laughing aloud.
Besides God Stones, the Coiling-Dragon Ring also contained many jade tablets and pills—all extremely precious. The jade tablets would make it much easier to understand the God Realm, but they also made his mission feel even heavier.
Evan Chu immediately put the Coiling-Dragon Ring on his finger. As soon as he did, the ring flashed with a white light, and a sharp pain stabbed his finger, making him grimace.
He saw clearly that the Coiling-Dragon Ring had actually disappeared, yet he could still feel it on his finger. This was the first time he had ever experienced something like this.
In fact, Evan Chu didn't realize that in the God Realm, any high-quality storage ring automatically hides itself inside the wearer's finger to prevent discovery and theft. He could wear the Coiling-Dragon Ring only because his junior brother had lifted its restrictions, making it a masterless item.
Otherwise, even if he had obtained the Coiling-Dragon Ring, his spiritual sense couldn't have entered it, let alone used it. For Evan, this was a heaven-sent opportunity.
Evan Chu glanced around the secret chamber—there was nothing else worth exploring. He'd already spent a good amount of time inside; it was time to leave. What worried him most was whether Princess Serena Hua would discover his true identity. He could only hope to keep it hidden until after his ascension to the God Realm.
Evan Chu stepped out of the secret chamber. The Black Qilin didn’t attack—instead, he looked at Evan with deep respect, all arrogance gone. As soon as Evan appeared, the Qilin declared, “Palace Lord, I never imagined you were truly the Palace Lord. From today, I’ll follow you and help avenge my old master.”
“That’s exactly what I need—I want your help. But you have to promise: my identity can’t get out, especially to Princess Serena Hua. Right now, she thinks I killed her father and wants revenge,” Evan warned.
“Revenge? If she really dares, I’ll kill her myself. Hidden dangers like that can never be allowed near the Palace Lord,” the Black Qilin replied coldly.
“From now on, don’t call me Palace Lord—just call me Young Master. That title could expose me. I’ll call you Old Black. But I’ve got one question: how did you get to the Immortal Realm? God Realm beings aren’t supposed to descend here, right?” Evan asked.
The Black Qilin paused, thinking hard. After a while, he said, “It was my master. Back in that great war, I would’ve died in the God Realm, but my master transferred everything to his avatar and put me inside the Coiling-Dragon Ring. He burned all his essence blood to rip open space and send the avatar down to the Immortal Realm.”
Nobody knew about this move. Coming down from the God Realm slashes your power. When I finally emerged from the Coiling-Dragon Ring, I was on the verge of death. My master poured his last Divine Power into me—saved my life, but sacrificed any chance of resurrection.
While I was unconscious, he built this place and set up the Flower–Moon Realm, waiting for a fated person to claim the inheritance. Maybe he always knew you’d come—everything here was for you. I just didn’t know it.”
Evan was still a bit puzzled but didn’t press. If descending is so hard, then who suppressed the ancient fiend beneath Skyflight Terrace in the Immortal Realm? Could it really be that junior brother? Seems impossible—there are other sealed places too. Maybe these mysteries can only be solved after I ascend to the God Realm.
“So, can you ascend to the God Realm now?” Evan switched topics.
“I think so. If I unleash my full power, a god-grade tribulation will hit instantly. The only reason I haven’t faced it is thanks to our Second Palace Lord—he controls thunder punishment and probably knows my mission, so he’s kept the lightning tribulation off me. But if I try now, I might trigger Heavenly Punishment itself.
"The terrifying power of Heavenly Punishment is beyond your imagination. One strike could destroy the entire Immortal Realm—that's what worries me most," said the Black Qilin.
Evan Chu was shocked and quickly asked, "Is there any way to avoid this Heavenly Punishment? If you can't ascend to the God Realm, it'll be a huge problem."
"For others, there may be no way, but with you there might be a solution. Young Master, you carry one of Frostbane Divine Palace’s three supreme artifacts—the Timewheel Bracelet. If I enter the bracelet, I can avoid Heavenly Punishment. After reaching the God Realm, I'll fall into a period of sleep, and once I wake up, everything will be fine," said the Black Qilin.
"Really? Then can other people enter the Timewheel Bracelet so I can bring them to the God Realm with me?" Evan asked. If possible, he could take all the important people from Frostbane Imperial Palace to the God Realm.
"That's impossible. Even if you brought them to the God Realm, they couldn't appear there. The divine energy would reject their bodies, and another lightning tribulation would strike them. That tribulation would be far more terrifying than ascension—almost certain death," said the Black Qilin.
Evan was shocked again. Thankfully, he hadn’t acted rashly, or he could have doomed many people. It seemed that Jade Chu and Tom Chu would also need to undergo their own tribulations before ascending; he could only wait for them to emerge from the Timewheel Bracelet before attempting his own ascension.
"I understand. There are still two secret chambers here—we won’t destroy them, but leave them for other fated people. Now, let’s go check on Loveless Sword Tomb. The destructive force I borrowed from Stellar Power must have done serious damage there," Evan said.
Evan Chu and the Black Qilin flew toward Loveless Sword Tomb. This treasure-hunting expedition had turned out far better than expected—he was truly returning with a full harvest, something he’d never imagined.
